Hi Sgt. Well done on a good intro to IES set up.
I tried the v3.5 and currently find it rather complex. Being
lazy it will take me a while to get up and running to fly this
properly. The other 1946 versions keep me busy anyway for now.
Having said that is it possible you could give us the mediafire
download link for the English version of 3.6. It is written in
the French website but not directly linked and my poor eyesight
struggles to note every part of it.

Thanks for this tutorial. I have IES 3.6 installed and running.
It's a great version, with features that give it an extra point
of realism and immersion. But we must remember that it is an IL2
mainly oriented to online flight, according to its creator.
Missions from other facilities will not work here, or they will
have to be edited manually, replacing the names of many objects,
planes, vehicles, etc: I did this job with a complex mission
originally made in HSFX, and I don't know if I would do it
again. Anyway, EMS pilots are very professional, they are very
nice people, and it is a privilege to fly with them several
times a year. It is also common to find an open server on
Hyperlobby with the newest version, but it is not always
available.
The download links are in the original document
that you can download here below. Good flights everyone!

Thanks Haukka. Does the link download the whole 3.6 or an update
to 3.5?
The link is only for a pdf document, where are the installation
download links, as you can see in the tutorial of Douglas
Rangel. In this specific document, the links are to download a
full 3.6 version, without the need for a 3.5 version.
It is highly recommended to see the complete video
tutorial to understand how to install IES. Then you will have to
map out some extra controls, and follow a very specific
procedure to start your engine, depending on the type of
aircraft (there is a generic procedure, a procedure for Bf.109
Emil, and a procedure for jets). You will also have to configure
your oxygen mask, because if you do not put it on at an altitude
of three thousand meters, you will slowly pass out until you
lose consciousness. All this information is in a folder called
Tools, within the same root folder. IES is a great version, but
it requires patience to learn.
Warm regards, my
friend

IES is
Il2
Enhanced
Simulator.
It is a unique IL2 that has followed a
different development path, I think it is based on version 4.0.9
of the simulator, so its flight models are different from the
current versions. Its creator is EMS_Lebig, and he has been
working on it for many years. [font=verdana, arial,
helvetica, sans-serif]It is the official version used by the
pilots of the French EMS Squadron (Escadre des Missions
Spéciales) to fly. [font=verdana, arial, helvetica,
sans-serif]I think it is the old Histomod, but this I am not in
a position to say for sure. ;)
