Re: Plane of the Week: the Bolton Paul Defiant

Now I think I want to try this thing again. Lars reply #6 has
some interesting historical approaches. The parallel attack
sounds quite doable. I don't understand what "converge on a beam
attack" means though.

The converge means two or more Defiants crossing over a
formation from opposite sides at the same time thus splitting
the defensive fire. In other words a beam attack.

Hallo Gents.
I wonder why same planes do not exist as mod but merged in the
game .
Best regards.

Hey my friend... I think you're asking why there's no 'stand
alone' plane? (i.e. only in the big SAS pack install rather
than individual install?)
If so I can say that to my knowledge that's how 'they' (the SAS)
like to do it. It makes people dependent upon 'their' pack. I
see their point, yes, but personally do not like that approach.
That's not knocking them, but rather disagreeing with their
methods. I personally prefer STAND ALONE mods which gives one
an option to add this plane or other mod or 'not' add it,
freeing up or using resources at one's own preference rather
than being forced to take an ALL or nothing install.
Anyway, my two cents. That's why this site is here... to offer
alternatives in a friendly, interesting way. Thanks to folk
like Dimon, Herb (as above) and others that kindly help keep it
moving in the right (and free) direction.
S!

Ciao Beo.
Thanks for replay.
Two different points of view.
I like single mods , more fleasible .
Thanks, grazie .
