First flight in awesome looking Do335. (Reminded me of my
favourite Do335 in Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe back in the
day) Ordered wingmen to cover me. Could only lift off after the
end of the runway for some reason. Fighter cover disappeared
ahead of us then reappeared later. Cruised at around 3000ft
until target sighted. Ordered wingmen to attack my target.
Strafed the road and claimed one truck then turned around to
strafe again, totally forgetting my bombs. Received a few hits
from AA. On the second strafe I destroyed a second truck but it
blew up as I flew over taking me with it. Ended up two trucks in
report but my death meant zero points.
Good choice Otto. Enjoyed it despite my usual incompetence.

Nice mission. I almost killed myself at the beginning of the
attack, but miraculously survived. After that I was much more
careful. A good time in the area breaking things, then the
Russian gunners burned an engine from the ground, and I had to
go back. Good ending. thanks for this mission, it was fun.

I will not be flying this one because I flew it on auto to check
about the targets an all... So I know where they are and I dont
feel
it would be fair to fly it... I dont think I would beat you
Haukka because that is a great score you have.....

Hi Otto! I think you should fly it the same as the others, since
the location of the targets is not a problem in this mission:
they are relatively close and even the brief indicates where
they are. The real difficulty is being there and not breaking
your neck by hitting a tank. Don't deprive yourself of the fun,
especially now that a very dark cloud begins to cover the lives
of all of us.

Mission --Trial By Fire
Plane - Do-335V-13
Time - 1410
Score -- 22
We took off and all was fine. About 10 mins into the flight
we got jumped by those bad guys.
The jets boys took them on and we made it out ok and headed to
the target area.
Made my bomb run for what good that was .. BAD BOMBS I say and
stickin to that story. Never hit anything.
Came back and made a few passes and hit some trucks and a tank..
Took on AA fire and had a fuel leak and headed to home base.
Jammed the flaps. Ripped a Wheel off then came in and
crashed....
I did not make it.... Plant some nice flowers Please.
That was a good fun mission ..Hard but fun....

Say what? How the heck do you get a score of 7? Isn't that like
trying to spend a $3 bill?
As per my current MO, I went in and was doing well. Got a
tank...circled back, got a truck...circled back, lined up on a
truck but was not in good position. Rather than make another
pass I tried to make it work...and ended up in the dirt.[/font]
