I am seeing the same thing as lars with BAT. Here is the reason:
Mission error, ID_04: java.lang.RuntimeException: Weapon set
'2xLTW_Torp_spread' not registered in air.JU_88A4torp
java.lang.RuntimeException: Weapon set '2xLTW_Torp_spread' not

The JU-88 torpedo loadout for this mission is not in BAT 3.8.2.

Go into QMB and check to see what TROPS you have for this
plane..
Then go into the mission file and change it to what you do
have......
I did some checking and found that these Torps are from the
stock game where I had NO MODS.
In the mission file it is listed as shown here
------------------> weapons 2xLTW_Torp_salvo
They use salvo and not spread.......

While active, this competition was interesting and fun. Have we
totally lost interest? Or have we just become distracted and
forgotten this entertaining proposal, amidst all the confinement
and dark announcements with which we are continually bombarded
in the media? Maybe there are very few of us who enjoy flying,
and this was a good way to get to know each other better.
Hopefully this will come back on. Cheers

I agree. We kind of lost the bubble here due to Corona I think.
I know we have a lot of distractions going on but I would like
to see this revived it possible.

I have been on the HUNT for missions.
I think I have a few in the works... But right now I'm having a
hard time keeping my wee mind working...
In a few days maybe I can post one....... ;)

I was looking at Gubi's massive mission downloads but it seems
hit and miss whether they load properly or not. The BAT single
missions are also a possible source but not everyone has BAT. I
also checked M4T single missions but the choice is limited.
Maybe we can set up a QMB if we all have the same maps and
aircraft list although a mission with objectives is probably
more fun.

I have found some that work in the stock game.
I am waiting for the OK from the builder before I post the
mission.
BAT is a problem as I don't have it and once when I tried a
single mission from BAT it screwed up the Install of my game...
So I warn everyone don't use them...

BAT covers so many areas it only take one mismatched mod to
cause problems. However when it works it is great.
Gubi has taken the paid for dvds such as Fighters over the
Waves, Citadel, The Last Days. etc and broken them into single
missions. Some of those campaigns have awesome missions. I
believe they can be loaded into Vpmodpack so we could use that
if necessary.

When starting this activity a few months ago, Master Beowolf
proposed that we fly with the 4.12 5.30 mod-act version of the
simulator, a simple installation that I think we all have here.
And while I am sure that several of us here have BAT, it would
not be advisable to ask those who do not have it, to install it
to fly a mission. Although it is a very complete version, it is
also very large, and perhaps not everyone wants to have it.
I think it would not be too difficult for any of us, by mutual
agreement, to install a version 4.13.4 mod-act 6.4 (it is just
an example of a possibility, it is not a firm proposal), in case
we wanted to expand the spectrum of possibilities. I am almost
sure that everyone here has more than one version of the
simulator on their computer. I have flown several of the
missions of this competition in VP Modpack.
Many of Gubi's missions go well in 4.12 5.30 mod-act, but there
are so many missions, that the selection work can be very hard,
and that's a lot of work for one person.
One possibility that would make this activity more agile and
dynamic would be that each week the mission is proposed by a
different pilot: we would be rotating. It could be someone
else's mission, or a mission of their own.
And if we wanted to go a little further in expanding our
possibilities, we could even prepare a special mod to be
activated by JSGME, including what was necessary to fly a
specific mission. It would also be an excellent way to test
together some of the material proposed in this forum.
This is already being done for several years in my squadron,
with the added difficulty that we fly there online, with an
average amount of 15 pilots per mission; and in the current Zuez
campaign, where the French EMS and the Spanish E69 fly together,
about 30 pilots fly together. If 30 pilots can agree on a
version of the simulator and its mods, to fly online, how could
we not do it here by flying offline? With much more reason, we
should be able to do it.
With this simple example, I am not proposing that we fly this
way or that, I just want to point out the fact that since we are
a handful of pilots interested in this competition (which I do
not see as a competition either, since I am not competing with
anyone here, just with me :), it should be relatively easy to
find a deal.
They are just ideas, as we can see, there are many
possibilities. I would like to know what Master Beo thinks.
Regards

Good points Haukka. I was not implying we change to what others
may not have or their system cannot cope with. You are right in
thinking Vpmodpack or 4134 with modact64 would broaden the
range. If those involved are willing to load Gubi's missions to
say Vpmodpack then I am happy to search for missions we can all
enjoy. When I tried them at first I found two in three had a
problem but Gubi told me I may have been unlucky in selection.
He presented them after much hard work as they are, warts and
all. He also meant that if a problem is found it is up to the
user to solve it.
This voluntary mission flying has shown me variations I would
not normally get around to so is very welcome. It displays the
versatility of some modders who may be forgotten otherwise.
As you say Beo's input would be most welcome on this matter.
