Great fun! BTW... that last mission flying for the Rooskies was
       a blast! The Yak3 was like a super plane...handling more like a
rocket ship than a WW2 fighter...lol. VERY responsive and
lively. Does anybody remember if that particular plane was (um,
over-modeled like some of the Russian planes apparently were?)
I know I caught the American I nailed with his pants down
(target fixation?), but I can't believe the late model 38's
would have been THAT easy to take down. I dove from like 1500k
to about 800k and it only took a heartbeat ...not kidding...the
       Yak was ZOOMING baby!
       8) 8) 8)
My mates scattered and took on the other P-38s and also made
       short work of them.
An epic mission for me as I never had too good of a success rate
with the Russian planes back in the day.

It's pretty clear Herr OttO is the pilot to beat! :o :o He
has an outstanding success rate, kill ratio and mission
       completion/survival!
The man's a killer in the air...hold the phone...

'Chop! Chop! Chop!' and they're done. ;)
I fly all the time, but do too much test flying for my mods and
not enough actual combat flight, and that's putting me at a
tragic disadvantage, plus my eyesight's gone to hell the last
few years. I'm liable to be chasing a speck on my screen rather
than an enemy plane then the REAL bugger will drop down behind
me and pop, pop, pop and it's over! argh! ???
Anyway...wow, 700 score so far, OttO...sensational! Keep it
going and you're likely to end up a General! ;D

Ok, chaps! Pilot scores dutifully updated! 8) 8) 8) Good job
       all!
Any pilots wanting to start this series is gleefully accepted,
merely start with the 1st mission and fly thru till you catch up
with the rest of us, giving us your results at the completion of
EACH mission as you go along.
       Salute! ;D

A question for all of you.
Seeing that I do not have VP's mod nor Bat. I would like to
know if you have planes from
       the SCW ?
If so that would make for a good mission to run here.....
DreamK made many planes for that time .....

He sure did! Excellent idea! My idea for now though was to try
and keep it 'stock' planes/maps (more or less) so that no one
would have to download anything 'except' the missions to play.
I just thought it might be easier for everyone if they could
just download/install the mission...and go at it. And by stock,
I mean planes and maps that came with 4.12 5.30 mod-act which I
had hoped would also include VP's add-on and maybe even the
       older versions of CUP/BAT.
Anyway, I'm game for whatever you guys want to try so just let
       me know.
Until we get some comments though, I'll continue to go ahead as
       scheduled, okay? ;)

I think stock missions are the way to start as you say. Nobody
has to worry about special DLs or setups for now. Just load in
and fly. As we progress we can try different scenarios later. I
am not against non WW2 action but anything 1937 to 1945 will be
fine, including Spain, China, Nomonhan, as well as the main WW2
       scenarios.
       Personally, I have 4122 BAT3.8, 4122 Vpmodpack, 4134modact6.4,
       4134 Ypack122, and stock 4141. I also have DBW7.1 saved on an
old external drive which is gathering dust.

I have seen this in a closed post, and I want to make a small
       comment about it:
"just my tally system flawed. I'll fix it into a new and
better format as quickly as I can"
Hi Mr. Beowolff. Take it easy, it is not necessary for this to
become a job for you. No matter how long it takes to implement a
new counting system, as long as each of us posts their results,
the information is safe, and the fun is also guaranteed.
       ************************************************
       And speaking of Yak3:
Does anybody remember if that particular plane was (um,
over-modeled like some of the Russian planes apparently were?)
I do not have this information, although using the IL2 Compare
it can be seen that the best performance of the P-38L is above
7000m of altitude. To make this comparison, I had to open the
mission in FMB to see which model of P-38 was facing us, I am
not outlawed because I have flown the mission two days ago!
In addition, I suspect they were rookie pilots: they not only
confused the target, believing they were attacking Germans, but
also failed to coordinate with each other to repel our attacks.
Completely newbies. What continues to surprise me is that we
were as dumb as they were, enough not to realize they were
       allies!

       Okay Pilots.... ;D
does this look okay to you??? Of course if it is, I still have
information to accumulate and fill in but this is just example
to show. Does this give good, clear totals quickly read and
       easy to understand?
