Missions Results/Debrief for Week of 2/2/2020 thru 2/9/2020

Results/description of mission: 1 enemy kill (USA P-38), No
Damage, survived and RTB safely, Objective Complete

*Air start, headed towards enemy targeted ground position/enemy
air activity. Flew in at altitude, quickly accessed the
situation/spotted several enemy planes tangling with our own
planes... spotted a twin-tailed plane chasing one of ours nearby
so I quickly rolled over and dove on him. Getting close, I
chopped throttle and at near point blank range (too close
really) I opened up with ALL weapons. He stuttered in the air
and began smoking from port engine, I kept hammering him but was
too close by then and so gave him one last burst and pulled up
to avoid collision. He blew up slightly under me peppering me
with debris but I registered no known damage. By then my
fellows had dispatched of all other enemy there. I ordered my
group to return to base and I did so myself. I landed (a bit
hot as not used to the Yak)… good landing anyway, turned at
tower and taxied to nearby parking area. Received OPERATION
COMPLETE alert immediately upon landing. I felt good about the
mission and the kill, however I will acknowledge that I should
have flown it more professionally. I was TOO eager to tackle
the enemy and let my eagerness ALMOST get me killed by getting
too close to the enemy when attacking and almost getting hit by
his explosion. I was rather proud of my Red Comrades for their
successes as well.

Not sure how I even got 50 points on this one. I have an excuse
though! On our way in two planes in my flight collided so we
went in with just the two of us. I got some good shots off but
got hit from behind in my left wing and that damaged my control
surfaces. I was struggling to fly level and got hit hard,
probably a P-38 cannon round, and had to bail out.

Results: Made my usual crash landing at airfield. Damaged one
P38
Mission score: 150
Mission info:
I have never flown a Yak before let alone a Yak3. Delightful. I
led my flight to a target airfield where we saw one P38
strafing. I called my flight to attack and my wingman to cover
me, while looking out for the strafer's friends. We all piled in
and somehow I managed to hit the P38 without colliding with my
eager mates. I was awarded half a kill. Searched the area for
the other P38s but could find none. Ordered my flight back to
base. My wingmen did meet them later on the way back. I landed
and cocked up as usual, coming in too fast, ripping off the
undercarriage. At least I could walk away with half a kill.

FYI for everyone... I have hundreds if not thousands of hours
flying the crap planes of this game..
99% of my game play was on-line. Well it did teach me a lot
about all the planes....
Everyone did good --So Good Job Guys...... ;)

objectives completed. Three intruders were eliminated, one of
them is shared. RTB with the plane in perfect condition. I'm
fine too, but I'm hungry.

Hour 12:50 - the mission begins in the air. I am in command of a
squad of four Yak-3. I know this plane, a Cuban pilot from my
squad gave me lessons with this device more than seven years
ago. It is one of my favorites among Russian airplanes, that
gives me a lot of confidence. Also, it awakens good memories of
a friend that I haven't heard in a long time. We accelerate our
engines flying under the clouds, while maintaining an
approximate heading of 225 °

Time 12:52:25 - Secondary objective: Complete, this means that
we have reached the middle city
time 12:53:38 - we see next shots outside the vicinity of the
airfield that is southwest of the city; we wisely increase the
power of our engines, while telling my comrades to begin the
persecution of enemies;
Time12: 53: 51 - I cross an Fw-189, strangely, it's silver. I
expected them to be green, but today they are silver. However,
the fight begins.
Time 12:54:39 - I am entering at five of the enemy, I will soon
shoot. It is an easy, heavy and predictable
goal.

Time 12:54:59 - I destroy the starboard fuselage of the German.
There is no way to save it, it falls like a leaf.

Time 12:57:27 - After continuing to fly south in search of more
fascists, we discovered a couple of them, which are turning
towards our eleven.

Time 12:58:04 - along with a partner, we begin an advanced
search for two enemies, my partner follows one and I go for the
other, the hunt restarts,

Time 12:58:23 - I've punished my prey quite a bit, finally his
left engine caught fire, he will never return home...

12:58:46 hour - second plane shot down confirmed
Time 12:58: 56 - the other silver twin-engine is still in
flight, and is harassed by the attacks of three Yaks,
Time 12:59:14 - I enter the battle, trying to reach the German
before my anxious companions.

Time 12:59:37 - I get to touch it a lot with my Soviet lead,
it's going to bite the dust directly,
Time 12:59:40 - Third plane shot down confirmed, to be shared
with Comrade Commander Strogov. The steppe has been abandoned,
it's time to go home.
Time13: 05: 50 - The city surrounded by the cultivation fields
of our country seemed too beautiful to us, and we decided to
take a low-flying ride over the river that runs through the
city.

Time 13:08:36 - in the final stretch, preparing the landing.

inconvenience.

Observations:
So far it has been the easiest mission of all. The German pilots
seemed stunned, perhaps due to an overdose of Bunderbalsam. Nor
did they have too many opportunities against the superiority of
the agile Yak-3. It has been a very entertaining mission, of an
intermediate duration (about 22 minutes approx.). Flying this
plane is very nice.
Thank you very much for these missions. We will see what happens
in the next one, I am not very friendly with the aircraft
carriers.
