Member name :larsresult
Actual mission name: Battlepoints Mission 2
Date flown: 1/25/2020
Results: 3 kills. Bailed out when engine damaged by Hurricane.
Mission score: 300
Misc info: Climbed rapidly to about 6000ft and ordered gruppe to
attack bombers when they appeared. I dove in to their right
flank to close range and blew the tails off two Mosquitoes on
the first pass and flamed a third on the second pass. I managed
to damage the fourth Mosquito but was hit in the engine by a
Hurricane that came out of nowhere. I tried to turn on my
attacker but he proved very slippery. My engine was running
rough so I headed to base but Hurricanes seemed to be waiting
below for an easy kill. Therefore I bailed and survived. I guess
I should have ordered the gruppe to cover me rather than go for
the bombers.
Geschwader records three confirmed enemy kills. Both kills and
bravery noted in records, personally congratulated by the Air
Field Commander.

Thanks Beo. Thinking about it, I am not sure if it was friendly
flak or an unseen Hurricane that got me in Mission 2. I was
surprised how easily the Mosquitoes went down, even though I
fired at 40 or less. The ones loitering below may have been
after the Fi156 trying to land but best be safe rather than risk
losing 3 kills in a damaged and helpless plane.

No...you did right. In real life surviving is the key, living
to fight another day. I did a similar thing my very first
(screw up) mission. Rather than fight on sorely damaged... I
hit the silk to fight again. And it paid off as I did my
Country a favor the NEXT mission by nailing an enemy.

If you allow me, I will complete all missions not flown as soon
as I return to civilization. I will return to the service this
Wednesday. Thank you!
Note, you are not required to fly all missions... . Fly when
you can, don't worry about it when you cannot....merely start
with the 1st mission and fly thru till you catch up with the
rest of us, giving us your results at the completion of EACH
mission as you go along.
Ok, now, by reading in other posts, I see it clearer. Again
thank you very much!

Actual Mission Name: Battlescene MTO_de #2
Date single mission actually flown: 2/13/2020
Results/description of mission: Airplane returned with damage,
pilot unharmed, and three planes shot down.
Mission Score: 600
Misc. Info if desired:
Hi everyone. I have returned to my plane with a
hot and bellicose humor, for things of life. The point is that I
just completed my second mission of the first week.
It has been a short and intense mission that has
lasted nine minutes, and very productive in terms of stress
relief. Without further preparation than the simple and direct
brief, I took off and set an oscillating course between 60 ° and
30 °. I dedicated myself to take height. Having exceeded one
thousand meters of altitude (I don't know exactly at what
altitude), I saw a formation of four twin-engines. I entered
with too much angle for the initial erratic course, and very
soon I was directly behind the enemy. In other circumstances
this would have been fatal, but here it was not: there were no
rear gunners. I dedicated myself to giving love to the bombers,
the first one burned, the second one I don't remember, but I
gave it enough love, and the third one I broke it into pieces.
As I watched my pilots taking care of the fourth bomber, very
aggressive Hurricanes appeared, one of them dove towards me,
making a low yo-yo, and then climbing and shooting with fury. It
reached my engine. I ran to the base with the engine burned and
coughing, and I was able to land, although on the way the
Hurricanes gave me enough lead. Finally, after turning off my
engine, I could see at least two Hurris fluttering on the base,
between clouds of flak. My plane needs severe repairs, but my
mechanics will have it operational in a few days. I trust them.
In the command office they confirmed three planes shot down by
me.
