Some one Please get us a mission to play.
I just can get in the mood of it right now.
The mission needs to be one that plays in STOCK GAME only....No
Mods.... ;)
Tested in VPModpack, 4.14.1 Stock and HSFX7.0.3. It is an old
cooperative mission of JG26_EZ, I have made it Single, in
addition to softening the ferocity of the enemy, as well as
improving the climate a little. You find it in Single / DE /
Cold Hearts by EZ.
I hope you enjoy it.

After a LONG down time... I have (am trying) to get back into
this marvelous mission playing... I did the above mission and it
was mayhem! LOL! :D Very hard mission but I felt like a
****/cherry in the massive confusion of the battle (a MAJOR
soviet attack!) and the heavy foggy atmosphere where it was hard
for me to see. Had some issues with controller input too but
managed to get it straightened out mid-flight. Got my arse
handed to me and was killed... not shot down, no, merely
ploughed into the ground while trying to bag another kill.
Whoops! >:(

Shameful, ^^ I know. But I gave it my all at the cost of my
life to the Fatherland! ??? ;)
In my opinion, that is the most difficult mission of the past
year. I have flown that mission many times, and in a high
percentage my results have been like yours. I love knowing that
you've uploaded and tried. With a little practice you will
remove all the rust from the wings and you will be like new.
Congratulations on your return to virtual skies!

One thing that saddens me about this... our old and loyal friend
Otto has vanished seemingly not to return. And to add more
misery, all of his photo's and especially his links to missions
has vanished as well!
??? :'(
On further investigation it appears that both his images AND his
missions were actually removed 'by' Otto himself for some odd
reason! Does anyone have any idea why our good friend should
have done this?
True, it's his and certainly he has the right to do this but
without letting us know why really hurts my feeling. He was a
close companion! I miss all my gone friends but in particular
old friend, Otto!

I agree Haukka. I can't find his last post right now, but I
thought he said he was having some health issues and was taking
a "leave of absence" for a while. He sounded like he intended to
return, but made no mention of when.
And didn't he have a problem with his images disappearing once
before, prior to the leave of absence? He restored them somehow
that first time.

IL2 AIR COMBAT! OFFLINE COMPETITION
Y2021 - Week 11 / PROTECT RAILWAY BRIDGES
Good morning gentlemen. After yesterday afternoon's attack, our
boys have already cleared the field. Fortunately the Cossacks
have not caused much damage. Today we have an urgent job. Early
this morning we got a code message from the enemy, where they
speak of "going for a walk to the bridge" in sector F-11, before
noon. It is very likely that in this war of mounted spies, the
enemy already knows that we have been sending supplies to the
front by rail. One of those trains is on the way today. The
problem is that there are four railway bridges in that sector,
and we don't know which of them will be the Russians' target, so
you need to be very attentive. The bridges are in a reduced
area, it will not be difficult to cover the area. Do not climb
more than 500 meters, lately the enemy has been entering our
territory crouching at the bottom of the valleys, also today
there are clouds at a thousand meters, so we hope that they will
arrive flying low. You take three veteran pilots with you, you
must get there before the Russians, so it is necessary that no
more time is wasted. Take off immediately and set course 155 °,
directly to F-11.
Remember, the priority is to make the enemy drop their bomb
before reaching their target.
Before taking off, study the map for a moment to familiarize
yourself with the area. Good luck!

Ah! Wait a minute! There is something else. We have heard that
the Russians have a new fighter, very fast, but we have not seen
one yet, and it is possible that the bombers will come with an
escort this time, after the beating we gave them two weeks ago
... be very careful!

Y2021 - Week 12 / "GET IT DOWN FROM THERE!"
Petroskoi has fallen, the fighting in northern Carelia and on
the Isthmus has died down. Everyone is waiting to see when
Moscow will fall, and this war will be over...
Those aircraft you met the other day was a nasty surprise! A
compleletly new type, very modern, clearly superior to those old
I-153's and I-16's. One of the planes fell on our side of the
lines, and Intel people have examined it. They say it's called a
MiG... the Germans have already met them. They are dangerous
aircraft, so look out.
Today's mission has been assigned to you because you have shown
great efficiency in previous missions, and we need a seasoned
pilot for a delicate job. The Soviets have placed an observation
balloon southeast of Matoksa that is causing us a lot of
trouble, you two will have to head there and send it to the
ground. Do not stay in the area once your mission is complete,
return to base immediately.
Good luck pilots. We have our trust in You. Fly bravely and
boldly. We are waiting for you for dinner.

IL2 AIR COMBAT! OFFLINE COMPETITION
Y2021 - Week 13 / STRIKE IN MARINGY
Good morning Gentlemen. Today we have been transferred to a new
series of four missions, which are originally based on the great
Lightning Strikes Campaign (M4T), whose author is IceFire (calm
guys, we have already investigated it with InterPool, it is
clean) where we will fly over Normandy with the 367th Fighter
Group ( 9th Air Force).
However, whoever has flown this campaign in the past should not
expect to find the exact same missions: I have modified, added,
corrected, adapted and built on top of what was done, even
changing everything at times, so these are new challenges,
adapted to the demands and times of this competition. But it
could not be otherwise, since the original requirements for this
campaign published in 2006 were the following:
"Pacific Fighters Merged installation V3.04m"
Anyway, there goes our recognition and gratitude to the creator
of the campaign, as we always do, since the basis of my work is
the creativity applied by him more than a decade ago.
Well guys, I see you very relaxed today ... Anyone want a
coffee? Please don't ask for sugar, this is war!
Let's get into today's topic, which requires an introduction.
This time we will be operating in Normandy, always from the same
airfield, which, like any well-organized airfield, has certain
simple rules. Do you remember that graphic where the circuit
around an airfield was shown?
[img
width=600]
HTML https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/76/Airfield_traffic_pattern.svg/1600px-Airfield_traffic_pattern.svg.png[/img]
We will have to keep this diagram in mind in base operations,
especially in landings. The most important thing to take into
account is the landing direction, and the place where you will
park your plane when the mission is finished, because you should
know that the boss wants us to do it well and that we leave the
plane under its own camouflage mesh. This speeds things up so
your team of mechanics doesn't waste half an hour guessing where
you've left your plane.
We will operate from the Airfield Sainte Marie du Mont, at C9.4.
This field has two parking sectors, Sector A, only for
single-engine airplanes, and Sector B, where the P-38s and other
larger birds rest, and where clearly you must also go.
Your parking spot
will be marked with a cross on the ground. Review the
following diagram to find out where you should park your plane.
This applies to all missions for the next four weeks.
[img width=1024
height=728]
HTML https://i.postimg.cc/fbntfXXN/ASMDM.jpg[/img]
Okay. You are now ready for your mission. It is July 24, 1944,
and the fighting on the ground is intense, although the
Luftwaffe is a bit absent these days. Anyway, do not trust too
much that they do not appear.
Your role in this mission: ground attack, in a place that will
be indicated to you in the brief (as this information is
obviously confidential, it cannot be said here, we do not want
the Germans to know where we will attack just by reading in this
forum.)
Read the brief carefully, study the route, go and do it!
Good luck and come back healthy!

IL2 AIR COMBAT! OFFLINE COMPETITION
Y2021 - Week 15 / RAILROAD HUNTING
Welcome gentlemen. I was waiting for you. Sit down. I'll briefly
introduce you to today's situation chart: The Army is moving
toward St. Lo. When the infantry boys get there, they will need
all the help we can give them, so that they can drive the
Germans out of the city. To achieve this goal, all tactical
squadrons on this side of the Channel have been ordered to
conduct low-altitude patrols to attack trains and vehicles in
the southern areas, to halt German efforts to resupply on the
front lines.
Your orders are in the mission brief. Stay away from skirmishes
that are developing on the ground to ensure your survival.
Go there and complete your mission before night falls.
***************************
Today's mission comes in two versions, a first version for
4.12.2m & SAS Modact 5.3, and also for BAT BLUE EDGE 4.1.2,
and another specific version for VP Modpack. This is due to the
absence and / or replacement of some objects in VP Modopack,
which is why the mission must be slightly modified.
Unfortunately, this great version of the game has these minor
problems, which force me to edit the missions in a special way
just for this version. This had already happened last year with
some missions prepared by Otto, which when I flew them in VP
Modpack presented difficulties. The main one at that time, the
poor lighting of some default maps, at certain times, which
constituted a significant difference with the same missions
flown in other versions of the game. For this reason, which I
have already talked to some members, I will only support VP
Modpack in this mission "week 15", and in the next mission of
week 16. From week 17 onwards I will not edit missions again at
VP Modpack, focusing exclusively on 4.12.2m & SAS Modact 5.3 and
BAT BLUE EDGE 4.1.2.
Thanks for your understanding.
Greetings, and good flights to all!
