[Supportive] I’ve been a fan since 2001. Watching her grow up on
screen has been a joy, but this news is a wake-up call. The
filming for Season 9 has been non-stop since January. Between
the recording studio, dance rehearsals for the Duchess songs,
and 16-hour shoot days... it's too much for a middle-schooler.
Rest well, our little Hana. We will wait for you forever.

I hope the "antis" who were complaining about her "looking
tired" last month feel terrible now. She was literally pushing
her body to the limit for us. It’s so sad that it has to come to
a total collapse before management lets them rest. I’m lighting
a candle for her tonight.

Does anyone know what this means for the plot? Is Hana going to
be "written out" or sent to a "boarding school" in the story?
Honestly, I don't even want to watch the next episode if she
isn't in it. It’s not SOHAI without Himari.

I just hope it isn't anything serious like a permanent vocal
injury. She worked so hard on those Paparazzi harmonies. Take
all the time you need, Himari. Eat well, sleep 12 hours a day,
and come back when you're 100% ready. Your SOHAI family is
waiting.

I need to vent. I watched the live performance of Duchess -
Crown today and why is Himari barely getting four lines? She
literally carried the 2007 and 2008 seasons on her back. Now IU
is doing all the ad-libs and the high notes. I know Himari was
on hiatus, but her health is fine now! Her voice is deeper and
richer than ever. It’s like they’re hiding her behind the "Main
Dancer" title just to push the new girl.

Is anyone else annoyed by the line distribution in the new
single? Himari has been the main vocal of this franchise since
2007. She has the power, the range, and the stability. Now she’s
being treated like a "Main Dancer" who just happens to have two
lines. IU is talented, sure, but she doesn't have the impact
Himari has. Why is management pushing Himari to the back?

“She doesn't have the impact Himari has.”
It’s not about "power," it’s about balance. Himari’s voice is
amazing, but it’s loud. In the Season 8 tracks, she was
constantly overpowering Nana and Sulli. IU’s voice is like
silk—it blends perfectly with the Duchess concept. She’s the
"Main Vocal" because she actually fits the group harmony. Himari
works much better as the "Center/Dancer" anyway; her stage
presence is too big to be stuck behind a mic stand.

Technically speaking, Himari has the better "belting" technique,
but her high notes can be a bit piercing for the "Dreamy/Pop"
concept Duchess is going for. IU’s tone is more
"radio-friendly."
However, calling Himari a "Main Dancer" is a slap in the face.
Did you see her in the Paparazzi cover? She is the vocal
standard. I think the producers are just scared she’ll have
another health collapse if they give her all the high notes
again. They’re "protecting" her by giving them to IU.

I’m a Gen 2 stan, so I’ll always side with Himari, but let’s be
honest—she looks incredible as a dancer. Her lines are so sharp
now. Maybe the hiatus gave her time to focus on her movement? If
IU takes the vocals and Himari takes the "Killing Part" and the
dance break, the group is unstoppable. Why do we have to choose?

[DEBATE] The "Overpowering" Problem.
I watched the live broadcast yesterday and when Himari hit that
G5, you couldn’t even hear the backing track. It was iconic
but... yeah, it was "too much." Duchess is supposed to be a
7-member group, not "Himari and her backup singers." I love her,
but the new arrangement where IU handles the bridge and Himari
handles the dance center feels more professional.
