What a fucking bore. Vince's thoughts flowed through him after
his performance. "What was that audience! They must have been
ree-wait."
He checks his watch...yeah it was 5AM. "Oh for- no wonder half
of them were trying not to nap! He says out loud in front of the
club.

It’s 5 AM. What am I doing wandering the city of Boston at
night?
Celebrating my new legs! That’s what. Or at least, that’s what
I’m about to do; I’m going to walk home and check in on Dad. The
show just got out and I really enjoyed it. Some of the folks in
the audience really shouldn’t have been out this late, or
drinking as much as they did, but me? I was front-and-center,
loving it.
I’m just walking down the front steps of the club’s
entrance/exit when I spy the performer.
Is it rude to interrupt?
Then I hear him talking out loud and I feel kinda bad for the
guy. He probably feels like he just bombed.
“Well I liked it,” I say as I walk up to him. “And that’s what
counts!”

“Lucy,” I say, offering my hand to shake his. “I wouldn’t worry
too much about the 5 AM crowd. They’re drunk before they start
drinking, two drink minimum knocks them right out,” I say with a
smile.

occurs to me that many of them probably do have to get up and
work in three hours.

he looks to Lucy and asks.

arrangements to look after my father while I was out of
commission,” I explain.
