She made okay money doing IT work for people and it allowed her
to work from home between college classes, but sometimes she
just needed a little extra cash to help pay for things like
rent, food, or spiffed up computer parts.
That need for extra cash was what had brought her to this place
for a sleep study. She had no idea what happened during a sleep
study, but since it was one she could well, sleep through it
didn't sound like it would be too hard. Sher was dressed in
comfy clothing which consisted of an oversized tee shirt with
Happy Bunny making a face and the words " it is not fair to you
how cool I am' and fuzzy PJ pants with little penguins on them.
She was standing just inside the room which looked a lot,
uncomfortably a lot like a hospital room. She had a backpack
over one shoulder and her cellphone in her hand as she looked
around.

Dressed in scrubs and a long lab coat, Vincent came into the
room chart in hand. "Miss Mason? Nice to meet you. I'm Dr.
Bailey." He offered his hand to shake, and withdrew it after a
gentle shake. He wasn't cold- the temps and lighting would play
havoc for a kindred who didn't Blush.
He gave a charming smile, then flipped some pages on the chart.
"Did the nurse go over what is expected of you tonight? Do you
have someone coming to pick you up in the morning?" He began,
looking at her for answers before continuing further.

Hearing someone behind her she turned around only to come face
to face with the hottest doctor she had ever had the pleasure of
seeing. Totally not fair.
When he held out his hand she tucked her phone away and reached
out to shake his hand her grip firm and confidant. "Hello Dr.
Bailey." She smiled at him. "No she just showed me tot he room
and asked me to get comfortable saying that she would be back in
a moment." She tilted her head tot he side and smiled a bit. "I
don't do i need to. I mean if it is really needed i can call an
Uber and pick up my car later."

"Ah. I guess she got distracted." When it cane to her ride home,
he shook his head. "We don't give you drugs or anything, so it
shouldn't be needed. Still, we are supposed to suggest it to all
subjects."
"This is a REM sleep study, so we will have to hook you up to a
machine. A couple machines, actually. Is your sleep easily
disturbed? Are you a roller?" He raised an eyebrow.
Then he looped at the chart again. "How old are you? Twenty-one.
Good. Just on the edge of qualification."

"Maybe, place seems a little chaotic, so it wouldn't surprise me
if she did." She nodded her head when he said that wouldn't be
giving her drugs or anything. "Okay, no problem then."
She wrinkled her nose a little when he mentioned that she was
going to be hooks up to a couple of machines. "Well that sounds
completely uncomfortable." She laughed softly.
"I roll like a rotisserie chicken unfortunately. Actually that's
part of what interested me about the sleep study. I have been
having a little trouble sleeping and hoped this might be able to
help."
"Yeah twenty-one. I will be twenty-two next month, right before
Christmas."
Like he really needed that much information, ugh.
"Can i ask you a personal question Dr. Bailey?"

"Probably did." He agreed about the nurse, then moved on. "When
she gets here, we can hook you up. Or she will, and I'll leave
if you prefer. Some of the stickers attach to your chest." He
explained.
He gave her a funny look when she said she rolled like a
rotisserie chicken, then chuckled softly. "I see. Well, once our
data comes back, we can give you a call or email you a link to
our portal where you can see your results. Hopefully we might
find out why your sleep is being disturbed."
He didn't comment about her age.
She clearly caught him off guard when she asked to ask a
personal question. "Sure. Why not." He waited.

"I am wearing a bra so it is all good. You can go or stay as you
prefer. I mean you aren't going to see anything you wouldn't see
if i was wearing a bikini and you have probably seen it before."
She shrugged.
She smiled at him when he gave her a funny look at her comment
and shrugged. "Cool. I hope we can find a reason for it too. "
She knew part of what it was, nightmares about her fathers
death, but that wasn't all of it, and she wanted to find out
what other reasons there could be.
"How old are you? you like too young to me a doctor. I mean if
someone ask me how old you were i would say like thirty at
most." That was waaaaay better then asking him if he was single
which had been the first thought that popped into her head. She
did look subtly for a wedding band.

He chuckled almost nervously. "Yes, I doubt there'd be any
surprises." He almost mumbles.
He blinked at her slowly when she asked his age. Letting her
ramble a bit, he then held up his hand and shook his head.
"Thirty? I'm flattered. I'm actually forty-five. I hope you
won't let the fact I'm old enough to be your father keep you
from sleeping in my bed." He actually smirked and gave her a
smoldering look that she might miss it was gone so fast, and
gestured to the bed behind her.
"Now, do you live alone? Do you have pets? These factors could
be affecting your sleeping."

She stopped rambling when he held up his hand and just looked at
him blinking slowly when he said he was actually forty-five. It
was what he said next though that caused her to laugh and blush
brightly. "Not at all."
She smirked and turned toward the bed, setting her backpack down
on the end, and her phone on the small table before sitting down
on the bed herself, folding her lets tailor style.
"I live alone yeah, no pets though i have been thinking about
getting a dog."

He smiled a little more warmly. "I'm glad you took that as the
joke it was intended to be."
As she was settling her things down, the nurse came in,
surprised to see him. "It's fine, Linda," he said, "I'll ask my
question while you attach her." He gestured for Camrynto lay
down and get comfortable, then he focused on his clipboard while
the nurse began to put sticky pathces on varous points of her
head, chest, and torso.
"Ok. Dogs help some people, hurt with others. Comes down to
which dog, which person," he opined. "Do you play on your phone
as you lie in bed?"
