       I take a seat.
       “Yeah. When I discovered I could choose my form, I just started
       to spend SO MUCH time as a girl. Something I never could do
       before the Change, right?”
       I feel so awkward, suddenly. Like… you know who never has to
       have conversations about revealing their gender to someone? Most
       folks. It’s not a regular every-day conversation, so it feels
       heavy.
       She’s not bothered by my shirtlessness -- which I choose to take
       as casual familiarity, and not her thinking I’m hot.
       I shift in my seat, a little. “Maybe. Looks like I have more to
       thank Her for than I originally knew,” I say.
       “Thanks. For,  uh.”
       Hm. Okay. Rahu time. Brave and bold and out-with-it-already.
       “Thanks for not being a fucking ‘phobe about it.”

       When he sat down she turned a bit so that she was facing him.
       "Do you like being a girl better then being a boy?" There was no
       malice in her voice just curiosity. "I have thought about
       learning that gift myself, but never have. I usually end up
       distracting myself by learning rites."
       "Rites are a different for of magic then gifts. They let me do
       thing like summon and bind spirits." She could tell that he was
       feeling a bit awkward, and was trying to just act normal, and
       like this wasn't that big a deal.  The the scheme of being a
       werewolf it wasn't really.
       She smiled at him when he thanked her, and shook her head. " I
       understand that some others might be distressed by it, but it
       doesn't bother me, honest."

       “I guess? Sometimes,” I say. “Depends on the day. I think
       girl-mode is just so new it’s still shiny. I don’t want to
       abandon being a boy totally,” I explain. And it feels kinda good
       to get it off my chest.
       It dawns on me that it’s been a month since I’ve had anyone to
       talk to. Boston scooped me up after I woke up from my first
       change, and that was kind of it…
       She seems to be taking it well. I don’t know what I was afraid
       of, really. I guess the threshold for what’s considered weird
       has moved drastically back, considering I’m a werewolf who hunts
       spirits…
       “Cool,” I say when she says she’s not bothered by it. “That’s a
       big relief. Dunno if this whole pack thing would work out if it
       did bother you,” I say with a nervous chuckle.
       I stand up.
       “I’mma hit the sack,” I say. “In a real bed. With sheets. Thank
       you again,” I say.

       "I can understand it being shiny and new. Plus, in my brain it
       sort of makes sense that you would latch onto a new form with
       something as traumatic as a first change happening. "She smiled
       a little. "I am no psychologist or anything, so i could be
       wrong."
       She laughed a bit. " it would have been really hard to start a
       pack, yeah." She smiled at him. "Have a good night Max. I have a
       dream-date with a strnage mage, so i will see you in the
       morning."
