[center]Those who serve in the Northlands of Gor are, generally,
captives from the Southern realms. They are given a single
chance at life when the Jarl draws a circle in the sand or dirt.
To enter begins ones journey to being a bond-maid. The sole
focus of a bond-maids life is to be pleasing and serve the Jarls
in the ways of the North.
Do not wait to be asked to serve, or to "offer" to serve. Leap
to your feet when a Jarl enters, run to the fires to fetch the
paga pitcher. Then you ask it He is thirsty. Offer mead if He
asks for something other than paga. The Lodges of the North are
not taverns or Inns. They are Homes. Under the rule of a Jarl.
In Torvaldsland one of the highest points of Honor is
hospitality. The land is harsh, guests are welcomed and treated
well. It is a bond-maid's duty to be the essence of this
hospitality.
Bond-maids do not sit still. After serving they roam the tables
looking to refill the horns and plates of the Jarls. They sit
with the Jarls at the tables, talking and entertaining. Their
pleasure and enjoyment is a direct reflection of the Jarl of the
Lodge. Do not fail Him!
Bond-maids wear kirtles. It is an ankle length garment made from
the wool of the hurt. Woven or pressed in to a felt-like fabric.
It has a deep V-cut neckline plunging to a girl's naval. It is
sleeveless. It is worn when travelling or working outside. In
the Lodge a bond-maid wears nothing. She serves naked, using
this to please the Jarls.
If a girl is restricted from furring with others she can use
simple touches, pressing against the Jarls while pouring, soft
whispers and gentle laughs to entice and tantalize Them. When
she serves it is in the way of the North. Her focus is on
getting food and drink to the Jarl as quickly as possible while
still being pleasing and enticing in her actions. She is allowed
to speak while serving to further entertain and please the
Jarl(s), bonds are not expected to be silent like silkies when
serving, they are to chatter to all, and be the vivid abundant
creature owned in the North and no less.[/center]
