       All this makes it very necessary to find alternatives to favor
       transplants. Well, in this scenario, a team of scientists from
       the University of Newcastle has found a method that opens up a
       range of possibilities. His work has consisted of exploring the
       bioprinting of the cornea through a process of pneumatic
       extrusion. The objective was to generate artificial corneas,
       with a biological basis, that could be implanted in patients.
       To do this, they created a material combining human cornea cells
       with alginate and collagen. Thus, the researchers have achieved
