The Cricketeer: rocket boost implants in lower legs allow
proportional leaping distances of a cricket ... sonic chirp
Bullfrog Bob: proportional ability to jump like a bullfrog ...
ballistic tongue projection
Jolt Joe: can emit taser level electro shocks from hands ...
limited range, pulse or continuous
Madam Ventril - failed theatre actress ... can throw her voice
and mimic voices in limited capacity
Muddsy - can loosely shapeshift to somewhat look like inanimate
objects
Gadgetina - has mr gadget like body ... can use only two things
at once and it drastically limits effectiveness of each if she
does
Boyzilla - can transform into a kaijue with all the power of
Godzilla ... in 6" plushie form

ADVENTURES
Demon Kitty (Scepton's demon pets running amok. Just needs help
with the demon kitty in the tree)
Techno Toad (super fan of techno toad trying to sell shop his
techno toad stuff, working equipment, gets toasted - post
pubescent warrior salamander rip off from 90s)
Not So Haunted House (Illusionaire bored in house doing his own
puppet shows, call from worried neighbors)
Security Detail (hired by Bossioso the main mafia boss in town.
Security detail for a deal ... oh heck no, turn tail run and
leave note "pro bono")
Fiasco on the Farm (parts of veggie crops destroyed ... ends up
pig pen was left open)
Night of the Rats (eating at rest, rats invade ... Rattatour
called upset rest won't let his rats eat freely)
Moving Day (villian hires squad to help move out of lair ...
traps, etc)
Double Blind Date (two villains hire two of the heroes to be
dates and end up going to same place ... villains are exes doing
the rebound thing)
Fan Club Stand In (hires hero to pose as them at fan club
meeting ... boo'd, tomatoed, etc ... what, they hate me)
Villain Vacation (hires hero to do their villainry while they're
away)
Master Chef (villain hires hero to teach them to cook)
Tour Guide (villain hires hero to give them tour of downtown's
hot spots, takes notes/etc ... hero realizes at end, other heros
give him the business)
Neutral Ground (heroes hired as mediators for villain dispute
... all get hot and bothered)

On the way back to their hotel after a long day at COMICPALOOZA
a group of Cosplaying friends is mistaken for the real deal by a
young kid scared out of his wits. He got separated from his
parents and now finds himself lost, alone and afraid.
Unbeknownst to the group of friends, their choice to help the
young kid will lead them down a path involving REAL super heroes
and a plot to use them for villainy!

Panel 1
Zoomed out shot of a strip mall laundromat. There are apartments
above it. Hung across the top of one of the apartments is a hand
painted banner that reads "HSHQ."
Panel 2
Zoom into window of the HSHQ apartment where a tv/vcr combo
(think the old disney types) is playing the news. Looking
past/through a couple of memebers of the Hero Squad (Cricketeer
and Madam Ventril) the screen shows a live shot of 'Scepton the
Terrible' outside his home with household pets all over the
place.
CAPTION: ... and as you can see his pets are running amok
everywhere.
Panel 3
The tv screen is mostly in view and the image from the news
shows the pets terrorizing people.
CAPTION: Local authorities have attempted to help but currently
the situation remains unresolved.
SFX (FROM OFF SCREEN): BRIIIING BRIIIIING

Panel 1
Madam Ventril has picked up the phone and looks delighted as if
she's speaking to someone in person. The Cricketeer is still
watching the news paying no mind to the phone.
MADAM VENTRIL: "You've reached the Hero Squad where no villain
is too big and no problem is too small! Thank you for reaching
out for hero help, how can I direct your call?"
CRICKETEER: "HAHAHAHA you believe this guy? He's supposed to be
some big shot demon controlling overloard or something. He can't
even wrangle his pets."
Panel 2
Madam Ventril is leaning over Cricketeer's shoulder speaking to
him. Cricketeer has a happily shocked look on his face.
MADAM VENTRIL: "Laugh it up big boy, we just got a job."
Panel 3
Close up of a very giddy Cricketeer.
CRICKETEER: "Really?! What is it?!
Panel 4
Madam Ventril is pointing to the newscast on the tv. Cricketeer
looks dejected.
MADAM VENTRIL: "You're looking at it."

Splash page of Scepton's mansion with all the pets running amok.
Various 'demon' magic swirls and pets messing with and/or
fussing people/plants. Small inset panel of the HS looking at
the scene from the sidewalk (Cricketeer, Gadgetina, Bullfrog

SFX: Various pet noises and yells of the chaos at the scene
CRICKETEER (IN INSET PANEL): "You've got to be friggin kidding
me."

Cricketeer is confronting Scepton the Terrible. Cricketeer is
questioning him in a vexed/perplexed manner. Scepton is almost
paying him no mind as he answers.
Panel 1
Scepton's back is turned to Cricketeer who is questioning him.
CRICKETEER: "You hired us to round up your pets? SERIOUSLY
SCEPTON?!!!"
Panel 2
Scepton doesn't turn around but instead just starts laughing,
guffawing even.
SCEPTON: "BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!"

Scepton turns to Cricketeer with an evil smirk. He's pointing at
something.
SCEPTON: "No no no dear Cricketeer. I haven't called you to
wrangle all of my pets. Just the one, there in the tree."

Two panel page. Panel 1 takes up most of the page.
Panel 1
Semi-close up of a cute, innocent looking kitty sitting on a
tree branch. It is looking at Scepton and Cricketeer as if it
knows they are talking about it.
SFX: MROW
Panel 2
Cricketeer is looking dumbfounded and questions Scepton once
again. Scepton has the evil smirk on his face.
CRICKETEER: "You friggin called us ... to get ... your KITTY
OUT OF A TREE?!!!"

Full splash page. Kitty reveals its true demon self. Have fun
with the creativity here! My initial thought was like the kitty
in the CPT Marvel movie in terms of how the true form is shown,
but this is all up to you!
SFX: MROOOOOOAAAAAAAR

Page has full splash panel as background. It is Scepton throwing
his hands up not understanding what the big deal is as the HS
huddles up. The detailed panels are individual shots of the HS
set over the larger scene.

JOLT JOE: "I ain't touching that thing dude."

GADGETINA: " ... getting the ..."
CRICKETEER: "... we're getting the kitty out of the tree."

Wasting no time Gadgetina jumps into action.
Panel 1
Gadgetina uses her built in stilt legs to shoot herself up to
the height of the limb the kitty is on. She's also produced a
net from a slot on her arm and is reaching out towards the
kitty.
SFX: SPROOOING
GADGETINA: "GOTCHA!"
Panel 2
Unfussed, the kitty uses its claws to tear through the net.
SFX: SLICE
Panel 3
Still unfussed the kitty uses its tail to cinch Gadgetina's
stilted legs together.
GADGETINA: "GAAAAAH!"
Panel 4
Gadgetina crashes to the ground.
Page 9
Jolt Joe springs into action.
Panel 1
Joe shoots his tasers at the cat, hitting it. The cat is shocked
and annoyed all to hell.
SFX: FZZZHH
SFX (KITTY): REEAAAR
Panel 2
The kitty shoots its own tasers out of its eyes hitting Joe. Joe
is shocked/burned (cartoon like) from the hit.
SFX: SCHZZZZZZ
Panel 3
Joe is standing like Tom from Tom and Jerry after a bomb goes
off in his face.

Bullfrog Bob tries his luck. In the background the Cricketeer
uses the distraction and leaps to a branch just above the kitty.
Panel 1
Bullfrog Bob leaps at the kitty with his tongue out as if to
punch the kitty out of the tree.
SFX: THPT
Panel 2
The kitty opens up a small portal over Bob's tongue.
Panel 3
The portal has sent the projectile end of Bob's tongue direclty
behind his head and it smacks him silly.
SFX: SMACK
Panel 4
Bob hits the ground knocked silly.
Page 11
Cricketeer is looming over the kitty who is oblivious to his
presence. The second panel is bigger than the others to reflect
the action of the panel. Panels on this page are loose, so no
issues messing with the page structure to best make the sequence
work.
Panel 1
Cricketeer is hitting his legs together like a cricket does to
chirp.
CRICKETEER: "SONIC CHIRP"
SFX: CHIIIIIIIIIIIIRP
Panel 2
The kitty is surprised and caught off guard. It is
scared/startled and looks all out of whack. Windows of Scepton's
mansion are breaking and car alarms from cars parked along the
street are going off.
SFX (KITTY): MRAARRAAAOOOOWWWW
SFX (OFF PANEL CAR ALARMS): Bwoooouuup ... MEH MEH MEH ....
eewoo eewoo
Panel 3
Scepton and the other heroes in the HS are all covering their
ears and grimacing at the sound.
Panel 4
The kitty falls off the limb it was on into a pile of leaves.
Panel 5
Scepton is leaning over the kitty reaching out to it while still
covering one ear with the other hand.
SCEPTON: "My precious demon kitty, are you ok my little buddy?"

No specific panel structure. Just specific points of action for
the story so panel count is just an action outline here.
Panel 1
Cricketeer is standing over/bending down to Scepton who is
cuddling the kitty. He is reaching out with a piece of paper
that reads "invoice."
CRICKETEER: "The invoice for the job reflecting the FIVE TIMES
rate agreed upon."
Panel 2
Scepton holding the invoice in one hand while still coddling the
kitty. He watches one last piece of glass fall out of one of his
windows.
SFX: TNK CSH (or if you've got something better)
Panel 3
Scepton looking up at Cricketeer bewildered that he'd still be
charged for the service.
Panel 4
Cricketeer with a cheeseball grin and giving an equally cheezy
thumbs up.
CRICKETEER: "Thanks for giving Hero Squad a call!"
