       Despite the height and stature of the kingdom ... basic human
       desires ruled.  Debauchery, bad deeds, guilty pleasures etc ...
       it was all too accepted and all too glorified. One of the worst
       outlets was the Gauntlet. The ancient battle form of "allowing"
       the lowliest and least privileged a "way" to "earn" their way
       among the elite. Survive long enough and obtain a certain level
       of social status and freedoms. Win enough and climb the ladder
       higher. Make it to the end and come out alive, everything is
       yours.

       The RED HANDS (largest kingdom outside of the one ... labeled
       red hands due to the "stain" of blood from constant warring,
       horrible experimenting, etc)
       A Red Hand is in the cellars with the others and helps get them
       upward through "ways" they've figured out due to their approach
       to life/etc
