Curiosity killed the cat ....
As a species we've always been curious. Does life exist beyond
the stars? Science has always pondered that question but never
prepared for an answer ...
New World 2020 was the name of the project. It was a grand
reveal to usher in the end of the biggest con the world had ever
seen. The "Cold War" was a front, a distraction, a lie ... a
simultaneous gaslighting of the world by the two super powers.
It began in 1980 as both the United States and U.S.S.R. looked
upward into the night sky to try and solve the issues down on
Earth. The two countries where the only remaining super-powers
that managed to emerge from the "old" world. Fusion
technologies, nuclear proliferation, and the advancement of
white matter understanding thrust mankind forward dramatically.
On the surface the two were at odds and on the brink of a third
world war. Underneath was teh biggest co-operative in the
history of mankind. "Stolen" technology and plans, "captured"
spies and intelligence was just the front for the constant
collaboration and idea exchange. In the mid 90s it all came to a
head when the two countries"shocked" the world by coming to a
"truce" and launched a joint venture to establish a
"semi-permanent" colony on the moon. It would primarily be a
scientific outpost (eyes in the sky, early warning, advanced
research) but would also incorporate an experimental living
colony of roughly 100 people outside of the 40 member scientific
crew. The building stage would take an estimated 5yrs (begun in
1990 to the knolwedge of nobody but the US and USSR) and
actually finished a year early. After taking the time to
quadruple check everything the scientific team went up in
November of 1994, and the colony went up on January 1, 1995.
The V1F7 Colony seemed so promising ...
... but that all changed with a distress signal to mission
control at NASA. 10yr old twins Zachory and Emily Mallor were
in the "greenhouse" of the living colony begging for someone to
come help. Something was wrong, terribly wrong. The scientists
had "gone crazy" and half of the living colony were starting to
do the same. People were just opening and walking out of the
airlocks, collapsing and seizing, and one individual was seen
butchering and eating another. Everything was wrong and they
needed help. By the time help got there (week later) 27 people
were still alive. 18 children, 6 adults from the living colony,
and 3 scientists were all that remained of the 140 people sent.
Immediately theories and blame were shot out in every direction.
The USA sought truth and the U.S.S.R. sought retribution. Of
the 27 left alive only 6 were from the Soviet contingent.
"Clearly" the US did something. "Clearly" it was sabotage in an
attempt to ruin the U.S.S.R. in the world view. The Soviets
withdrew all partnerships and vowed the truth would indeed come
out, and that retribution would be had. That "Cold War" that
had been fronted was now a reality. China, Canada, the UK,
Germany, India, South Korea, and Japan (Joint Space Coalition)
were all involved in launching exploratory and investigative
missions to determine not only what happened, but why it
happened. The JSC needed to find answers and fast. A third
world war was now no longer a paper idea/threat. It was an
overbearing reality.
The US and Russia continued their own separate investigations
(though the US did work with the JSC) into the events but also
continued their efforts to colonize the moon. Things only got
worse as isolated incidents on Earth started to mimic the events
that had transpired on the moon. The unexplained was spreading,
slowly but steadily.

**Whatever "it" is came back with the survivors. The IRL Covid
pandemic will be used as the finding out about and reveal of the
"thing" to the general masses. It had adapted enough to lash out
but not evolved enough to kill us off. But now our planet was
infected and the clock has started ticking
**Cold War of the 50s 60s 70s 80s was a facade. USSR/USA
collaborative effort under the surface.
**Think 'The Thing' in terms of the "what" except there's no
REAL physical manifestation (original thought) as seen in the
movie. The "it" causing the issues with the humans is
"something" existing out in space. It is the underlying reason
(to be found eventually by scientists in the story) that there
is no life anywhere else in our solar system. Earth just
happens to be in that 'magical' zone where it doesn't like to
be. The "green zone" that Earth sits in is the one type of
habitat the "thing" avoids. That's why "fossils" and traces of
what we know as life or life giving elements are found
throughout our solar system ... the "thing" chased life
throughout the stars but Earth sits in a magical zone
**The zone Earth sits in is the key to unlocking the way for
humankind to explore, advance outward into the Universe. These
findings and understandings feed the "race" on Earth
