       Starwish Chronicles

Eventually get them all done under "STARWISH CHRONICLES"
       Rapunzel:
Upload relay station houses coms conduit for robotronic race.
Relay unit (gold connecting units/tubes) questions mainframe
directions wanting more than to be just a relay for their
knowledge. Last gasp effort by humans (small squad) storms
station but is met with surprising aid from com conduit as it
pulls out golden tubes so humans can climb up. Some kind of
"forward together" resolution after knocking out mainframe
       Han/Gret:
The two are cybernetic bounty hunters being used as puppets by
their boss. Not fooled by the big payouts they realize they're
being used to take out their boss' comp. This mission though
they set up and eliminate their boss
       3 Pigs:
Three surviving crew members of moon base shield generator. They
have a plan to stop an invasion. Three stages of shield ...
first two are like first two pigs/shields break and they are
killed. 3rd holds and vaporizes invading force
       Ugly Duckinling:
Old worn out starfighter outclasses newest models in
interstellar battle and becomes envy of the fleet upon returning
       to base

Story for H/G changed as I workshopped the idea. My panel
thoughts are just that. It's just how my brain organizes the
       ideas.
Would we need a letterer for the team?
As always, input and ideas from your end are absolutely welcome.
And if anything doesn't come across or doesn't make sense lemme
       know!

       HAN/GRET
LOG: "Needing a new source of energy two cybernautic humans find
themselves caught in a power sapping trap”
       SUMMARY:
In a futuristic world, two characters, Hansel and Gretel (H/G),
debate whether to raid an energy tower, despite warnings about
their motherboard’s limitations. They decide to proceed and find
numerous energy sources inside the tower. A holographic entity
welcomes them and invites them to consume energy freely.
Upon plugging in, one of them senses something amiss as the
energy starts flowing, realizing that the entity is siphoning
their energy. Despite their distress and attempts to unplug,
they find themselves trapped. In a moment of panic, they
conceive a plan to overload the conduit panels by pushing energy
       into them.
Their plan works, causing the conduit panels to crash and
allowing them to unplug. As they escape, the entire tower fries.
Exhausted, they sit outside, reflecting on the number of
unfortunate individuals who might have fallen prey to the
       energy-leeching entity.
       P1:
Thinking 3-4 panels ... one is halfish page. Large pulsating
tower(?) in center of cybertron-esque city.
Other two is dialogue between H/G. One states they should raid
the tower for energy source while other spins the warning about
it/states that their motherboard cannot sustain them and left
them to fend ... they decide to go
       P2:
       Thinking 4-5 panels
The two enter and see several conduits and ways to plug into
sources. Big holographic entity pops up in middle of area and
greets them explaining they're free to plug in and consume as
       they desire.
They plug in ... one of H/G feels off after energy starts
flowing. Discovers the entity is energy leeching
       P3:
       Thinking 4 panels
Warning - distress - trying to unplug
       No luck - panic
       Idea - overload conduit panels
       Push energy into conduits
       P4:
Not sure on panels here ...
       Conduit panels crash
       They unplug
whole tower fries as they run out
The two sit catching their breath pondering how many poor souls
       had been devoured
       UGLY DUCKLING
LOG: "From star-rust to star-shine, that which was dismissed
proves to be the key to victory in humanity's last ditch effort
       for survival."
SUMMARY: In the end stage of an interstellar war, a human space
fleet battles against a formidable robotronic species. Within
the human fleet, one ship stands out as it appears inferior to
even the human forces. Despite its worn-out appearance this
“lesser” ship manages to inflict significant damage on the
robotronic fleet and wins the war for humanity.
No panel thoughts on this one yet as I'm still somewhat trying
to find the right breaks/pacing for the pages ... maybe bigger
panels of action with smaller panels of "current" dialogue
       between admiral and pilots?
       P1:
Battle establishing shot with human space fleet engaged in war
with robotronic species. One ship is obviously "lesser" than the
       rest
Captioned dialogue questioning what happened - captioned
       dialogue answering "don't know"
Show the "lesser" ship taking out large chunks of the robotronic
       fleet
       P2:
Captioned dialogue talking about somehow this outdated beaten
down underpowered ship led the charge to win the battle. This
ship that you say didn't belong in the fight ...
Human fleet is being destroyed but the "lesser ship" is doing
just as much damage to the robotronic species
Shot of remaining human fleet (very few and including the lesser
ship) up against still formidable robotronic force
       P3:
       Thinking 3 panels
Captioned dialogue - ... stood up and stood in front of all of
you that derided it. It led the charge and transformed one last
       hope into reality.
       Lesser ship charges robotronic fleet
       Lesser ship has a "transformation"
       P4:
       One shot?
Captioned dialogue - While all of you have presented as ugly
examples, thankfully we still have a beautiful example of
humanity is capable of (or something like that)
Lesser ship on deck of last remaining large fleet ship of
humanity. An admiral peering out window admiring it

       ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
       PAGE ONE (4 panels)
       Panel 1:
This panel takes up roughly half the page. Zoomed out shot of a
neon, cyberpunk type city. In the center there is a large
pulsating tower. The glow from the tower is cast across the
       cityscape.
       SFX: zzzwooom - zzzwooom
       Panel 2:
Close in on base of tower. Kneeling there are cybernetic
versions of Hansel and Gretel. Wires, circuitry and metal are
intertwined with their previously human bodies.
Hansel: "This is too good to pass up."
Panel 3: Gretel looking at Hansel, she's cautious but
       understanding.
Gretel: "Motherboard cannot sustain us any longer, but our
       morsel bytes ..."
Panel 4: Hansel looking at Gretel, imploring her to agree
Hansel: "... are GONE. We have no other choice."
       PAGE TWO (5 panels)
Panel 1: Inside the tower H/G find a complex network seemingly
stretching forever. There are conduits and plug ins everywhere.
       SFX: wumwumwumwum
Panel 2: In the center of the infinite network a holographic
entity materializes. It looks welcoming enough.
Entity: "Come, plug in. You are free to consume as you desire."
Panel 3: There is concern on Gretel's face. Hansel is urging her
       on.
Panel 4: Hansel and Gretel plug in to a conduit. She knows
something is wrong. Hansel is wearing the look of shock.
       SFX: bzwip
Panel 5: Their energy is being drained from them and both are in
       a state of panic.
       SFX: zuuum
Gretel: "UNPLUG! UNPLUG NOW! IT'S DRAINING US!"
       PAGE THREE (5 panels)
Panel 1: Urgently Hansel and Gretel try to unplug. The energy
       drain intensifies.
       SFX: zuuumumumumu
Panel 2: Struggling hard they wear the expression of
       desperation.
Hansel: "Ca ... can't break free."
Panel 3: A realization comes over Gretel. She knows what to do.
Gretel: "We need to overload the conduit panels. Push all of
your energy into the flow as fast as you can!"
Panel 4: Both H/G concentrate the flow of their energy and push
it all at once into the conduits they're plugged into.
       SFX: kzk kzzzk
Panel 5: The conduits begin smoking and crackling as H/G pour
every ounce of energy they have left ouf of their cybernetic
       bodies.
       SFX: kzaak kzzzwaaak
       PAGE FOUR (4 panels)
Panel 1: H/G realize they have one chance to unplug before the
overload. The conduits are pulsing more now.
They manage to unplug just in time, their escape as narrow as it
       is dramatic.
Panel 2: The conduits are overloaded and explode in a blast of
energy that engulfs Hansel and Gretel.
       SFX: kzzwaaka-BOOM
Panel 3: The whole tower fries as they run out, leaving a trail
of sparks behind them, a testament to their daring escape.
Panel 4: Outside, they sit catching their breath. They ponder
how many poor souls had been devoured by the tower. “We were
lucky,” Gretel says, “But how many weren’t?” Their words hang in
the air, a somber reminder of their harrowing experience.
