Hi! And thank you for reading our team post! :)
I am the captain of team Jiggly Bits. We are one of two
explicitly sex-positive Hood to Coast teams (that I know of). We
first formed a team last year, and we were lucky enough to be
picked from the lottery to participate again this year.
Allow me explain briefly what it means to be sex-positive. It
means we welcome all sexual orientations and gender identities.
And we have a positive, open attitude toward sex itself. That
said, we also emphasize consent, boundaries, and feelings of
safety and support, and we try our best to practice that in how
we communicate and interact. Some, but not all, of us also
practice ethical nonmonogamy. I myself have discovered that the
lessons I have learned from the sex-positive community apply
well to many other (ie, not strictly sexual) aspects of life.
