My name is Jakob, and I'm a Portland runner and high school
teacher in my 20s. I would love to join a team of fun runners! I
run four times a week, currently training for the Shamrock half
marathon. My average pace is 9:15, getting a total of around 15
miles in each week. This will be my first HTC, but I'm ready to
learn! Please hit me up and let's connect!

I'm not sure if you still need anyone. I am F26, and this would
be my first HTC, but I train for ultras and am running one in
two weeks! Currently anywhere from 8:30-9:30 pace

Do you have your team yet?
I am 66yo, ran HtC once, roughly half my lifetime ago (1992),
and would like to give it one more noncompetitive go. Currently
training at between 9 and 9:30 pace.

Update from previous post:
37F from Portland, OR. I am not someone that has done this
before. I am a fairly fast runner and also new to the sport. I
have a sub 2 hour half marathon without being fatigued at the
end. I have a sub 6:00 pace for my casual treadmill 5k and a
casual 7:15 for my road 5k. I have a 7:35 now for my 10k casual
road pace. I tend to be relaxed and not someone that likes to
push it. I am someone that has negative splits because they have
fun. Sometimes my negative splits are over a minute when I hit
my stride (dad joke). I don't tend to hit that till after 2-3
miles. I would prefer not to run at night due to my ADHD meds
and not being able to double up on those. If the legs are 7-8
miles a piece during the day back to back, I can totally do that
in a straight shot. If someone needs someone to cover the hard
or longer legs, I can do those too if they are in the daytime.
I'm training for my first marathon on October 5th. I run about
6-7 miles daily (if not more) during my lunch breaks. So far in
my road races, my casual pace usually puts me first in my
division and often in the top 5-10 overall place regardless of
division. I'm not competitive. I would rather enjoy the run
instead of feel like I'm about to die. I am a neutral
mid-striker with a lactic threshold of a 7:40 pace. After a full
rupture non-surgical recovery from torn Achilles, within 40 days
out of the boot, I had my first road 5k with a 24:15. I do have
food restrictions fyi. I plan on bringing my own food as a
result. If you have any questions, please let me know!

Hi! If you're still looking for a runner, I’d love to be
considered. I'm a 39-year-old male hoping to run Hood to Coast
for the first time before I turn 40 in September—it’s been a
long time goal and I’m excited to finally make it happen!
I’m not looking to compete—just want to enjoy the experience, be
a solid teammate, and have some fun along the way. My pace is
usually in the 8–9 min/mile range, depending on terrain and
caffeine levels. Hoping to find a team that’s in it for the
adventure and good vibes.
Let me know if you’ve still got room—would love to connect!
-Nate
