Female 27 year old Californian: Looking for a fun, potentially
speedy team

Hi all,
I'm a 27 year old female runner who is interested in joining the
Hood to Coast relay. I have an irreverant/sarcastic sense of
humor, freckles, and a penchant for running in short-shorts and
pigtails.
I'd be looking to fill in. I have a race pace of 6:30-7:50
min/mile, flat 5ks through marathons. I'm currently training on
elevation trail runs in prep for a 50k. You can find me on
strava under Sarah Staatz.
I will need to buy a flight to Oregon from CA, so I'd need to
know sooner than later. Ideally the race cost would be covered
up or up to $100 asked.

Hi Sarah,
We have a slot in our team for you. We will only be charging for
a van rental gas and other expenses during race. I am waiving
the registration free of about ~$150. Let me know if you are
interested.

We are a co-ed team of young professionals, who run 6-11
min./mile pace,
This is our 2nd year doing hood to coast..we would be splitting
the costs and for you it would just be the van/gas ~$100..let me

Hi Sarah,
Are you still looking for a team? If so, we'd love to have you.
Our team, Where the Wild Things Run, is made up of a mix of
runners (mostly Nike employees) from PDX, NYC, Boston, and
Dallas. We'd love to add CA to the mix :)
Last year our team finished 8th place in our division and 69th
overall (out of 1000+ teams!). We have a mix of paces ranging
from casual (me: 9:15/m pace) to speedy (5:10/m pace). Everyone
is super laid back and just wants to have a good time.
You'd have Leg 7, which is a fun one because you hand off at the
major exchange so you'd get both vans out there cheering for
you. The cost is completely covered -- all you'd have to do is
get yourself here. We also have access to the Nike afterparty
on the beach which is a great time.
