ACCEPTED - Lwapo - Holy Priest Applicant
DIR By: Lwapo
Date: September 24, 2016, 12:00 am
---------------------------------------------------------
What is your Battletag?:
Lwapo#1356 and/or Clandestine#1724
What is your contact email?:
jsteavens@yahoo.com
Can you make our set raid times? Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
6:30pm to 10:00pm (PST) / 9:30pm to 1:00am (EST):
Yes, this is one of several reasons that brought me to you.
Link all of your relevant character armories, including
characters you wish to main raid on and any alts.:
MAIN:
HTML http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/kelthuzad/Lwapo/simple
ALT:
HTML http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/kelthuzad/Elwapo/simple
Please link us your most recent warcraftlogs parses for your
characters you are looking to play. Please include as many as
you feel is necessary preferable several fights.:
I don't have a raid log yet (new xpac) and anything from WoD
would have me as Disc. If you are interested in me, I'm happy
to PUG a few fights in EN and get some log info for you.
What is your experience/confidence in playing alts and/or
offspecs in a mythic raid environment?:
As you can tell from my main/alt info above, I'm a priest healer
from top to bottom. I briefly raided on my warlock and
occasionally as shadow, but the bulk of my raiding exp is as a
healer. Even moreso in Mythic/Acheiv/Etc modes. That being
said, I'm always happy to do what the guild needs, even if that
means swapping to an OS/Alt.
Please provide us with a screenshot of your UI in raid combat
(LFR is Fine) and please tell us the addons that you use.:
HTML http://pasteboard.co/6OiYPmXQP.jpg
(Once again, no raid yet but I can snag a SS when I PUG EN (or
raid with you guys... /hint /hint). Since I use the ElvUI base
and fairly common addons, my setup isn't exactly groundbreaking,
but it's effective and that's what matters.
Going into legion, I revamped (and simplified my UI). Some of
the addons I was using in WoD had become cumbersome and
outdated. I swapped to ElvUI as it brings the bulk of what I
need to the table right out of the box. Then added in the
necessary raid tools as needed.
ElvUI
DBM
Exorsis Raid Tools
Weak Auras 2
Skada
RCLootCouncil (Old Guild's Loot System)
What external websites do you use to stay up to date with your
class mechanics and theorycrafting?:
The HowToPriest.Com discord is fantastic.
I've also begun to follow AutomaticJak quite a bit. He is a
popular priest theorycrafter and I like how he gives more
in-depth info on real raiding situations rather than sim #'s.
I also browse the Icy-Veins and MMO-Champ sites as well as watch
the FatbossTV raid boss previews and strats. These are very
common in the WoW community and provide a great starting point
for most raid encounters and strats.
Please list your previous raiding guilds:
Ante Meridiem - Stormrage
Unlocked Potential - Drak'Tharon/Sargeras
If you are currently in a guild, why are you looking to leave?:
I'm not. However, I was in a guild to start Legion raiding but
they added days for progression that I could not make. This
happened, literally, at the last moment.
Why are you looking to join Highly Successful?:
I want a guild that is successful, but also stable. I see a lot
of guilds sprint out, then fall apart upon hitting a wall. You
guys have some history dating back to at least BRF. I know
first hand that keeping a guild together and successful for that
long, takes a lot of effort from the leadership. I spend a lot
of time playing this game. It's my hobby, and I want to enjoy
it. The best way to enjoy the game is to play with like-minded
people that you enjoy being around. I don't know a LOT about
you guys, but what I do know has pointed me in your direction.
What can you offer Highly Successful if accepted as a raider?:
I consider myself a slow burn. I get better and stronger as I
go. My 3rd pull is better than my 1st. My 5th boss is better
than my 2nd. I constantly work to improve my play and my toon.
I've been playing this game since Vanilla and I like to think
I've seen a lot of what it has to offer, both in-game and from a
social perspective.
I do the basics - Research, Raid Prep, keeping IRL in order so
that it doesn't spill over into the game, etc.
I'm mature. 33, wife, daughter, etc. So you don't have to
worry about a ragequit over gear, or anything silly like that.
I know what higher-end raiding requires. I understand that not
missing raid is important, that mistakes (and time) are costly,
and that wasting 19 other people's time is downright
disrespectful. I am mindful of that when I play.
I'm loyal. I'm not that guy who blows up the meters and then
disappears for 2 years.
Is there anything else you would like us to know?:
I guess I covered a lot of this in the last question.
Ultimately, I'd like whoever is looking at this to know that I'm
looking for a home for the long-haul. Not just 1 raid tier.
I've been in 2 guilds dating back to Wrath of the Lich King, so
I don't move much. I work from home and am able to play quite a
bit (on weekdays mostly) so choosing the right home is important
to me.
I am a former GM and raid leader for a guild that lasted over 3
xpacs. I understand the hassles/struggles/drama that leadership
goes through. I pride myself on offering quality insight when
needed, but also knowing when to "shut up and raid." haha! I
know that as an officer and raid leader, there are times that
you simply need people to execute what you are asking them to
do, rather than offer suggestions every 20 seconds.
I have 2 raid-ready toons. (One slightly better than the
other). 848 and 843 respectively. Both are holy priests. The
guild I had planned on raiding with was doing split runs to gear
faster, so a lot of my legion time has been spent on
leveling/playing/gearing the alt. I try to have them as near to
clones as I can. This makes swapping back and forth between
them seemless. I don't have to worry about relearning keybinds
or a new class's info (stats, rotation, CD's, Etc).

Hey there, thank you for inquiring to join <Highly Successful>.
I apologize about the lateness of this response, from what I've
seen I'd like to officially offer you a Trial position for our
guild. As one of the healing core, and officer of <HS> , I can
see that you have the makings of a potentially great addition to
our roster.
Some things you should know, we have at the moment 4 healers
that I would consider "Mythic Ready". A priest being one of
them. At the moment priests are very strong , and I dont mind
running more than one, so that we can make the most of their
cooldown kit and raid wide healing. We sub healers and raiders
in and out depending on the needs of the encounter, and the
needs of our raiders from that boss. If your one of our stronger
players, you may catch a full time spot.
But again at this point , Id like to offer you a trial and see
what your capable of. Hit up Lucifer, Morgrid, Kylore or Taerawr
for a guild invite when ready. See you soon.
