The plan to increase forum activity. (EVERYONE COME HERE)

What is the plan?
As you all may have noticed Hot Topics' forum isn't exactly a
haven of activity at the moment, in fact it's quite the opposite
when at peak we have like 5 members online and that doesn't last
for more than five minutes. So I have devised a plan to help
forum activity, and it's really quite simple and it involves all
of you.
What's in this for me?
My idea is as follow, I'd like all of you're help in advertising
the forum this means you recruiting new members to join the
forum, if this works and you all take part we should see this
activity grow vastly and hopefully the members you recruit like
it here and decide to make there stay permanent (or there
about), you may think well why should I bother getting this
forum active what benefit will I gain from it? now I understand
that but the main achievement you will get from recruiting
members is the sense of accomplishment and knowing you helped
get this forum to a state of glory... But no that isn't good
enough for you is it lmao, so here is what you will be rewarded
for recruiting new members;
~Recruiting 1 member will grant you 5 points (and a thank).
~If that member stays active for a week (comes online at least
once a day) you will receive an extra 10 points.
~If the member reaches 50 posts you will then receive another 5
points, and another 5 points for ever 50 more posts they make.
~You will receive bonus points things like, recruiting a few
members (5 recruits = 50 points).
~I will also be giving out extra points accordingly to people
who are recruiting members that are mature and stay active for
long periods and for people that I can see are making a big
effort in helping recruit members to the site.
What are points, and what do they stand for?
You might be thinking 'forget this I don't need points, what use
are they', if you're thinking that then you will be loosing out
in the long run. Points will be the currency in the forum shop.
Although the forum shop is yet to be created, I assure you there
will be one and it will be a very big thing here where you can
buy a lot of things to help you here on the forum or even just
for personal fun. These points will all be added in the post
bellow and stored her and then transferred over to the forum
shop once it has been created, so think of this as a step ahead
for you guys to get points ready for the forum shop to purchase
what you like.
How can I recruit members?
There are many ways to recruit members to the forum, and one of
those ways is by not making loads of alts, because I can see all
you're IP addresses and you will be punished for that... But
some of the main ways to recruit members are;
*Advertise on other places on the internet, for example; other
forums/sites you use, facebook, twitter, ect.
*Tell you're family and friends.
*Tell people on Sploder.
*Get the word of Hot Topics out there.
There are a few different ways to recruit, and the choice is
entirely up to you.
Thing's NOT to do when recruiting
When you are recruiting please do not spam forums with our link
or force people to join, because this will make people more
likely not join. Also do not make an alt and claim it to be a
member you've recruited because like I already said I can see
you're IP and you will be in trouble for it. Also don't go over
the top and get yourself banned on other sites from advertising,
just PM users asking them if they want to join or make one
thread asking.
This thread will stand from one month today (and it's just gone
midnight as I'm typing this), so on the 20th March this thread
will be closed and unsticked. I hope that by then the forum will
be more active and we will not need this any more as we will be
more popular and gaining our own forum traffic, but untill then
we'll use this to hopefully benefit the forum.
Remember guys I'm still recruiting too so you're not doing this
alone, this is just something you can all do to help make the
forum grow and earn some points for yourself at the same time.
Any questions ask bellow, if not then get recruiting and post
bellow as an when you do, when you recruit post the members name
you have recruited and you're points will be assigned, and when
they reach 50 posts, or a weeks activity post, and I'll check to
make sure and you're points will be added.

Yeah it would be nice, it is quite dead here atm hopefully we
can change that.
