ALL: The Fair was over.
The blonde haired slave entered the Great Hall of Lycus, once
more naked, the tunic of white silk that she had worn at the
Fair taken from her upon their return, to be laundered, with all
of the other laundry that had accumulated at the Fair, that
laundry to be done, of course, by slaves. It was a task that the
blonde was happy to avoid as her legs carried her deeper into
the Hall. The return from the Fair had been uneventful, though
unlike the journey there she had spent it in the back of the
wagon, with the other slaves, whispers having reached her lips
that the Mistress had been displeased not to have ridden up
front on the way back and was determined to ensure that she did
so on return.
The Fair had been...eventful...in ways unlike any other that the
blonde had attended, but then there were good reasons for that,
for in the past she had attended the Fair as a Free Woman, a
Merchant. This was the first time that she had been there as a
slave, the entire affair then being looked upon from fresh
perspective, through eyes gazing upon it for the first time, the
things that she had experienced all new to her, the memories of
them seared into her mind, the central tent, where she had
fetched food and drink for the Master and Mistress, and met the
slave cara, who had served her at the previous Fair, when she
had still been free, the street of chains, where she had stood
with her who was her Master and watched as slaves were sold to
the highest bidder, his hand holding her leash as she had stood
on tiptoe watching them move on the platform.
And of course the Tavern, which she had visited twice, both
times with Marcus Lycus of course, for she knew that she would
not have lasted an ihn in such a place by herself. The Tavern
had been...exciting...a glimpse into a hitherto hidden World,
one whose existence she had been aware of but had always been
veiled behind curtain that no Free Woman could penetrate, at
least not if she wished to retain her freedom, but then she was
no longer a Free Woman, was a slave, as such could be taken to
such places, exposed to their full barbaric splendour, the
sights, the sounds that had assailed her senses, dancers
writhing in the sand, the screams of a woman, a slave, as she
yielded to a man in the next alcove, only layers of cloth
separating them.
And of course Marcus Lycus, her Master. His presence, his
proximity, his scent as it had filled her nostrils, the sound of
her voice as she had spoken to her, asked her questions, he and
she discoursing almost conversationally, as though they were in
truth having the dinner that had been planned but would now
almost certainly never take place, yet still he had asked
questions of her, sought her opinion, she thinking that his
interest was genuine, for she knew enough to know when such
things were feigned, her training as a Merchant invoking how to
read a face, ascertain what is real, what is not. So aye, she
judged that his questions were indeed sincere, as might the
questions he might have asked had they sat at table opposite
each purse sharing meal as two Free persons might do, the only
difference being that she was not now free, was slave, so had
answered his questions lying next to him wearing naughty but a
tunic of white silk, a tunic that he had then commanded be
removed, that he might enjoy more than just conversation, could
instead look upon that which he owned as she had writhed scraper
him, touching herself while he looked upon her.

ALL:
But the Fair was over. Yana found herself now looking forward to
the next one, wondering if she would again visit a Tavern with
Marcus Lycus, what might occur when the curtain was drawn, the
world beyond shut out. For he had given her a glimpse of a world
that she had not known of previously, a world that she now found
she wished to know more of even if in a way that might seem
irrational, for the price to be paid to see this World was her
freedom.
But that was a cost that she had already paid, in deed and word,
a reckless gamble that had set in motion something that once
done could not be undone, had sent her tumbling headlong down a
path that had no way back, he had said as much himself at the
Fair, that she was slave now, would thus remain, freedom a rare
thing that once lost could not easily be reclaimed. But even if
such were possible, would she wish it? For that which he who was
her Master had shown her had been seductive, alluring, the words
that he had whispered as they had lain together in that alcove
sprawled on cushions, her lips a hort from his, that was a world
that beckoned with crooked finger, whispered in the ear,
excited, aroused, a world very different from that which the
former Free Woman had known.

ALL: This was the world that she was now part of....now belonged
to. Still Gor. But very different to that which she had hitherto
known. One where she stood no longer as a person but as a beast,
a chattel, branded, collared, one where she existed to serve
men, to please them. One that she had condemned herself to with
rash action, impulsive thought. But then, that was who she had
been, one that had not sought the easy path, for the easy path
would have been to have declined the wager. And so she was now
slave in the House of Lycus, stood within its Great Hall, naked,
owned, she who had once been a Merchant now no more than
merchandise. But the future that he had spoken of, as they had
sprawled in that alcove, the things that he had said that she
would learn, that which she would become...that future, she
realised, excited her.
He excited her.
