says to ALL: The blonde woke.
Blinked her eyes, once, twice, as she lingered, in that state
that was neither one thing nor the other but rather something in
between, those last few moments, fleeting ihn before
subconsciousness gave way to reality and this World that was Gor
came rushing in about her, flogging her senses, banishing sleep
as wakefulness claimed the ascendancy in what was a never ending
battle, sleep and wakefulness like warriors on the sands that
could never, ever best each other.
Yana, property of the House of Lycus, was awake.

says to ALL: She sat up, slowly, in the furs that she had slept
in, yawned, rose one hand to run through her long blonde mane as
she started to come fully awake, became aware that she was under
canvas.
The Fair.
She was at the Sardar Fair. The sounds of it could be heard
outside, coming through the canvas walls that was the sleeping
tent for those of the House of Lycus. The journey from Freeport
had been a long one, she travelling in the same wagon as he who
was now her Master, Marcus Lycus, of the House of Lycus, and
others, Free person and slave alike. Sometimes there had been
conversation, about different things, other times there had been
simply silence as the turning of wheels had marked the passing
of pasangs until the gates of the Sardar Fair had loomed ahead
of them, late last night. The end of journey had not meant
opportunity for sleep though, at least not immediately, for the
tents had had to be seen to, the wagons unloaded, the bosk seen
to....it had been as though there a hundred tasks that had to be
attended to, perhaps more, much of this a revelation to the
blonde haired slave, for upon previous visits to the Fair she
had found accommodation already prepared for her, slaves waiting
to attend to her, had had to do nothing.

says to ALL: But while it may not have been as she had
anticipated, this was how she had returned. Not as Ydril ze
Omun, Merchant of Gor, but as the slave Yana, property of the
House of Lycus. A decision had been made, a path embarked upon,
a wager placed, she who had been Ydril entangled in her own
proud hubris, accepting a wager with high, high stakes. A single
game of kaissa. Win and she claimed a prize. Lose...well,
consequences of loss were apparent were they not?
Yawning again, she looked around the tent, saw that it was
filled with sleeping bodies, the sounds of those at slumber
drifting about her ears, some snoring, others making the little
noises that people did when they slept. That would change soon
enough, the tent would come awake, become a hive of activity as
the day began, and Yana would find herself out and about in the
Fair, feeling the dirt under the soles of her bare feet, her
slim body clad in the tunic of white that awaited her, one that
would cover the faint but distinctive mark that was on her body,
ran from below swell of left breast to right hip, it clearly a
legacy of something that happened some time ago, scarce
noticeable. Unless one was looking for it.
She wondered who she might encounter when she did venture out.
Those who had known Ydril ze Omun? The thought fed knot of
tension that gnawed in her belly.
