Watcher: Gary Turner
Languages: English, Gaelic
Personality: Tianna can be extremely
flexible. She can be as tough as nails if the situation
warrants it...a take no prisoners kind of person....or she can
be a complete lady with all the refinements, poise and manners
that someone of royalty or born to a family of means would have.
She is as comfortable in a pair of holy jeans, tie dyed t-shirt
and beat up cowboy boots as she is in a 4 figure designer gown,
heels and diamonds. She can ride, rope, shoot, hunt and gamble
with the roughest cowpokes....and fit right in. She can attend
a formal affair and hob-nob with kings, queens, presidents and
the rich and famous with ease....as if she were one of them.
She has a generous heart and finds it difficult to turn her back
on people in need....especially if she considers them a friend.
But she doesn't trust easily. She guards her more...as she puts
it....”fragile feelings” behind a think and almost impenetrable
wall of steel....which sometimes gives her the air of being
uncaring and cold. But once someonegains her trust they will
see a young lady who is warm, thoughtful, selfless,
understanding and who has a fantastic sense of humor, wit and
charm. When she needs to be she can be completely focused and
is always reliable....almost to a fault. As she is honest....to
a fault. She can be her enemies' worst nightmare or her
friends' best friend.
Participation in The Game (Good, Evil,
Neutral): Neutral
Number of Quickenings: approx. 200
Weapon of Choice: Tianna's sword of choice
is a God of Fire katana that she has had since her teacher gave
it to her upon her “graduation”...and she is very skilled in
using it. Since she is an accomplished marksman with anything
that shoots bullets she has been known to carry a Smith & Wesson
.357 Magnum with a 2” barrel....(what they call a speed shooter
because it doesn't have a hammer) or a Smith & Wesson 9mm
automatic. She also is skilled in the use of the weapons every
woman posses, although she only pulls them out as a last resort
because she feels she is being dishonest when she does....and
she abhors dishonesty.
History: 1636 Ireland – Found by a poor
couple just before traveling to England in search of a better
life....and hopefully a job.
1636 England - He had formerly been a
ship-owner to some considerable extents but having met with
innumerable disasters and misfortunes at sea, he was compelled
at last to retire from that hazardous profession, and, at the
urgent solicitations of his wife, retired upon the wreck of his
fortune, and gave up his thoughts to the care and instruction of
the baby girl they named Tianna Lynn Whitman. was a very pretty
and sensible child, and her father, being a most accomplished
man, took a pride in cultivating her mind, so that at the age of
fourteen she was accounted, not only one of the most handsome,
but intellectual young ladies the neighborhood they resided in
could boast of. She was a most graceful person, penetrating
blue eyes and her cheeks always rosy with health, and dimpled
with the smile of good humor. Yet she spirited, passionate,
tyrannical, and unforgiving, and proved she could be reckless
and had a determined temper .

Tianna passed her youthful days,in a
seaport town that, was almost always full of sailors. From
childhood Tianna expressed her regret that she was not a man,
and exhibited all the hardihood, spirit, and energy of the
opposite sex. She worshiped the sea almost as much as God. She
would wander daily to the beach, and watch the ships as they
sailed into port, with delight. On more than one occasion,
unknown to her parents, Tianna assumed male attire, and visited
the public-houses frequented by sailors. It was on one of these
occasions, that she met Jack Jib, (as he was usually called,) a
regular rough-spun jolly, goodhearted and weather-beaten seaman,
who had been in every engagement that England had been involved
in for the last twenty years. Tianna fell deeply in love with
Jack and married him, unknown to her parents. Jack was called
away when war broke out and Tianna, not wanting to be apart
from her new husband, assumed the attire of a man, and got
employed on Jack's ship. Tianna fought in no less than six
engagements on this ship, and was so well behaved and such a
hard and eager worker that she received the highest praise from
her officers, and the promise of promotion.

Jack was a plain but honest man, and felt a
sincere regard for his wife, who always fought by his side,
shared in every danger, and had been the means of rescuing him
from the sword of the enemy, no less- than four times. Their
extreme friendship for each other often surprised the men in the
ship, but still they had no suspicion of Tianna's real sex.
After being engaged in several enterprises with her husband, did
something that offended the lieutenant, who was a cruel and
upstart tyrant. The lieutenant accused Jack of innumerable
crimes, court martialed and sentenced to be flogged. Jack
endured his punishment with great fortitude, never uttering a
groan; but it was more than his constitution could withstand,
and a week later, he died. Tianna inwardly vowed a deadly
revenge against those who had been the cause of her husband's
death.
The fleet arrived at home, and was paid
off. Tianna, armed with a couple of pistols, laid wait for the
lieutenant at night, in a lane through which she knew he had to
pass. It was not long before he arrived at the spot where she
was secreted, and the next minute he was stretched a corpse on
the earth, from a well directed pistol in the hand of the
revengeful Tianna. She then stripped him of all the property he
had about him, (which was a considerable sum in money,) and made
her way to London, where she resumed her female appearance and
got a respectable apartment.
Being a very pretty woman, she attracted a
deal of attention;among whom was one Captain Wilmington, of a
merchant vessel and he asked her to marry him. Tianna, however,
told him that she would never be his, Wilmington still persisted
and he realized that she was not to be won by a promise of
marriage, he made several attempts to seduce her. When that
didn't work, out of desperation, Wilmington abducted Tianna and
took her aboard his ship which immediately set sail for the
coast of Guinea.

Tianna, now in the power of Captain
Wilmington, was forced to submit to his desires. She grew to
hate him....that hate growing each day, and she vowed never to
rest till she made him suffer as he had her, She watched her
opportunity in secret, and disguised her real feelings so well
that the captain had no suspicion of her cruel designs.

Captain Wilmington was a very severe man,
and was continually punishing the seamen for the most trivial
offenses; in consequence of which most of them heartily hated
him. Tianna was a great favorite with the crew, who admired her
pretty features, her general affable temper, and freedom of
manners,. They sincerely pitied her for the dupe she had been
made by the treachery of their captain. In several instances
Tianna had saved more than one of them from punishment, and they
were openly grateful. Tianna was aware of the influence she
possessed over the men, and she had noticed their sullen looks
towards the captain, and overheard their murmurs of
dissatisfaction. When they had been at sea about a month, they
found it necessary to put in at a small island for fresh water.
Many of the seamen went on shore, and Tianna got the captain's
permission to do the same, for the purpose of seeing the island.
The men, who were seven in number, were some distance ahead of
her, and did not notice her following them. The sailors arrived
at a deep cluster of trees, formed themselves into a group, and
commenced a secret meeting! Tianna secreted herself, and heard
all they said; and it was as she had suspected---they were
dissatisfied with the captain, thought of murdering him, seizing
on the vessel, and become pirates: but not one of them was bold
enough to offer himself as the leader of their secret
conspiracy. Tianna presented herself to the astonished eyes of
the sailors. One of them, cried out " We are betrayed !" drew
his cutlass, and was advancing toward Tianna when she exclaimed,
" Hold on! I am your friend . I too want revenge on Captain
Wilmington, I have overheard everything you have said and , if
you swear to be faithful to me, I will help you. We can take
the vessel this very night."

After the sailors recovered from their
disbelief they expressed their admiration of Tianna's heroism
and agreed to be follow her in everything. She then revealed to
them her former history, the service she had seen, and her
resolution to again assume the male attire, and turn pirate. The
sailors promised to stand by her in whatever might happen.
Having come to a mutual understanding they came up with a plan
to assassinate the captain whom Tianna proposed murdering with
her own hands when they had retired for the night to their
cabin. After she had accomplished the deed, she would let her
fellow mutineers know by blowing a particular signal on the
boatswain's whistle, at which time they were to seize all who
offered any resistance, and, at all hazards, make the vessel
their own. Tianna left them, and returned to the ship. The
sailors, having procured some fresh water, and other
necessaries, followed her.
Tianna's determination was unshaken. When
the captain and herself retired for the night Wilmington
appeared more than usually affectionate, but his kindness only
served to inflame Tianna. She waited impatiently for him to
fall asleep and when he finally did Tianna rose cautiously, got
a knife which she had concealed in the cabin, and in one stroke
nearly severed her victim's head from his body. She then gave
the signal and the mutineers rushed in to her assistance. They
found little opposition to their will, and that only from the
mate and another seaman, whom the mutineers quickly settled by
tossing them overboard, and in an hour, the mutineers were
complete masters of the ship. They shouted, "Long life and
success to captain, Tianna Jib!"

That was the beginning of Tianna's
interesting, though guilty career as a female pirate. She
soon spread a great panic among the trading vessels,
particularly on the African coast, where she principally
prowled, in quest of the ships which traded for gold dust, and
her engagements were generally very decisive. Nothing could
daunt the courage of her invincible crew and when they were
triumphant, they dealt most unmercifully with those prisoners
who refused to join them, putting them to cruel deaths, and
plundering them of all they possessed. Tianna went by the name
of Captain Nicholas Jib, (Tianna to her friends) and was known
only as a man to her enemies. It happened once, that the crew of
the female pirate were cruising about their usual spot, when
they spied a ship, of moderate size and making full sail towards
them. Tianna soon discovered, from the colors which were flying
at the mast head, that it was an English vessel and, as it
approached nearer, she found it was a brig carrying several
guns, and seemingly well prepared to meet any privateers that
might cross its path. Nevertheless, Tianna, with her usual
courage and daring, resolved to attack the larger and more
formidable ship, and accordingly made her vessel ready for the
bloody action that was soon to take place. From the size of the
other ship and the manner in which it was armed, Tianna knew
that the ship was carrying valuable cargo and she was determined
to become its mistress, or perish in the attempt. The ship soon
came within gun-shot and proved to be the " Lizard," an English
ship, homeward bound, carrying eighteen guns, together with a
valuable cargo of gold-dust, and having on board twenty one
seamen and twelve passengers.

This was a very formidable foe, but Tianna
was not at all daunted, and quickly hoisted her colors. She
called upon the enemy to give up their ship. A loud laugh from
the crew of the Lizard, was the answer to this order, and
Tianna, enraged at this, gave orders for the deadly strife to
commence immediately which began by broadsiding the English
ship, which resulted in breaking one of the masts. It killed
the Lizard's lieutenant and two of the female passengers. The
battle that ensued baffled all description. Both parties
fought desperately and with unparalleled judgment and coolness.
Never had Tianna met with a more equal match. Three times the
pirates boarded the Lizard and each time were driven back with
great slaughter. Both vessels were nearly battered to pieces,
and numbers were slain. The pirate crew was reduced to eight,
and the Lizard had lost its captain, lieutenant, and several of
the crew. In spite of which the sailors continued the struggle
with unabated courage, and seemed resolved never to yield to the
pirates while they had a man left. When Tianna saw her men
falling around her, and nothing but ruin seemed to stare her in
the face, she resolved to make a final and desperate effort,
even if it cost her her life. The enemy was making an attempt to
board them, and the pirates, being somewhat daunted by the manly
courage of their foes, and the number of their comrades that had
fallen around them, seemed half inclined to yield, when Tianna
rushed forward with a pistol in each hand, and arousing them
once more to act like men, they attacked. With their female
captain bravely leading the way, repelled the foes who were
rushing on board the pirate ship. In an instant a couple of the
pirates who were by the side of their captain, were killed and
lay dead at her feet but at the same moment, she fired and shot
the leader of the Englishmen, who fell backwards into the
ragging deep, and her other pistol killed his companion in the
like manner. The rest of the enemy, daunted by Tianna's
courage, were completely defeated. Many of them were thrown
into the ocean, and those who did get back to the ship quickly
met their fate, for the Lizard bad been so dreadfully knocked
about in the strife that she quickly filled, with water and sank
like a shot, with all her treasure on board! Tianna managed to
get her own vessel into a little creek close by, with the
remnant of her daring crew. Here she bad the ship repaired, and
in a few days put to sea again, though she had now but a small
number of men, and did not intend to venture any other attack at
present, until she had got more hands on board, and the
survivors bad recovered from the panic into which the brave
conduct of the Lizard had thrown them.

Tianna Jib, when ashore, always resumed her
female apparel, and passed herself off as a passenger on board
the Trader, (the name she had given to the pirates ship.) Her
lieutenant, an intelligent man, always attended her, whom she
called her uncle, and who passed himself off as a rich merchant,
so they were invited into the best society. Tianna was still a
beautiful woman, and excited universal admiration wherever she
appeared.

Having put into Grenada, Tianna discarded
her male attire, appeared in her own character and ended up
attracting the attention of a wealthy planter's son, a young man
not more than twenty two years of age, who was so struck with
her charms, that he made his feelings known immediately.
Tianna was pleased with the young man's candor, and his
gracefulness and felt for him an affection as strong as what
she bad felt for a husband. When the young man proposed
marriage, Tianna told him who she really was, and then she left
it up to him whether or not to follow the same lawless course
with her, or abandon her for ever. The young man was so smitten
with Tianna that he didn't hesitate to swear his fidelity and
willingness to follow her where ever she would go. They
secretly married and , not only he joined her on board the
Trader but recruited several father's slaves to accompany him.
The Trader was well manned again and Tianna set sail upon fresh
adventures. He proved, in a very short time, a most determined
fellow, and fought by her side in the most resolute and heroic
manner.

1661 -Tianna and Thomas Ford had only been
married three years when it happened that the pirate ship
suffered severely from a tempest, was driven from their
latitude, and reduced to famine and extreme distress. Such were
the horrors of their situation, that for three days they tasted
not a morsel of food, nor drink, and in their horrible
situation, reduced to the most wretched condition that the human
imagination can conceive, till their sufferings were actually
insupportable. They at last came to the dreadful resolution,
that they should cast lots to see which of them should die, to
support the craving hunger of their unfortunate comrades. When
the lots were drawn it fell upon Tianna's husband!. So great
was her affection for him, that she was in a state of
distraction, and offered her own body to the crew, rather than
her husband.

In this dilemma, one of the black slaves,
who had accompanied Tianna's husband, struck with her
unexampled generosity, and being himself enthusiastically fond
of his young master, exclaimed, "Hold, massa ! never shall it
be' said that my poor master or his misses die, while I have the
courage to take his place !", and, before any one could rush
forward to stop the generous slave had plunged a knife into his
own heart. His body was instantly cut up, and greedily devoured
by the unfortunate crew and Tianna's husband saved from a
horrid fate.

The body of the poor slave lasted them only
two days, and then they were in the same dreadful state of
suffering as before without any prospect of relief. The horrid
casting of lots, for the sacrifice of one of their comrades, was
again proposed, and agreed to when, by a strange fatality, the
lot fell again upon Tianna's husband. Tianna once more offered
herself instead of her husband, but was refused by the crew.
This time Tianna's husband was saved by the magnanimity of a
Negro, who slew himself in the same manner as the other, and was
as quickly cut up and devoured by the starving crew. The body of
the second victim was gone, and yet no help had arrived to the
pirates in their miserable condition and for the third time was
the horrid proposal made, to cast lots for the sacrifice of one
of the unfortunate crew; and, as though an infernal spell rested
on him, again the lot fell upon Tianna's husband! Being entirely
hopeless, he prepared to meet his dreadful fate but Tianna
implored them to let him live, if it was only for two hours, to
see if any alternative might present itself. Then, if
Providence did not interfere in his behalf, she promised that he
should be sacrificed to the crew's voracious appetites. They all
consented, and sat watching their unfortunate victim, with
greedy eyes. But no alternative came, and one of the pirates,
in the name of his comrades, demanded the life of the
unfortunate man. Again their female captain interfered on behalf
of her husband, and begged them to allow him another two hours
reprieve, but their famine was now raised to such an intolerable
pitch, that they, one and all, declared they could wait no
longer, and advanced to seize him. Tianna, with tears in her
eyes, begged them to desist, but they were deaf to her cries.
She next implored them to be satisfied with the calves of his
legs for the present, and then, if they did not meet any help by
the evening, she promised them that she would no longer oppose
their will. To this they agreed, and the miserable man actually
submitted to the dreadful torture of having his calves cut off,
which the half starved wretches greedily devoured.

Night soon arrived, and yet they were in
the same horrible situation; The pirates now declared that if
their victim was not given up to them, they would have both
Tianna and him. Finding, therefore, it was useless to resist,
she took an affectionate leave of her unfortunate husband, who
begged that he might be shot, and that they would not feast upon
his body until they were convinced that his life was quite
extinct. To this the pirates promised obedience, and Tianna
having tied a handkerchief across his eyes.

The pirates did not attend to the
injunctions of the dying man for no sooner had he fallen, than
they stripped off his clothes, and commenced cutting up the
body, and devouring it. One of the monsters even had the
cruelty to offer Tianna a portion of the dreadful meat, but she
turned from him with disgust, and hurried down below. She had
not been there long when she heard a great confusion upon deck,
and cries of "A sail! a sail!" In an instant she rushed up on
deck, as well as her strength would permit her, and there indeed
was a ship making full sail towards them. It proved to be an
English ship. On seeing their signals of distress, the English
ship's captain immediately manned a couple of boats and sent
them, with all possible dispatch, to the Trader. The boats soon
reached them,. The pirates told the seamen a false tale about
their being French sailors, and that they had been attacked by
pirates, who, after stripping their vessel of every thing
valuable, throwing their provisions overboard, and murdering the
greater portion of their crew, had left them to their fates. The
boats instantly returned to their ship, and the English captain,
being a very kind hearted honest Englishman, did not doubt, for
a moment, the truth of their story, and was very much affected
at the sufferings of the crew. He sent them enough provisions
and grog to last them till they reached a port, from which, he
said, they were not far. The men aboard the Trader made a
hearty meal, but Tianna was too much affected at the horrible
fate of her husband to eat much.

Tianna was a woman of strong feelings and
the shocking death of her husband made such an indelible
impression upon her mind, that she became a complete idiot, and
the command of the vessel was therefore committed to the
lieutenant. Several of the ruffians, in spite of the great
service she had formerly rendered, actually had the cruelty to
propose throwing her overboard but the majority of the pirates
would not listen, and Tianna was left to wander about the ship
in her wild ravings. Soon after this, the pirates attacked a
Dutch trading ship of large size and force, upon which the
maniac Tianna insisted upon being attired in her usual apparel,
and with a pistol in each hand, performed wonders, slaying all
who ventured near her. At length, she received a blow from a
cutlass, and fell overboard, exclaiming " My husband! thy bride,
Tianna, the female pirate, comes to join thee!" The pirates
fought as long as they were able, and then blew the vessel into
the air thus escaping that punishment allotted to them, if they
had been taken.

Tianna's body eventually washed ashore
somewhere on the west coast of Africa and after she revived she
wandered lost, alone and confused until she came upon Haresh
Clay who took her under his wing and taught her what she would
need to survive as an Immortal.
1671 -Haresh tells Tianna that he has
taught her all he can and that it is time for her to find her
own destiny. They part ways in what is now Casablanca and she
catches a ship to Spain but the ship is attacked by another ship
flying the Jolly Roger and her crew is completely
annihilated..except for Tianna. The captain of the pirate ship
takes Tianna as his prisoner but she is able to convince him
that she can be more of an asset than just as a sexual toy and
she is allowed the freedom as one of the crew. They head for
the Caribbean Islands. Midway across the Atlantic Ocean they
ran into a storm. They ended up losing several of the crew and
the Captain was washed over the side so Tianna stepped into the
position and once out of the storm, managed to get them safely
across the rest of the ocean. They anchored just off of
Barbados.
Tianna continued her life as a pirate on
and off for the next 20 years (depending on whether or not she
had a ship to command.).

1898- 1903- Helped Gertie steal the Witch
Steamboat which was rechristened the Tyrant Queen and together
they ran up and down the rivers, robbing steamboats of their
cargo, gold and silver from local mines and payrolls on their
way to town. Their reign of terror ended when one of Gertie's
crewman sold her out to the authorities and both she and Tianna
were sentenced to life in prison. Gertie died from pneumonia in
1912 and Tianna died from stab wounds from a fight with another
female prisoner in 1920. She was buried next to Gertie in a
prison pauper's grave (shallow) which she easily dug herself out
of and escaped over the Canadian border and disappeared.
