       NIKKI'S  PERFECT  CHOCOLATE  CHIP  COOKIES

       [center]Preheat oven to 350°[/center]
       
       
       [center]Ingredients[/center]
       
       Single Batch.....
       
       2 ¼ C Flour
       1 t Baking Soda
       1 t salt
       ¼ C Margarine
       ¾ C shortening
       3 C dark brown sugar (packed)
       ½ C sugar
       6 t vanilla
       2 eggs
       1 pkg chocolate chips
       
       Double Batch.....
       
       4 ½ C Flour
       2 t baking soda
       2 t salt
       ½ C margarine
       1 ½ C shortening
       4 ¼ C dark brown sugar (packed)
       1 C sugar
       10 t vanilla
       4 eggs
       2 pkgs chocolate chips
       
       
       [center]Preparations[/center]
       
       1.  Sift dry ingredients together (until brown sugar is no
       longer "lumpy").
       
       2.  In a small bowl, cream margarine and shortening together.
       
       3.  Add vanilla and eggs to creamed mixture.
       
       4. Combine creamed mixture with dry ingredients and stir until
       the dry ingredients are moistened.
       
       5. Stir in chocolate chips.
       
       6. Lightly grease cookie sheets (or line with parchment paper or
       foil).
       
       7. Dust your hands with flour.
       
       8. Using a medium sized spoon, scoop dough into your hands and
       form a ball (golf ball sized)
       
       9. Place balls of dough on cookie sheets approximately 1" - 1 ½"
       apart (staggering rows)
       
       10. Bake for 8 minutes and remove cookie sheets.
       
       11. Allow to cool for approximately 3 - 5 minutes (or until
       cookies are more firm).
       
       12. Remove cookies from cookie sheets and place on parchment
       paper or a dry baker's towel to cool completely.
       
       13. Repeat steps 7 - 12 for remaining dough,
