Personality: Hobbs' quiet demeanor is almost shy-like even
though he has a huge (and somewhat inflated) ego. He is stoic
and focused. He keeps his emotions well guarded. Although he
keeps his temper well hidden....when he is pushed to that point
he can become lethal.
Any Special Skills: Black belts in Aikido, karate, judo, and
Kendo.

/>History: Scott was raised by Stephen and Patricia Hobbs in
Maplebeck, England. He traveled to Japan at the age of 17
where he taught English, studied Zen and perfected his martial
arts, eventually earning black belts in Aikido, Karate, Judo,
and Kendo.
Hobbs spent 17 years in Asia, studying Eastern philosophy and
became the first Westerner to open a martial arts school in
Japan. He returned to England in 1906 and became a body guard
to England's Prime Minister, Henry Campbell-Bannerman, until his
death in 1908.
Scott, deciding to return to Asia, sets sale the day after Prime
Minister Campbell-Bannerman's death but the steamer Scott was on
sank going around the Cape of Good Hope leaving no
survivors....that they knew of. Rescued by a local fishing
vessel, Hobbs was taken to Cape Colony where he went to work for
the fisherman who rescued him.
In 1909 a storm capsized the fishing vessel and its captain and
two of its 5 crewmen drowned. Hobbs and the other survivors
clung to pieces of the boat's remains for 3 days before being
rescued by an Immortal English “privateer”, Capt. Harrison
Knowles. Knowles took Scott under his wing and Scott remained
on board the captain's ship as his student.
Hobbs and several crewmen become unhappy with the way Knowles is
captaining the ship and Hobbs leads the crew in a
mutiny...making Knowles and what few supporters he had walk the
plank...and take over the ship.
1914 - Capt. Hobbs sails northward. He puts to port in Dublin,
Ireland where he senses his second Immortal buzz when, the then,
Elizabeth O'Shea, crosses his path in the market place. Wanting
to meet her, Scott tries to catch up to her but she manages to
give him the slip.
“Privateering” becomes less profitable by the 1920s and Hobbs
finds the upkeep of his ship to be too much of a financial
burden so he leaves it to his crew in 1921 and sets out for the
USA.
In 1930 Hobbs becomes Chicago Mayor William Thompson's body
guard.
Hobbs accompanies his employer to a circus in 1931 where he sees
the female Immortal he saw in Dublin 16 years before...along
with another female Immortal. He pays the circus's ring master
to set up a meet between he and the ladies but he is stood up.
He talks his employer into hosting a luncheon to welcome the
circus troupe to Chicago but the 2 women are the only members of
the troupe who don't attend. He sends flowers to their dressing
rooms by way of one of the clowns but the flowers are returned.
This enrages him...especially when he sees the one called Amanda
being extremely friendly with another man after one of their
performances. He decides that if he can't have the two
women..no one else will either. He makes plans to confront them
after their evening performance...unaware that it is their
closing performance By the time he gets to the circus grounds
the troupe has packed up and moved on to their next destination.
For the next 33 years, Hobbs works as a personal body guard to
politicians and the wealthy throughout the US and Europe, taking
a break to join a militia from time to time. In 1964...with the
help of phoney paperwork, he joins the US Navy and becomes a
Seal specializing in “special ops” missions until he is “killed”
in 1970 and forced to go underground.
Hobbs resurfaces in 1972 and returns to his vocation as a body
guard to the rich and famous which he works at...bouncing back
and forth between the US and Europe...as “death” warranted...for
the next 39 years...all the while attempting to catch up to the
two female Immortals, Amanda and Elizabeth.
