Personality: Seems 'Cold' but it is actually just very quiet and
keeps immensily to herself. Refuses to bend on the rules and
makes a point in following the Watcher Oath to the letter.
Any Special Skills: Reads and writes both Latin and Greek, and
the ability to blend into a crowd and never be noticed. Can
imitate various accents perfectly.
History:
Ashley had a normal and happy childhood until when she was
12 an accident changed her life forever. Ashley and her parents
were visiting relatives in San Francisco and decided to take a
trip out to Alcatraz and tour for the day. On the way back to
the main land the ferry sank. Her parents never learned how to
swim properly and ask another passenger's help as the ship
quickly sank. The good Samaritan quickly grabbed Ashley and
jumped overboard. After a short swim, Ashley and her savior were
pulled aboard a relatively small fishing boat, that was pulling
as many on board as they could. One pulled on board a body.
Ashley remembered them commenting about the 'poor dead bastard'.
She'd been sitting there by herself when suddenly the body, who
had been covered with an extra blanket, sat up, pulling the
blanket off. A quick glance around, showing only Ashley and the
man jumped overboard disappearing. Ashley became hysterical,
asking about the dead man, who was alive, and her parents. When
she was finally brought to the hospital, and her aunt and uncle
came, they shushed her to silence, telling her that the dead man
was someone she must never talk about to outsiders.
As Ashley's parents did pass away, her aunt and uncle became
her legal guardians, and as her aunt and uncle were both
Watchers, and Ashley had seen undeniable proof of Immortals, as
soon as the funeral was over and Ashley was home from the
hospital, they began her education, preparing her for a life as
a Watcher in research.
When Ashley was in her early twenties, she had officially
been with the Watchers for 8 years. At this time, she was given
the option of becoming a field Watcher. Desperate to not spend
her whole life stuck in a library listening to her aunt and
uncle, Ashley lept at the chance.
As time progressed, and as both Ashley's Immortals lost at
the game and her skill at watching progressed, much to her aunt
and uncle's dismay, she was assigned to more and more dangerous
Immortals. Until seven and a half years ago when she was
assigned to watch the Immortal Steven Robert Lee, whom she now
follows.
