Newest additions to the family.

Whew it's been a while since I've been able to post. That work
thing is consuming me, as well as my personal life crumbling all
around me. Fortunately for me, guns are forever, right?
Anyhoo.. Finally got my Titanium Blue SR22 a few weeks ago.
Haven't had an opportunity to try her out yet but she is indeed
a beautiful little plinker.
Today my Mil Gray/Stainless PT111 came in. I'm kinda let down,
the pics clearly show a gray/black grip (the stippling being
black) but alas it's all gray. Also both mags are full of some
kind of grit, almost like fine metal shavings, as well as some
on the weapon itself. Not too happy about the way this NIB gun
came...Still, it's the color I originally wanted. I sold my FDE
PT111 to get the Mil Gray/Stainless.. We shall see...

Sorry to hear about the gun & your personal life failing. Might
be a good time to seek the Lord? I am sure he has a plan for
you!

Finally got the time to do some initial cleaning on both these.
Needless to say I was shocked that the SR22 has a fixed
barrel... Not sure what moron dreamed that up. Makes it
impossible to clean as the experts say from breech to barrel.
Anyway, the PT111 was a shambles. Both mags were full of rust
and metal shavings. After about 1.5 ice ages I finally got the
mags disassembled and cleaned them the best I could. Interior
corners still have a little brown to them, so I lubed the crap
outta it and will hope for the best. At least now it doesn't
sound like I'm loading gravel into the mags. Now I'm reluctant
to use it as my EDC, for which it was intended for. Seems like
everything is falling apart all around me.
