       Light Strikes/Failure to Fire

Here's a pistol problem I experienced. During my last range
visit my JHP45 was having failure to fire issues. After
examination of the bullet primers it was determined to be
getting light strikes from the firing pin. I contacted HiPoint
and they send me new springs (all of them) and a new firing pin.
I've installed the new springs and will be going to the range
Monday to see if that fixed the issue. Out of the last 3
magazines (27 rounds) I experienced 14 failure to fires. Here's
hoping the new springs will correct the problem.
The new springs are the upper springs, substantial length
difference. Maybe someone could speculate as to why...

Went to the range today and fired 200 rounds of Winchester Gov't
45acp 230g FMJ through the JHP45. Experienced 2 light strikes
out of the 200 but otherwise flawless. This evening I broke the
JHP down and thoroughly cleaned and lubed her. I noticed the
firing pin spring got a little crimped but not sure if it will
effect the operation of the pistol. Seems I need to hit the
range again to verify proper operation.
Side note. The JHP45 is an awesome pistol that is a blast (no
pun intended) to shoot. She's accurate, smooth and not at all
fatiguing to shoot. I'm happy to have purchased her. Now I
just need a completely flawless day at the range with no issues
       to solidify our relationship. 8)

The difference between the two spring lengths is from either
spring compression which is natural from usage, OR from the
spring not getting the proper hardening that springs require to
help retain their shape/length over time.
I counted the coils also and both are the same @ 30. End coils
       aren't counted.
Both also look to be of same diameter wire.

Whether I take 3 guns or 30 guns, I have NEVER had a flawless
       day at the range?
There always seems to be a glitch somewhere!

I actually have had pretty flawless days at the range, then
again any day at the range is pert near perfect in my
book...shot accuracy aside. I've had days where I'd do better
throwing my pistol at the target than shooting it. ;)
