Hello prayer warriors. Back in August my wife and I felt the
Lord calling us in to full time ministry as evangelists. So, I
left my job. I have had some ministry opportunities and even
filled in for another Pastor when he went on vacation. Before I
left my job I received a bonus that my wife and I put away to
pay for our regular living expenses. My wife continued working
through September, so we had her paycheck for a while as well.
The Lord has blessed us with some financial support in the form
of ministry donations. Please pray that the Lord brings more
ministry opportunities for us as well as some financial
stability. My wife is very concerned about our financial
situation and has been talking about going back to work. God
bless her, I suggested that if need be I would go back to work.
She said no you won't, God called you to this. I will go back to
work. I believe that this is just a spiritual storm and the Lord
will bring us through. Sometimes he needs to test your faith to
grow your faith. Thank you all for your prayers and God bless.

Well Brother, My Brother N Law (who was my Pastor) worked a full
time job at a local Japanese factory that makes parts for Honda
cars. He was very successful there. Our church was growing very
quickly over 100 regular parishioners. Maybe 2 to 3 times a
month, somebody would stand & ask prayer that Pastor would go
full time, it was time we all stood up and took care of our
Pastor. So after many months of constant prayer, he decided to
accept the churches offer. Everything went well for a few years,
then one family left in a huff and then another. You know the
story, after about 10 years, we were down to about 15 regular
parishioners, and he was forced to resign & return to a day job.
This allowed my Wife to step up into his Pastoral position. What
a Blessing for her! She has been a Christian since before we
met. And she has grown in the ministry, one step at a time. And
now, we can see her ministry struggling also. I have seen many
churches fail as of late, and not sure why with the way the
world is going. I once had a sales job that allowed me to sit &
visit with 40 to 50 Pastors a month. I gleaned a lot of wisdom
from these Men & Women of GOD! But one thing stands out,
"Everything happens for a reason & Everything happens for a
season"! So, no matter what happens in your life, Believe that
you did follow the will of the Lord, and he may just be moving
you over or into someone else's life to Bless them? The Lord
works in mysterious ways, and His ways are so much better than
       ours.
Be Blessed my Friend, Keep the Faith, and know that I am Praying
       for you & your situation!!!

Wow that's crazy. I'm meeting with my Pastor Sunday evening to
discuss my calling. I know I'm supposed to be serving full-time.
But my wife is afraid of not having a steady income.
I think that is a normal fear for wives. It's not a lack of
faith, I think its just hard wired into them.

You are in my Prayers! You are all in my prayers! Just remember
there are times when we all feel called to serve as a
Pastor/Minister/priest etc...We need to be very careful when it
comes to our (FEELINGS) and be patient and pray without
ceasing. There are countless ways to serve the Lord! So many
different needs worldwide, so much pain and suffering.Being in
the Ministries can be summed up in a way a good friend describes
it.It is like a sword being made, you take several layers of
different metals and stick it into a very hot fire then its
taken out and beat with a strong hammer then stuck back in the
fire and it repeats like this for a long time, then when you
think it is nearing an end it starts all over again. Then when
the time is right and is shaped to the will of God and it is
quenched to harden the perfectly formed metal. Then the
sharpening begins which in order to get a perfect edge takes
time and great skill, then it is polished to a perfect shine and
then a handle is custom made so that it can be used with great
efficiency by the owner it was built for. Then a custom scabbard
has to be made custom for the sword because each one is
unique. Then once the Lord is finished and says it is good THE
WORK BEGINS and the ones who stay the course and follow the Holy
Spirits instruction will be blessed beyond your knowledge, it
may not be by material means such as money/land/gold or silver
in this life because these things can corrupt even the most
elect.God has never stated that it would be easy but he has
promised it would be worth it.Remember Christ has said that if
you wish to truly follow me you must let this material world go
including all your material wealth. When he said to a man that
wanted to follow him let the dead bury the dead, he said that
because after the man found out to truly follow him (Christ) he
needed to let his wealth go.So the man said first I need to tend
to my father who is ill until after I bury him then I will
follow you.You see Christ knew the man's father was not sick,
the man was making another excuse not to let the material things
go.He only wanted Christ to bless him with great worldly
riches.God does not call the qualified, he qualifies the ones he
calls. So if you truly want to follow God, it will not be easy
but it will be worth it.And that is a promise from our creator
himself. My Prayers are with you and remember there are many
ways to serve our Lord.Gods Blessings to you all!! Brian

Thank you Jacob, I hope you helped brother Brian. I shared your
message with My Wife. and she understood completely. Nobody said
it would be easy to follow the Lord. The world is a vicious
place, surrounded by wolves and Satan, ready to attack at
anytime. We will Pray that the Lord will lead our paths through
       these trying times!

Amen Mach! Something I have learned after being called is that
it's the small things that make the greatest difference in the
world. If we can help just one person, our lives were not in
vain.I know several Pastors that have held down 1 and even 2
jobs and still made the time to serve as a Pastor until the
congregation grew to the point that it could support a full-time
Pastor without disrupting the work that they gather to do.Help
the ones who cannot help themselves.Gods Blessings to you all
and I will continue to Pray that the Lord will Provide what you
       seek!
