First practical pistol shoot.

Local range/club had their first practical pistol shoot of the
season. It was my first time. Shot my SR 22.
Round count of 14 with one mandatory mag change.
Started in the middle in low ready. You could advance to one of
3 stations. Left station had to targets, each partially blocked
by no shoots. All were standard silhouettes. Middle had 3
targets and the right had 2 more.
Targets had an A zone in the middle of the head and center mass.
Rest of the head was a b zone for 3 points. For the rest of the
body, around the A was a C for 3 points and the outside was D
for 1.
First try I started to the left. Pulled the trigger, click.
:( Racked the slide, click. >:( Safety was on ::)
Needless to say it was a bad round. Took 45 seconds. Had a hit
on a no hit target, one miss on a good target, and most hits in
the c zone.
Second round was much better. Shaved 15 seconds off. No bad
hits. 10 hits in the A zone, 1 B and 2 C's.
That put me close to the top, but there were other people left
to shoot.
Should have final results in a few days

Here's a video from my last shoot this past Monday. I came in
last, wen to fast and had too many bad hits.
Unfortunately, I am not in the video but is hows you what the
shoots are like.

Not bad shooting!
I wish I could shoot in competition, maybe someday?

I'm still doing these. Just had our third shoot of the season
last Monday. Don't have the results yet.
I'm using my ATI 22 this year. Definitely doing better than last
year.
We have a new person organizing them and they tend to be
different this year.
I have slowed down a lot. I've learned, for practical pistol,
you can't miss fast enough. A miss costs you in points, a hit
on a "good guy" costs you dearly.
