       One gun store off my list

       I popped into one of the local guns stores as is my habit. As I
       was talking to the employees there the subject of Hi Points came
       up. I heard every bad thing you can imagine about them in that
       conversation, which isn't unheard of at any of the shops, but
       what got me is when I told them about mine.  I told them I have
       the JCP and have not had a problem with it yet.  To which I got
       told that no one has ever said that before and they don't
       believe it.  Well if they aren't going to believe the customer I
       shall take my money elsewhere.

       I have crossed several LGS's off my list. I have been on
       conversation with a young sales clerk who was ragging big time
       on the HP's.
       I asked him where he had heard this, because I knew he had NEVER
       shot one. He agreed he had not fired one, because he was afraid
       it would blow up in his hand. He had learned all this form his
       Dad, who too had never fired a HP either. I had him pull out his
       cell phone & google Mach O Melvin. He found numerous links to
       Mach & his guns. I asked him, if would he believe this guy with
       this many Hi Point's if he told him they were safe to shoot. He
       said yes, he thought that who ever this Mach O Melvin guy was,
       may know a little more about the HP's than somebody who had
       NEVER fired the gun. He also agreed that if ANY gun company had
       as many guns blow up in peoples hands that he heard Hi points
       had, would certainly be out of business. I then told him I was
       Mach O Melvin, and Hi Points were safe to shoot, and NOT to be
       afraid. In fact, he may end up liking them after shooting one or
       two!!!

       Place I bought from had good things to say.  Not that it was
       better than a $900 Glock, just that it was amazing that you
       could produce a reliable handgun with a lifetime warranty that
       will shoot forever and sell it for under $200.  Not the used car
       salesman telling me how cool I look in a minivan speech, just
       that for the money you can't beat it.
