Some people may not have noticed, but Chrysler has been very
innovative in car design this past 30-40 years.
They started the whole Mini-Van thin in 1984. They started the
retro look with the Pt Cruiser in 2001.
I used to be a BIG Chrysler fan, but had some issues with a
Dodge & a local dealer. So now my last 5 cars have been
Nissan's, GREAT cars & I have a GREAT salesman / dealer. Yo
can't beat a GREAT salesman who can make things happen when
everybody else say's NO!

I always wanted to stretch the back seat area and install
suicide doors. Just thought that would look nice on a PT
Cruiser!

I have the 2001, keep it looking and running great.Although I
have to say I do not look forward to replacing the timing belt
again.I had just been diagnosed with heart failure and was
having a very difficult time with any beta blockers and ace
inhibitors they made me much worse. I changed it outside in the
driveway and what a challenge took 4 5hour days LOL. I used to
be strictly GM especially Chevy.I miss working on my old big
block 454.When I was in my early 20's I took a Suburban with a
454 and a 400 shorttail tranny and a 307 equipped 68 Chevelle
and combined them by myself in 1 day.What an easy project.What a
fun car!

I assisted my S. Korean daughter n law purchase a 2001 Pt
Cruiser a few years ago. She was 25 when she got here in the US.
My son shipped off to Afghanistan & asked if my Wife & I would
let her come stay with us for a year. That was a GREAT year! We
did not have a daughter & to have one at the age of 25, was
awesome. We got to teach her so many things. She got her drivers
license, while with us. My son let her pick her own car and the
PT was what she liked. I even got to teach her how to mow grass
on a riding mower. That's a BIG deal around here. My Dad next
door mows about 20 acres a week & I mow 6 1/2 acres here. She
had never done either of things in S. Korea.
I had the dealership change the timing belt before we brought
the car home. I had heard bad stories about the belts!
