I really miss that gun?

I was once told by a very old man, that his GREATEST regrets,
were the guns he had let getaway!
IF, I only had back ALL the guns I have sold or traded away!
One of my biggest regrets was a Ruger Mk1, that I sold to my Dad
for $100. He wanted a 22lr handgun to shoot with my brother.
This was my very 1st handgun I had purchased. I had owned it for
over 30 years. But he was pushing 80 years old. I had rarely
shot the gun. And I didn't want him to go looking for a gun at
his age. I figured, when he passes away, I would get it back.
And I thought I would sell him a $300 + gun for $100, would be
giving him a GREAT deal. But about a month after he got the gun,
I asked him how he liked it, he said he had traded it at a
gunshow for another gun. He said, " did you know that gun was
worth over $300"? I was so upset, I could have almost cried!

That really stinks.
I've sold and traded a handful of guns. One I regretted, bought
it back from the person I sold it to for the same price, and
kept it for about a year and a half. Just sold it again recently
and so far no regrets.
The only other regret was trading my JCP for a Mosin. I actually
got a really good deal, so that wasn't the issue. At the time I
was shooting rifles more than pistol so it made sense. I ended
up selling the Mosin and made out pretty well, but I still miss
the JCP. Doubt I will replace it though, would probably go with
the 45 next
