Here's some of the FAQ at Kensun:
       Frequently Asked Questions
       1.
       Xenon Conversion Kit lighting system?
Answer: There are three main advantages to installing HID Xenon
       bulbs in your vehicle:
       - An HID Xenon bulb produces roughly 3 times more lumens than a
       halogen bulb.
       - HID Xenon bulbs consume less power than halogen bulbs.
       - HID Xenon bulbs last longer than halogen bulbs.
       2.
       conversion kit to order?
Answer: The vehicle owner’s manual may tell you what type of
bulb you need however another place is on the bulb itself. The
bulb type and wattage should be printed or molded into the base.

Depending on the type of high-beam system your car uses you may
require the Kensun HID Bi-Xenon Conversion Kit. (See FAQ
       Question 11)
       3.
Answer: The 5000k and 6000k are the brightest and also the
purest white. The colors above 6000k become progressively bluer
and less bright. Similarly, below 5000k, as the tint becomes
       warmer some brightness is sacrificed.
       4.
Answer: Ballasts synchronize your HID Xenon bulbs which run on
35W with your car battery which provides 55W for standard
       halogen bulbs.
       5.
       standard halogen bulbs?
Answer: HID (High Intensity Discharge) Xenon bulbs have a glass
chamber of Xenon gas instead of a filament like that found in
traditional halogen bulbs. First the gas is ignited by a high
voltage charge, the heat inside the high pressure tube increases
rapidly, in turn vaporizing the metal salts within the tube
creating plasma that produces the intense bright light
       characteristic of HID Xenon bulbs.
       6.
       much light?
Answer: Even the strongest halogen bulbs aren’t as bright as
their HID Xenon counterparts. Moreover, in order to run higher
powered halogen bulbs there would need to be a more powerful
supply than the standard 55W car battery.
       7.
       include?
Answer: The Kensun HID Xenon Conversion Kit includes:
       2 Kensun HID Xenon bulbs
       2 Kensun Digital Ballasts
       2 mounting brackets
       1 instruction manual
In addition, included in the Bi-xenon kit
       1 relay harness
Kensun HID Conversion Kits are plug-and-play and supply you with
everything you need to make a successful installation without
       any additional cutting or parts.
       8.
Answer: For anyone who is somewhat mechanically inclined, this
installation is definitely “do-it-yourself”. Kensun advises
EVERYONE to seek professional guidance when installing our
products to insure correct installation and optimal performance.
       9.
Answer: NEVER expose the HID Xenon bulb glass to grease, oil, or
touch it with your bare hands! Even the oil from a person’s
hand can shorten the life of the bulb dramatically. If you do
touch the HID Xenon bulb, remove these oils with alcohol and a
very soft cotton cloth. HID Xenon bulbs that are exposed to oils
and grease will shatter and are not covered under the 2-year
       warranty.
       10.
after the Kensun HID Xenon Conversion Kit has been installed?
Answer: If need be, the entire kit can be removed and the
original halogen bulbs replaced within 20 minutes. The Kensun
HID Xenon Conversion Kit can then be re-installed into another
vehicle that uses the same bulb size.
       11.
Answer: For vehicles with a single bulb for high and low beams,
Kensun offers the Kensun HID Bi-Xenon Conversion Kit which comes
with a mechanism to allow for high and low beams. For vehicles
with separate high and low beams each bulb can be changed over
to an HID Xenon bulb, simply check the size of the desired bulb
       and order accordingly.
       12.
On affect the HID Xenon kit?
Answer: For vehicles with DRL that use the same bulb for both
DRL and low beam you will need to deactivate your DRL. DRL
operate on reduced wattage or fluctuating current levels. This
will cause the HID Xenon system to flicker and burn out
prematurely. Please ensure that your OEM headlight harness is
providing a constant 12 volts to ensure that no damage will be
caused to the HID Xenon system.
The Auto Switch On will not affect the HID Xenon conversion kit
or bulbs. The lights will simply turn on just like your factory
       halogen bulbs turned on before.
       13.
Answer: No. HID Xenon conversion kits are not DOT approved if
installed outside of the factory. In the U.S, they are not
legal for use on public roads. As a result, we officially
endorse the kit for exhibition and off-road use only. We are not
responsible for buyers who violate the terms of sale. They will
assume all responsibilities for any unauthorized or unintended
use other than exhibition or off-road use.
