Philosophical direction of my deck (help)
By: StNick2261 Date: August 19, 2014, 10:22 am
---------------------------------------------------------
So... my unlimited deck has a Front Guard all set, but I don't
know which cards I should use for my Rear Guard. I have several
options, but each one changes the philosophical direction of my
deck. I'll explain.
High HP / Healers: Some of the only decks that I lose to have
high HP cards in the front guard and more than 1 healer in the
rear guard. I only have 1 good healer, though.
Attack Rear Guard: This puts preference of the Rear Guard skill
Long Shot to attack the opposing Healers.
Attack Front Guard: This would work either of 2 ways... 1)
Strong Attack Front Guard + Shot/Multi Shot skills in Rear
Guard... or 2) Strong Attack Front Guard + the new Spirit Array
(F) in the Rear Guard buffing them. The idea is to remove the
opposing Front Guard quicker than they can be healed.

My Front Guard:
5* Viking Ogretron
10,000 HP
5,000 ATK
Lv20 Heavy Arms
Lv 19 Shield
*Should average 7000 damage per turn to Front Guard*
5* Striker Justice
10,300 HP
5,600 ATK
Lv 20 Heavy Arms+
Lv 20 Anti-Giant
*Should average 8400 damage per turn to Front Guard [14280 to
Big]*
5* Bravery Weapon
11,100 HP
5,100 ATK
Lv 20 Twin Arms+
Lv 20 Robotic Spirit
Lv 20 Calibrate
*Should average 9909.81 damage per turn to Front Guard*
5* Aurum Phantom
6,800 HP
5,300 ATK
Lv 4 Barrage
Lv 11 Robotic Speed
Lv 1 Anti-Giant
*Should average 8904 damage to Front Guard [15137.7 to Big]*

Rear Guard:
The only card that will be 100% in my deck is Custom Tune Arm...
with Lindwyrm close behind with it's buff (for the attack deck)
4* Custom Tune Arm
4,600 HP
2,700 ATK
Lv 20 Repair+
Lv 20 Robotic Aura
4* Lindwyrm
4,800 HP
3,500 ATK
Lv 6 Long Shot
Lv 1 Robotic Spirit+ [A]
*Should average 2800 damage to Rear Guard*
These are the other options to fill in the last spots:
5* Final Weapon
3,900 HP
4,400 ATK
Lv 20 Multi Shot+
Lv 20 Long Shot+
*Should average 8008 damage per turn to Front Guard OR 4180 per
turn to Rear Guard*
5* Passion Iris
8,800 HP
4,400 ATK
Lv 20 Long Shot
Lv 10 Twin Arms
*Should average 3520 damage per turn to Rear Guard*
4* Dioneta
4,000 HP
3,300 ATK
Lv 5 Long Shot+
Lv 8 Anti-Giant
*Should average 3135 damage per turn to Rear Guard [5329.5 to
Big]*
5* Blazing Iron Gustav
3,400 HP
4,500 ATK
Lv 2 Multi Shot
Lv 5 Cripple Monster
*Should average 7920 damage per turn to Front Guard*
Or I could use the new 5* card to buff a Front Guard card:
5* Dazzling Deus Ex
4,100 HP
4,200 ATK
Lv 10 Shot
Lv 1 Spirit Array [F]
Lv 1 Stealth
*Should do 3990 damage per turn to Front Guard*
I am also thinking of going for Necro Ogretron to replace
Lindwyrm (but that would definitely switch me from Long Shot to
Multi Shot)
5* Necro Ogretron
4,000 HP
4,600 ATK
Multi Shot+
Robotic Spirit+ [A]
*Should average 8372 damage per turn to Front Guard*

Okay for backline:
-Custom Tune Arm (you're already sold on this card... But for
the sake of the understand of others...): it provides Aura which
is important because it will allow your frontline cards to
survive more than one hit from most cards, even with the
activation of a skill like Furious Strike. Heal is important
just because it's like extending the life of another card. Once
it dies, it's gone)
-Lindwyrm: The dual-Spirit boost in your deck will allow your
cards to OHKO most cards when Furious Strike activates. If
Barrage activates, it should put most of the enemy card within
2k of dying, allowing Final Weapon to finish them off, which
brings me to my next card.
-Final Weapon: At skill level 20 for both skills, this card is
great. It can hit backline cards with respectable power and
accuracy, and it can finish off frontline cards that your
frontline hasn't quite been able to destroy. On top of that,
Multi-Shot is a great skill for finishing off the enemy backline
one their frontline is gone. With dual-Spirit, this card will
dish out some serious damage with serious consistency.
-Deus (Event Card): Great card. Changed the game, really. I
carry 2 of them for each race, one of which is getting all of my
skill eggs. At skill level 20, this card will have a 90% (if I
remember correctly) chance to boost the selected card's attack
by 120% (I know that this number is correct, and a 120% boost
means it'll be at 220% of it's original attack, which is
fantastic). The card I'd recommend placing it behind it Bravery
Weapon. With that boost, combined with dual-Spirit (and possible
Calibration) will OHKO most cards; any card it doesn't kill will
be finished by Final Weapon. It's a great combo. Additionally,
Deus has Shot, which is a great skill. My Monster version deals
6,000~ damage with his, and that's with 90% accuracy. Again,
great for finishing off frontline cards.
Ultimately, I think that would be the best choice. I don't like
Iris, so that's pretty much out of the question. Gustav can be
useful if you only target Monster decks, but I consider him less
useful than the 4 listed. I believe that this combination has
great synergy and will be really effective.

Thanks BlueRedFire for the analysis. I agree with everything
you've said. I was going to put the Deus behind my Phantom, but
I'll move it behind the Bravery Weapon. And that buff is much
higher than I expected it to be. :o
I definitely want to swap out my Lindwyrm for Necro Ogretron.
The only difference is Final Weapon / Gustav... If I want to
focus on Front Guard attacks, Gustav does almost as much
damage... and for 1/3rd of the opponents, it would do a large
debuff... but I like both of them.

Yeah I prefer Deus on Bravery for 2 reasons:
1. The chance for Twin Arms+ to activate is higher than the
chance for Barrage to activate
2. Bravery has more HP than Phantom. Phantom will usually die
after the first turn... It's a bit of a glass cannon. I prefer
to pair Deus with a card that's bulkier so it lasts longer,
putting out a higher damage total per battle than Phantom. This
may not seem true in the easy battle, but in the close ones
against good decks, Bravery is a much better bet than Phantom
IMO.

Yes i agree with blueredfire.
You already have a good deck.
What i am recommending is if you have a better front guard, get
viking replaced thou i am still using it too.
Reason being is speed too slow..

Very solid deck imo. The only thing I would change is the Viking
for reasons said:
It's too slow.
While his Heavy Arms will do lots of damage and he can survive
plenty of hits (and even more with Block) the speed of 3 isn't
great at all (even with the buff)
Were you not here for the Ancient Library event? The Shot/Aura+
card would have been a very good addition to your deck.

I'm thinking Viking is in there because he has no other
alternative.

I joined right after the ancient library event
I actually have 2 Striker Justice and 2 Bravery Weapons... I'm
willing to swap him out but I actually like Viking... I know he
is slow, but his Shield blocks an average of 15504 damage in
addition to his regular HP right now... and he doesn't do that
bad of damage... I just wish he had Siren as well so he could
really protect my other attackers.
I like having 1 meat shield + 1 healer... 3 front guard
attackers and 3 rear guard attackers... although I just swapped
out a rear guard attackers for a buffer.
