5* vs 4*

In my humble opinion, i would rather go for 4* cards than 5* if
i have a choice. So far, most if not all 5* single slot card
have skills that are (+)/(++). These skills are so hard to find
even in card machine and imagine how much cards of that same
skill you need to farm till level 20???
On the other hand, 4* card skill make it more worth as skills
are either normal or occasion (+) which make it more probable to
get it to level 20.
What do you think and what is your preferance?

I would say most 4* and 5* that are in the same line would have
the 5* as better... for example:
Viking Ogretron - 10,000HP - 5,000ATK - 3SPD
Heavy Arms - easy to upgrade from Robotic Tower
Shield - hard to upgrade after event ends
Gale Knight Ogretron - 8,000HP - 4,100ATK - 6SPD
Heavy Arms - easy to upgrade from Robotic Tower
In this example, the Viking Ogretron is clearly the better card
(everywhere but speed, although you have Shield to absorb that
first hit you'll take from being slow). But Viking Ogretron was
an AP/Event reward and I really like those (especially since it
gives you the hard to find cards to skill level).
For my next example I have a 5* card that I got from machines:
Final Weapon... vs a 4* tournament reward card: Morgenstern
Final Weapon - 3,900HP - 4,400ATK - 6SPD
Multi Shot+ - impossible to upgrade
Long Shot+ - impossible to upgrade
Morgenstern - 4,900HP - 3,300ATK - 3SPD
Long Shot - easy to upgrade from Robotic Tower
Robotic Spirit - easy to upgrade from Robotic Tower
Final Weapon will hit first and has higher ATK. Morgenstern with
lvl 20 Robotic Spirit casting should have an ATK of
(4,200-4,300) which is definitely close, but is still slower.
Also, Morgenstern's Long Shot at lvl 20 should have a 79% hit
chance... whereas Final Weapon's Long Shot+ has 75% hit chance
at lvl 1. I would say Final Weapon is the better attacker
(barely) and would use Morgenstern for the ATK buff unless you
have another card with the same buff.
There's no real simple answer to your question. My 5* cards that
I got from AP/Events each have 1 easy to lvl skill and 1 hard to
lvl skill (Blazing Iron Gustav, Viking Ogretron and Passion
Iris).
Most of the team buffs don't have much benefit to a skill+ vs a
regular skill, but most of those are found in the 4* cards from
the storyline. The only real benefit is being able to have 2 of
the same buff go off... Robotic Spirit and Robotic Spirit+ (A).
And that's not really a 4* vs 5* comparison.
This has really got me thinking, but I think I would conclude
that:
AP/Event 5* are the best.
Regular 5* cards with skill lvl 1 are about equal to 4* cards
with skill lvl 20.
To answer your question, I wouldn't disregard a 5*, but I
wouldn't go out of my way to replace a good 4* with one.

Love your breakdown in the analysis of the differences in the 4*
vs 5*. Yes i agreed that i will not disregard 5* cards but like
you have mentioned, it kinda impossible to get those (+) skill.
Guess i have to count a lot on my luck in summoning.
I have 2 Striker Justice and not willing to feed one to
another...end up both are in my decks. His heavy arms+ seems
impossible to get..Twin arms+ ain't that bad as i can still harp
on evolved card to get that skill...

I have a Striker Justice as well and for the love of God don't
feed one to the other, haha.
Striker Justice has 2 skills:
"Anti-Giant" is easily found in Robotic Towers from the abundant
Galleon. Once that skill hits lvl 20 then start leveling up the
harder skill...
"Heavy Arms+"... you need to use skill eggs.
I have a thread on when to use skill eggs, and this is the
perfect example.
Also, if you have cleared the event zones, you can keep going
back through the final zone as Skill Eggs are a rare drop. I've
been using potions to go through that zone over and over and I
have over 20 skill eggs now. (you can also get skill eggs as
rewards for certain things like points in certain tournaments).
You have 2 days left of that event zone to get skill eggs.

Luck is not with me...thou i have use pots to repeat last floor
but only get about 6 total...still saving it up at the moment.
;)

Nice. I am also saving up my skill eggs for later. If only I had
any luck with the card machines. They always give me the lowest
possible outcome. This current machine gives out skill eggs and
potions and special tokens. And a new tournament event can give
you skill eggs depending on your rank. Normal tournaments at
300pt give you a skill egg as well.
I only got two skill eggs from the bonus event floor. And also
the card bank is very good to store your eggs in.

Yes but i am weak on heavy weight, fed a few away and currently
only have 3 on deck...juz hope i can hit 100 points...300 for
this event is not possible for me...
4* card event does not go easy on me too....only unlimited event
i can hit 300 points...

I agree, my heavy weight team is VERY WEAK, I only have a chance
in the IMPERIAL (4* and Under) which gives out mongersterns
(spelling may be wrong). But the bad thing is that I go by AEST
which means that the tournaments finish at 1pm for me and I
cannot access it until 3pm on weekdays. So this makes it harder
to get any prize for sure and I will have to us double the BP
because I miss out on bonus hour as well.

The Morgenstern is nice (I compared it to the 5* above)
So, we were wondering about certain places to acquire skilled
cards...
You can go to Robotic Tower to level:
Cripple Monster: 1-4, 17-20, 33-36
Shot: 1-4, 17-20, 33-36
Robotic Spirit: 5-8, 21-24, 37-40
Anti-Giant: 5-8, 21-24, 37-40
Robotic Speed: 9-12, 25-32
Heavy Arms: 9-12, 25-32
Long Shot: 13-16, 29-32
Robotic Aura: 13-16, 29-32
In the Arena you can find:
Twin Arms... Buildron and Sniperbot in Seaside Cave Arena
Shield & Siren... Steel Sword and Steel Guard in Seaport Town
Arena
Stealth... Eye Copter and Taker in Mysterious Lush Forest Arena
Twin Arms+... Constructibot and Constructi-Horse in Inside the
Clock Tower Arena
From just Questing through the areas:
Twin Arms+... Dock Bird is in Mysterious Lush Forest... Dock
Mobile is in Clock Tower's Eastside (I haven't found Dock
Fighter yet)
Help would be nice to record what you find through different
areas. There aren't many skilled cards, but there are sum... I
know there are healing skills there too.
