So im taking this "filler" team will be competitive? Will the
people selecting for this team choose best available or should
they leave best available for the people actually playing? Im
torn which it should go. If the filler team locks up some studs
and there are no trades, the filler team could possibly make the
playoffs and leave one of us out. So I guess Im asking what is
the goal of the filler team? Just to take up a spot - then they
should draft non-competitively. If they are drafting to win, who
is running the team?
To remedy this, I say we all take turns picking for the team and
I vote to draft least likely to play guys, my 3.5 cents anyways.
Not trying to ruffle hairstyles, just want a fair league. Oh and
Ive played with 11 before in another league, not ideal either
but we were all competitive and we didnt have a 12th team with
players we couldnt touch.

The reason for the filler team is pretty simple. I inadvertantly
added teams for both "Earth Blues" and "C_Whitt". Since both
teams are the same person, I was one team short and emailed the
league asking if anyone had someone to take that vacant spot. No
one responded but we still needed an even number of teams (12)
for the 6 weekly matchups. So (tadah!) the filler team was born.
I'm hoping we can get a 12th player for next season but, at this
point, this mis the best we can do.
I asked JonLuc to pick for the filler team because if I picked
for them, ther'd be a conflict of interest (I pick right
before/after them). The filler team will not make the playoffs
no matter how they do. I'd simply drop them out and put the next
highest rated team in.
Hope that explains it.....

Filler team is not drafting to win. They can't. Taking turns
drafting for the filler team and selecting lower grade players
is fine with me. I'd be ok with you (or anyone else) drafting
the filler team's 3rd round pick. Or, perhaps we can stop
drafting for the filler team now, release it's picks back into
pool of players and just load it up after the players finish the
draft. Let's see what Pete thinks ...

I like the catch and release - so why doesnt Filler, from here
on out known as Fill - pick all kickers, back up kickers at
that. Then no matter who picks for Fill.
