New Bark Town
By: Eilik Date: July 29, 2013, 2:17 am
---------------------------------------------------------
A quiet town, outskirted by a large lake where many magikarp and
tentacool lay wading in shallow water, the roar of the falls off
in the distance easily heard by the residents of the little
town. A few old couples were out during this time of day, the
heat wave passing with the setting of the sun that was just
happening. A marill runs through the streets of the small town
as a little giel chases after it, obviously the little pokemon
had escaped the family's home. The roar of an engine, a moving
van rides up the street before settling in front of nearly the
only empty house in the small town, the engine settling as a man
in a mover's uniform takes out the keys and moves to the back.
A boy plays a flute on one end of the street, the music followed
by a hitmonlee, kicking along to the beat. His family beams,
giving a chuckle at the performance. A woman's voice calls out
and he packs away the flute, rushing inside for dinner with the
pokemon shortly behind him.
A boy with white hair adjusts his hat as a trickle of sweat
beads down his cheek, first watching the girl chase after the
pokemon before noticing the van. He of course worked as an
assistant to the Professor who worked at the nearby lab, helping
him with what he needed, making sure everything was fine, of
course with the fiasco that happened a few years ago, Team
Rocket had been handled, but they liked to make sure that the
lab had plenty of hands around to help, and to keep an eye on
the pokemon, as to make sure none was taken. A yellow shinx sits
at his feet, peering up at him with wonderment, its mouth open
slightly as if wondering what he was thinking.
He shook his head, dipping inside the doors of the lab as the
van stopped the shinx on his heels, people stop and stared for a
moment before continuing on their way. An old lady slowly makes
her way from a lonesome house, a bundle in her hand to greet the
newcomers, this was a quiet little town, and the residents were
always happy to make anyone new feel welcome. The movers would
move to the back of the van, unlocking the door, and raising it.

A young lady dressed in blue and black would come walking
through the streets, her long crimson hair up in a pony tail
that waved so wispily in the evening breeze. Her gloved hands
were stuffed in her pockets, the sound of her blue heeled boots
could be heard patting rather softly on the dirt road. She
hummed as she walked, a smile curved on her lips, her blue eyes
scanning around. Behind her, right on her heels, trailed a small
Meowth, it had a blue bandana tied around it's neck like a
collar, and it waved it's curled tail about as it walked, of
course walking on all fours. [no super team rocket meowth shit
here, because all meowths just don't roll like that.] It let out
a little meow to it's partner's humming, it's large eyes trained
on her as they strolled through the village.
The girl running around chasing her pokemon almost bumped into
the young lady, but it was avoided and shrugged off with a soft
chuckle from the red head. Her hand reached up, and adjusted her
black bandana that was tied around her head, the blue pokeball
symbol smoothing out a bit, it matched the symbol on her cross
top jacket it seemed. The girl enjoyed living in this town, and
usually walked around each day, interacting with her close
neighbors. She came to a stop though, offering a curious look as
she saw the moving van, her meowth stopped next to her, and sat
down, giving an also curious gaze.

The moment the back of the moving van opens, a rather rough
looking growlithe leaps out of it, jumping over the heads of the
movers. Moving out right behind it would be another figure, one
much more bigger and human-like. While the growlithe lands
nearly perfectly, nose sniffing the air and looking around
curiously... his human companion instead faceplants with a face
full of dirt and grass. But, she swiftly picks herself up,
scrabbling around and looking at everything wide-eyed, with a
lot of disappointment. The town was so... small. But then again,
so was she at only five foot two! Being so short had its
advantages and disadvantages. One of them being? Her pant-legs
were far to long and her coat was just way to long as well. The
blue jeans she wore would had normally dragged on past her feet,
but instead had been cut off to just under her knees. Her jacket
though was less unfortunate, the long black trench-coat dragged
slightly upon the ground around her flip-flop covered feet. It
was a good thing though that the sleeves had been carefully
rolled up, just past her elbows, as the sleeves were also far to
long for her...
It was hard to tell what kind of shirt she was wearing, the coat
buttoned all the way up to just past her hips, where a small
travelers bag could be found, filled with various things. Her
hair was held back by a mere headband, dotted with a flame-like
pattern. Which was oddly unfitting for her teal blue hair. The
graceful growlithe that had leaped out of the van first tilts
his head curiously before his gaze narrows, letting out a low
rumbling growl. Was that... a Meowth he had caught sight of?
Though, the young woman huffs softly. "Don't even start that
yet, we don't even know anyone here yet!" She flails slightly,
lifting a hand to wipe some of the dirt from her face, clearly
not to proud of her... so ungraceful faceplant out of the truck.
It had been rather hot and stuffy back there, sweat was dripping
from her brow, but, seemed to be cooling off rather quickly in
the much more relaxing air with the slight breeze. Growlithe
lets out a rough huff, shaking his head before slowly hobbling
over and plopping down at her feet, eyes now closed as he tries
to act like the loyal guard-dog he was supposed to be... But, it
seems to be failing, the fluff of his tail wiggling about. Who
could not help being excited, moving to a new town! Even if it
was... tiny.

The girl chasing the Marill would blink, shouting out to the
girl as her pokemon skidded to a halt, "Sorry Miss pirate lady!"
Before she bolts off again. The door of the gym slides open yet
again as the boy steps out, calling inside, "Sure Professor,
whatever you say, I'll make sure to send in the report once I
get it typed up." He lets out a sigh, slipping off the long
white lab coat before hanging it up on the inside of the door,
he wore a black and green button-down shirt hanging over a grey
t-shirt. Blue jeans and sneakers as well as fingerless gloves
accompany his attire. The little Shinx bounces around at his
feet, yipping excitedly as he readjusts the hat on his shaggy
white hair.
Passing the girl in the pirate outfit, or what he viewed as such
anyway. It was the closest one would get to pirate in this town
anyway he would give a friendly nod over to the girl who had
just stepped out of the moving van, raising the brim of his hat
before setting it back down on the mop he called hair. New
faces, just meant more people to remember. He had lived here all
his life as far as he can remember, the Shinx at his feet still
yipping away was born from an egg just last summer by his
father's Luxray. Oh how he looked up to it, and when they had
found it to be a different color? His father had said that it
would be his. Of course he didn't have a pokeball to keep it
in, who needed one these days and why would he? The little
lion-like creature bounces before Kit lets out a sigh, stopping
in front of his house, a lonely thing sitting by itself on the
far corner of town, sitting near the lake.
"Alright, alright, but you have to promise me that you'll be
quiet, alright Yusa?" The shinx wags its tail, the little
star-like ending flopping around as the boy chuckles, "We'll
head out to the falls in a few hours."
The mover would release a few Machokes from pokeballs before
they started to move boxes and furniture into the little house.
There was a loud bang as one of them drops a cuch on their foot.
It bounces up and down, holding its toe comedically as it snaps
the boy down the road out of his conversation with his pokemon.
Oh right, part of his duty was to actually meet people who moved
into town, not just pass by them on the street. As another
Machoke came over to help the original the boy rounds back,
yellow lion cub on his heels. He would come to a stop close to
the girl before thrusting his hand out in an almost robot
manner, ugh, personal contact. "Hello I am Kit Yorosuke,
Assistant to Professor Elm, welcome to New Bark Town." He
rattles off.

The red head would blink, glancing back as the girl ran off,
calling her pirate lady, "..... What the-?" she then turned back
around to look down at her Meowth, who was crossing the street
to walz herself over toward the new person with the new pokemon!
Maybe she had never seen a Growthlithe before?! or rather never
seen a really new new person. The curly tailed cat type walked
right over to the big dog, and let out a 'meeeoooowww' in a long
cute sounding tone, offering a bob of it's tail, in hopes to get
a friendly reply! She didn't really move either when the boy
walked up, she simply offered a glance over with her golden,
brown flaked eyes, before looking back to the Growlithe!
Roxy gasped a bit, from her experience, growlithes and other
things like that, didn't care for Meowths, and if not just
meowths, for HER meowth.. Meow just had a way to rub another
pokemon raw with it's spunkyness for whatever reason.. But that
spunkyness was useful in pokebattles, well.. They were usefull
when it came to pokebattles against her father, all that
practice. The girl adjusted her bandana on her head just
slightly once more, running a finger around the rim of it
quickly, before rubbing a thumb against her nose, that for some
reason had a bandage along the bridge of it, she looked like she
was getting ready to kick some ass, but instead, shoved her
hands in her pockets, and walked over, her two tailed coat hang
flowing behind her, as she made her way up to the two, offering
a wave to them both, "Hey.. Welcome to the town, im Roxy." she
merely said, her voice was a bit cracky, not so much from
nervousness, but rather still in the bounds of changing perhaps,
which was strange for her age, either way it held a light tone
to it, even if it was rough.

Lightly she tilts her head as people would approach. Her jaw
clenches, but, manages to smile rather brightly, not extending a
hand out to shake the one offered. "Hello, hello. Nice to meet
you both! I am El, El Troxxic! El or Trox for short, I answer
ta' both." She lightly bows her head, still smiling rather
brightly. The headband that had been holding her hair back falls
into her face, covering her eyes. With a small huff though, she
swiftly fixes it, but teal hair now loosely sticking out in
places. "Thank you for the... uhm, warm welcome?" She mutters.
At her feet, Growlithe squirms in place, peering at the the
other pokemon. Carefully he pushes himself up, tilting his head
to sniff towards the two cat-like creatures, taking a note of
the odd colored Shinx. Though, swiftly his gaze moves back to
the meowth. Cats, why did it seem... everyone here suddenly had
a cat type...? Growlithe would ever-so-slowly walk over towards
meowth, one paw raised as he swiftly attempts to bring it down
upon the golden-coin upon its head. Boop. Boop. "And my friend
here is Growlie." She mutters, not even looking down to see what
the rambunctious fire-hound was up too.

Kit blinks, lowering his hand, he gives a nod before crossing
his arms. Suppose not everyone is comfortable with shaking
hands. He gives a small shrug before turning away, "Well if you
need anything I live on the end of the street. Can sometimes
find me at the falls too." He doesn't walk away yet though, the
growlithe catching his attention he just watches it for a
moment, vivid green eyes curiously seeing how the other pokemon
reacted.
The yellow shinx tilts his head at the two pokemon, planting its
rear in the grass before it peered up between the two female
trainers. It stands before hopping around the two's feet. "Shi!
Shii! Shiiiiii~"

Roxy nods a bit, peering at the boy next to her, "Hm." she looks
to Trox, and smiles, "Yeah.. Nice ta meet you.. I live on the
other end of town.." she leaned back a bit, peering up the
street where the boy said he lived, "Opposite of his house.."
she chuckled softly, leaning back in place, she glanced down to
peer at the pokemon bouncing around her feet, before staring at
her Meowth, who sat there with a blank look on it's face as a
paw touched her head, where the golden charm was on it's head..
A minute past maybe, and then the meowth let it's tail bounce,
and let out a happy 'meow!' offering what looked like a smile to
the Growlithe! bringing her own paw up to bob a bit at the dog,
before it realized what the shinx was doing! oh my! hopping
around! her favorite pass time.
The meowth jumped up, and started to bounce around behind the
Shinx, playing a bit of follow the leader, making her 'mew'ish
sound with it's 'shii!' sound, as they started to bounce in
rhythm.

"Uhm... is there anything to do in this town?" She blurts out,
peering between the two people with a bit of a distressed look
on her face. El was never one to really just sit by and do
nothing... She lived for action. From hills, trees, and tons of
places to explore... down to a small, dinky town that apparently
had falls? Did he mean waterfalls? All she had seen so far that
even looked the least bit interesting so far were the trees...
but that could only entertain someone for so long.
Growlie seems quite appeased with the other pokemon, watching
them bounce around, not even minding about being booped on the
head. And without much else to do, Growlie starts to carefully
bounce along behind the two cats, clearly enjoying himself,
letting out small barks and yips. Such a happy growlithe,
really. El peers down to watch the pokemon bounce around, a
faint smile now across her face.

Kit would look back over his shoulder, "It's a place to live,
we've got the lake, and Tohjo Falls up the way. There's always
fishing, or walking down the path to Cherrygrove." He would nod
in the direction leading out of town." He gives a shrug, "Then
of course you've got the Professor's lab." He would blink for a
moment, "Yunno, he was talking about getting a few extra pokemon
and needing more people to go out with pokedexes. There's always
that."
Shinx was happily bouncing along before it stopped suddenly and
spun around, "Shiiii!" It would attempt to headbutt the Meowth
as it bounced close. It was just being playful, but it was
apparent this pokemon was mischievious and if the other two
weren't paying attention, there may be a pile-up waiting to
happen.
