Alvar quirks one dark brow, still writing away furiously into
his leather-bound book. "Yes, Marci?" He mutters out in a soft,
calm tone. His hazel eyes seemed to have a faint glow in the
darkness, clearly any anger he had about before gone. He flips
the page he was writing on and starts writing on the next with
his finger, merely waiting for Marci to ask her question. Or to
just talk for a bit. He was fine either way and had hundreds
upon hundreds of years to practice multi-tasking!

Nina smiled, and nodded, "Thank you." she turned, and walked
into the house, opening the door, she made her way to her room.
Marci looked a bit unnerved, as she walked in, and sighed. "You
know.. over the house just now, there was.. a murder of crows
and ravens, at least fifty strong... They stayed and swarmed
over the roof, and then just left.. As if they were looking for
something... What could that mean Uncle?" She walked over to
him, tilting her head a bit.

Alvar nods lightly. "I saw them leaving. A bit suspicious, could
be from the Wald, seeing as the Raven does live there." He
mutters as he stops writing, slowly closing the book as he leans
back in his chair with a soft sigh. "Mm... I've a feeling things
will be happening soon, Marci. Not something small, either. As
all 'small' things lead to something bigger." A faint smile
comes to cross Alvar's face as he looks to Marci, chuckling a
bit. "Best keep an eye out for strange things like those ravens,
things we wouldn't normally see around here."
With a feeling like that rolling about in his mind, Alvar was
doing more than just writing, he was thinking. Raven's didn't
just do things like that, especially not in such large groups.
One or two maybe... but not that many. Mentally he sighs softly.
He had a weird feeling about this... And not in the good way.

Marci sighed, "Yes Uncle... But.. Who is the 'Raven'? Is it...
like some sort of harpy queen or evil witch, i have read about
in those old human story books we've found?" she tilts her head,
peering at him intently.
With Nina asleep, and Marci busy talking to Alvar, it seemed the
house was pretty peaceful, the air outside was a still waver of
warm and cool breezes, that came down from the nearby hillside,
the night growing even darker, as it soon started to grow toward
the end of it, it was summer, the nights shorter then usually,
even in this day and age. There never seemed to be enough time.
Though, through the time Marci had made her way to the back of
the house, and all had settled down. Talia had woken once more,
and wandered out of the 'large' part of the house, and back
outside, she was pulling her hair up in a pony tail as she made
an exit, sighing deeply, before adjusting the belt of her pants.
"Mmm.." she hummed, peering at the fire, and Ventus, before
looking up toward the tree, where the sound of vague music was
coming from.

Ventus peers up at Talia, already on his third bowl at this
point. He would raise an eyebrow spoon stuck in his mouth,
"Mornin' Miss Talia."
Eilik would be resting his back on the tree trunk, leg hanging
over the side the song picking up pace as he strummed his
fingers along the strings, he was leading into an actual song
now while he peered into the distance thoughtfully. Why? Because
he can.

Alvar tilts his head from side to side, looking at the book in
his hands for a moment before tossing it off into a large pile
of books, snapping his fingers as another book would promptly
fly right into his hands. A faint smile would be across his face
as he opens the large and old handwritten story book. "Well, it
all depends on your perspective, Marci. The Wald is a place of
eternal darkness, a home for people and beings of the night. The
Raven is one of the Great Spirits that made her nest overlapping
with her sister, Bear of the Forest of Ursidae." Alvar lets out
a soft chuckle, just shaking his head as he slowly offers the
book to Marci, opened to roughly the center. On the left page
would be a picture of a three-eyed raven with various writing
under it. To the right, a picture of a massive green bear with
bits of writing under it as well. If she were to flip the pages,
there would be more with the other spirits in it. Not to much
detail, just enough to curb most curiosity.
The imp would have teleported Derius elsewhere, back into his
bed with a blanket pulled up to his chin, snuggling the pair of
bright neon pink flipflops. The imp snuggled back into his
customary spot curled up into a ball near Derius' neck.
Taru would still be passed out on the floor, out like a light
still, the burns on her chest looking a bit better, but still
quite burned and crude-looking. As they say, let sleeping bears
lay. Or something like that.

Marci leaned in, peering at the pages on the book, staring at
the raven, before looking to the bear, "Heh.. Hey, that bear
sort of reminds me of Taru..." she smiled, before reaching out,
to take the book into her hands, "Uncle can i read this for a
bit? Maybe Ventus would like to read some of it too.." she eyed
the pages a bit more, before looking up to Alvar, in hopes he'd
let her take the book.
Talia smiled gently to Ventus, "Hello, Ventus." she sighed,
"There any food left? I see Nina left you incharge of the bowl
again, last time you ate it all.." she chuckled weakly, walking
over to peer in the under half empty cook pot, "Mm.. So.. Wheres
Marci? I saw Taru asleep in the hall way.. But i would have
figured Marci to be out here with you, like usually.. She always
did stick to you like glue."

Ventus blinks, shaking his head, "There's still some left. And
dunno, saw her disappear into the house after that swarm of
birds. Likely she got curious and went to ask Alvar." He shrugs
a shoulder, leaning back in the chair he was sitting in,
balancing on its back legs.

Alvar nods at Marci. "Doesn't it though? But I've not yet seen
Taru grow any plants instantly or have moss growing on her." He
chuckles a bit, handing the book to her and allowing her to take
it. "But yes, do go and share it with Ventus, I am sure he would
not mind learning a bit about the precious Guardian's of the
world." And with that, not even blinking, his book was back into
his hands, already open and writing again!
