Alice would follow, snickering softly at Kai's words, "Gotta
love horror movies... im sure this is the part with the three
adventurers slash nosy idiots are in the stair well and
something jumps out and trys to stab at them... i hope it comes
after me first..." she grinned, sort of skipping around Kai to
get right behind Eilik, maybe she was just being a creeper, who
knows? she was weird.

The black-haired male would roll his eyes as he would huff,
beginning the ascent up the stairwell. The place was dark,
hardly any light could be seen as Eilik would click on a
flashlight. The creaking of old, rusted metal could be heard as
they walked up the steps. It would be near silent for a few
moments, before they got to about the fourth floor, radio
crackling may be heard.

Kai's ears twitch again as his eyes shoot all around as they get
around to the fourth floor. "Where is that coming from..." His
head is a bit lowered, an almost predatory look across his face
for but a few moments. It would fade swiftly though, a calm look
returning to his features. It seems he does not even need a
flashlight to see that well in the darkness of the stairwell. If
the flashlight were to shine on his eyes, if even for a moment,
they would almost seem to glow, reflecting the light back. He
tilts his head upwards with a brow quirked curiously, though the
sounded seemed to be annoying him if anything.

Alice smiled warmly to herself, walking closely behind Eilik,
not to close, but perhaps she was in the safest place between
the two males, she hums slightly to herself under any noise to
lessen the annoyance, "Mmm... Who knows, maybe like.. it is...
some sort of..." she cut herself short, suddenly going deathly
silent as she stared up the stairs, seeming like she just went
blank.

The man would huff, turning up his nose as they continued up the
stairs, the flashlight sweeping the area ahead. "I don't know.
If I'm correct we should be near the R & D floors." The radio
static would seem to get louder and louder as he lead them up
the stairs, 10th floor, 20th floor, 30th floor. The stairs would
seem certainly endless by the time they reached floor 43 after
nearly twenty minutes of climbing, as seen by a sign on the
wall.
Eilik would huff, panting as he's clearly getting worn, sweat
pouring down his face. "Does it feel warmer to anyone?" The
stairwell wold actually be cool, though Eilik himself would seem
to be burning up, his sweat evaporating and causing steam though
he kept climbing.

Alice would have stayed deathly silent this whole time as they
climbed the stairs, standing behind Eilik, she reached up to put
a hand on his shoulder, which quickly slid to the side of his
neck if he would have allowed, the back of her cool palm to his
skin, "It's not so much hot here, as you're burning up..." she
muttered quietly with a straight tone.

Kai would remain silent as they continued onwards. He would seem
almost oblivious to everything around him with his eyes set
dead-center of the steps. Though, his ears would be twitching,
his nose wrinkling occasionally. His head slowly lifts, peering
at Eilik with a light tilt of his head. "Slightly hot in here,
but, eh. Need a break or something though?" He mumbles out,
gazing silently between the two.

Would jerk away from the hand, continuing up the stairs, "I'm
fine." The walls, if they would start to notice, would suddenly
instead of being the old concrete, would now seem to be painted
sheet metal, the stares clanking under their feet as they
climbed, it was clear they were heading into the newer part of
the building. The static dying down as they seemed to get
further away from it now. Afew floors later, the stairs would
end at a door, painted red, though the stairwell seemed to go up
quite a ways still, fading into darkness. Eilik would look
around, using the back of his sleeve to wipe the sweat from his
forehead, "Looks like this is our door."

Alice looked around, before she would eye the door, "Mmm..." she
stayed rather quiet.

Kai smirks a bit, lightly nodding his head. His eyes gazing up
the rest of the stairwell before looking back to the red door,
sucking in a sharp breath. "Well then, shall we go in I
suppose...?" He mutters, moving forward with a fluid and
care-filled grace towards the door.
