Re: Seeing The World : Chapter One - The Lands.

An utterly soft laugh would escape her, a hand lifted to cover
her mouth. Swiftly though she calms down, lightly lowering her
hands and tapping the tips of her fingers together as she does
so. "Sadly these are not my cubs, merely my kin." She tilts her
head, her gaze moving down to gaze at the cubs as they look up
at her expectantly. Then she drops down to a crouch, hands
extended to lightly pat the small cubs upon the head, nodding
lightly towards them. "I have watched over all born here for a
long, long time. I have chosen not to leave for such a time
because it was not needed, but... we feel it will be time soon
to gather." With a soft huff, the woman pushes herself up,
nodding toward the two of them as the cubs slowly get up and
start to hobble off down the path, not afraid of anything within
the forest obviously.
"You said you'd offer me to travel with you, since I can go,
would it be alright if I did so? Or did you merely say that as a
kind gesture as to not be rude?" While still crouching, she
reaches her hands into the thick grass, slowly pulling up a
small bit of soil. It would, by default, be a dark, rich brown
color and so nutrient. It would appear just as dirt balled in
her hands for a few moments before suddenly something would
start to sprout form it. It would take but a few moments, the
small bit of dirt turned itself into flower petals of many
shades and colors, some of mixed colors, others plain and
regular. "I was a bit weary of you at first. But you have met
another of my family in the past, she tells me so." The woman
rises up swiftly, petals still in her hands, she looks down at
them quite intently for a few moments.
"The past couple thousand years or so, I have been called Great
Mother of the Forest. But that is not my true name, merely
something people came up with to cure their need to have a name
for something they do not understand. The Bear of the Forest of
Ursidae..." She mutters the last bit of her words as if nearly
afraid to say them, or had it really just been so long since she
had said them? With a light shake of her head, she looks up
towards him and to Jack. "I do not really have much of a
'name'... merely titles people have bestowed upon me during the
ages. But I think, Bear would be most fitting, seeing as it is
my given form." And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how Bear
attempts to tell someone her name after thousands of years.

Tenish would blink, it had just been courtesy but, where was he
to tell no to something that would likely follow if it wanted
anyway? He would peer over to the werebeast, eyeing him for a
moment before his gaze shifted back to the woman. "I have no
personal qualms with another companion on the road. Being a
spirit of the forest, you would be able to take care of
yourself. So there wouldn't be any slowing us down more than
Jack does." He shakes his head, before his feathered ear
twitches, narrowing his eyes a bit. "Met one of your family hrm?
I do not remember this, but I could not say that it didn't
happen."

Jack stared at his brother a bit dumbfounded, before letting out
a huff, and wandering up to 'Bear', wrapping his paws around her
in a hug! SHE WAS SMALLER NOW YEY. He thought to himself, before
letting her go. His tail wagging. Yey another companion!

Bear seemed not to mind in the slightest as she is hugged by the
large werewolf, nodding lightly as she is released. "Mmmhm. The
Wolf of the North, my sister." She mutters out softly as she
slowly goes back to the petals still in her hands. "She is very
wise, but very territorial." She chuckles a bit, nodding towards
him. "But that is another story for another time... if you wish
to get through the forest quickly and be on to elsewhere, we
should get moving soon." The woman suddenly opens her hands and
drops the petals into a sudden breeze. The breeze easily catches
the petals and carries them along down the path, dancing
gracefully in the wind.
"I would like to ask your names though, if you do not mind. It
is a bit odd to be traveling with someone without having
something to refer to them by. And calling you 'You' all the
time would get old quite fast."

Tenish would smirk a bit, though with how he held himself, not
quite straight it would be more of a feral grin before he walked
around her, proceeding to continue on the path. She did say to
get going soon. As he walked away he would wave over his
shoulder with the clawed gauntlet, "You'll learn that
eventually."

Jack would blink, quickly stepping around Bear, and following
Tenish, walking on two legs now, he let out a barkish growl to
his brother, his tail wagging in excitement.

Bear merely smiles, spinning around and following after the two
of them, easily keeping pace. "Alright, but until I get your
actual name, I am calling you Petalfoot." She mutters loudly,
slowly moving her hands behind herself and lacing her fingers
together, chuckling a bit.

Tenish would give a shrug of his shoulder as he walks, his feet
were bare, and he did step with a kind of lightness, likely from
the years of walking over snow so he wouldn't seek through, so
the nickname was actually quite fitting. "Call me what you
wish."

Bear merely continues to follow along, still chuckling. She
seems quite happy at the moment. "Well, Petalfoot." She mumbles
softly. "I thank you for allowing me to join you in your
adventure. I've something I am seeking that wandered off." She
sighs, shaking her head a bit, slightly irritated. But without
much else, she swiftly returns back to the soft and quiet smile.

Tenish would peer back, "And what are you missing? Your keys?
Your left sock?" He would smirk a bit still before shaking his
head, "In all seriousness, what is it that you are missing?"
