BANG. One.
She locks her crystal blue eyes upon the other woman with a
ready and eager nod, prepared to run. She would be silent as
ever as she gives the backpack a slight shake, just to test its
full heaviness. She was overly thankful it was something she
would be able to easily carry, knowing it would not affect her
speed much.
BANG. Two.
A slight twitch came across her as the second bang sounded,
gripping her crowbar tighter to the point her knuckles were
white. She was ready, so ready that she almost tripped forward!
But luckily with the extra weight of the backpack, it balanced
her out oddly well, so no face-planting for her!
BANG. Three!
Oshet. Was that the third one? Or was it the second? Now her
mind was racing, a thin cover of sweat now covering her palms as
she keeps her grip upon the crowbar, shuffling closer to the
other woman in preparation to run.

The raven haired woman stood staring at the door, her ice blue
eyes not blinking, even as the shots went off, she jumped only
slightly at each one. She took in a deep breath, counting in a
whisper, only taking one glance back to the other girl, only to
make sure she was ready, she was. One... Two.. She glanced to
the front door, seeing his shadow pass... Three!
She instantly burst forward, opening the door in a flash, as she
raced out of the alley way, and onto the street, she stopped
once, glancing back for the girl, who she assumed was on her
heels, and then glancing to the street, this time that was spent
counted. She turned, and made her way back where her and the man
came from, and after a few brisk moments of running through
clear alley ways, they would reach the back of the building
where the fire escape was. She could only think the alleys were
cleared because of what the man just did, he probably drew every
crawler, shambler, and runner, in a mile to him. She grunted,
dropping her metal pipe as she skidded to a halt under the
latter, jumping up, she missed the low bar at first, and then
she tried again, grabbing it. At this point sweat was running
down her pale face, panting hard, her heart was racing, as she
pulled the latter down to the ground.
Holding onto it, she gestured for the girl to start climbing,
reaching down for her metal pipe, and holding it in her free
hand. "Go quick." she gestured up to the fire escape platforms,
before she glanced back down the alley way, past the sofa that
was still on the around pining down half dismembered ghouls, she
remembered that the sofa missed a runner, and she remembered him
wandering off in the dark of one of the alley sides to this
building..

With ease she managed to keep up with the other woman, somehow
her dark brown hair managing to keep in place as she glides over
the ground right on her heels. Despite running from the obvious
danger with a backpack full of supplies, she felt so much safer
than she had by herself, locked inside the corner store. The
walls of that place had started to creep up on her, it cost her
so much sleep, even with the cage she had to hide in and the
counter to hide under. She would almost seem to be in a bit of a
daze until the other woman told her to go. She had not even
realized she had stopped. She eyes the ladder quickly, sucking
in a sharp breath with a nod. Without even a bit of hesitation,
she nearly leaps over and starts to climb up the ladder as
swiftly and silently as possible.

With another quick glance around, she would rush up the latter
after the woman, getting to the top, she still had her led pipe,
and quickly shoved toward the other girl for her to take,
reaching down, she gripped at the latter, and pulled it up from
the ground. Locking it inplace. She turned to the other girl,
giving a nod, pulling the backpack off herself, and offering it
to her, before taking the led pipe back. "Alright, go up the
stairs a bit, and go in the open window, i believe that is his
place.. Set the bags down, we can't afford to lose any
supplies.." she nodded, turning her attention to the street now,
in wait, she intended to stand by the latter, waiting until he
came back.

"G-got it." She manages out, swiftly turning and making her way
up the stairs with both bags. She eyes the window, the glass
broken. Though she didn't see any stranded pieces that she could
cut herself on, so with a mental nod, she goes about carefully
setting the other backpack into the building before removing her
own and setting it in beside the other. Eventually she would
climb in herself, sucking in a sharp breath as she scrunches
herself up right beside the bag, not even bothering to try and
look around in the room, seeming just unable to do so. She wraps
her arms around her knees, hugging them to her chest as she
sucks in a sharp, calming breath. All the panic from days
previous was returning now that she had stopped running. Though
she did not make a peep, no tears or anything... Just a lot of
soft, panicked breathing. Who were these people...? Would that
one guy be back? Was the woman even going to come up the
stairs?!

A glance over his shoulder, that was a mistake he realized as
his eyes returned to his front. There wasn't one of those
creatures around that he hadn't lured to his position. Currently
he was making it through a small shop, the back doors at least,
if he remembered right, in the back were one way only, so he
could just run out the back and hopefully lose a couple. He
panted as he struggled to keep his pace, any slower and the
runners would grab hold of his jacket, the immense smell wafting
in his nostrils getting overbearing.
He would duck out the back door, hearing the door slam behind
him as he kept running, though it pounded a good few times
before they would pour out again. he lets out a sigh, at least
it slowed them down a bit. His legs were burning, threatening
to give out on him as he rounded a corner. He stumbled, heart
skipping a beat before he regained his footing, feeling a tug he
would spin around, a loud TWANG as the aluminum bat connected
with a runner, sending it stumbling before he would continue to
tear out of there.
Few blocks further and he knew of a place to duck into, he
should be able to get some extra time by slipping in between the
freight and the hardware store, using it as a funnel, they liked
to keep their extra stock close to the store. He would huff as
he pressed his back to the building, squeezing into the small
space. Thankfully he was small, so it didn't hinder him much.
This did it, the creatures were struggling to even get intpo
that tiny space, none of them smart enough to just go around. A
few more feet...suddenly his foot snagged, he would grumble as
he nearly tripped, peering down to a jawless one, attempting to
gum his thick pants, he would growl, turning the bat over before
jabbing it into the top of its skull, the soft material caving
in before it went limp. He shook his head, no slowing down. He
was free of the narrow space before bolting around the side of
the building now heading back the way he had come. He was
certain he bought himself a good minute or two as the smarter
ones would start to move around the trailers.
It would be a good ten minutes before they saw him panting, not
quite sprinting anymore, it was clear he had worked up a sweat
even in the brisk end of winter air. He would half stumble, half
run up to the bottom of the ladder, motioning with a hand to let
it down.

The woman would keep a watchful eye on the alley ways, and
streets, it was still so dark, and the off sounds of action
within the city that echoed, caught her ears a few times, the
sounds of barking dogs, or cawing birds in the night, and even
some where, she heard a faint gun shot. Her teeth were grit, and
her hands were tightened hard on the railing, waiting.. Until
she let out a breath of relief, seeing him return, he looked
worn out, and like he was about to drop.
It didn't take his hand gesture, before she lowered the latter
in place quietly, offering him her hand down once more, in case
he needed the help up, there was actually a relieved smile on
her lips, though, it faded, as she looked up to the alley way
behind him, making sure nothing was on his heels quite yet.

She keeps herself up against the wall, now much calmer, though
she kept her head rested against her knees with a sigh of
relief. It seemed they were safe, for now. Carefully she pushes
herself up, peering out through the broken window downwards,
checking if the other woman was still there. In fact, she was!
And not only that, the guy was back too! That was good, she
hopped he was alright, he looked quite tired, though, she
thought.
Mumbling a bit to herself, she reaches into her pockets of her
jacket, checking for anything she might have had left in it. To
little avail, she finds nothing. Empty pockets of emptiness.

He would scramble up the ladder, a fairly large group of
shamblers just stumbling up from where he had entered the alley.
He would collapse onto the metal balcony, panting,
"Raise...it..." He would manage to mutter as he just needed to
catch his breath.

The minute he got up, and collapsed, she would pull the latter
up, and lock it back in place, watching the group of maybe
twenty five, or even thirty shamblers as they all growled, and
stumbled about under them. She fell to her knees, and leaned
over the man, checking him over, "Are you alright?" she muttered
in concern, her tone low. "Do you need help to get inside?"
