He would grab one of the bags from behind the counter before
slinging his over his shoulders, he would begin picking through
the shelves, snack cakes, jerky, canned goods, anything that
could fit in the bag would go in there, along with some ACE
bandages and peroxide, anything that would help keep a wound
clean, granted it wasn't a bite. He would blow off the sleep
question altogether, he had a shelter, but it was obvious by the
bags under his eyes he never did fall asleep well. It was hard
when you had to make sure one of the ones that were smart enough
to climb, which were rare, didn't get in your window. He'd only
seen one once...the first day, and he still couldn't get those
child's screams out of his head.
For good measure he would stuff a few caffeine pill bottles into
the bag, before grabbing some of the things stored in the colder
areas, they would be lukewarm at best by this point, but as long
as it was sealed the lunch meat didn't spoil fast enough for him
to care. His eyes would flick to the back door as he ran around
stuffing the bags, they'd have to go out that way if they were
getting out. He would toss down the wooden bat, it was plenty
grimy, and he heard something about an aluminum one, lighter,
easier to swing, he went off to grab it before coming back,
finally uttering his first words in a while, "How fast can you
       two run?"

"I was the best long-distance runner in my collage, and that was
with two extra fifteen-pound weights." She said nothing more
than that, both of the backpacks taken from her. She grabs her
crowbar, holding it firmly as she reaches around into one of the
drawers, yanking out a zip-up hoodie. It was the only thing she
had left and she had no intentions to leave it behind. Her arms
were bare, it was not a good thing. She sets down the crowbar as
she carefully slips on the jacket, silently zipping it up to
just past her breasts. She looks around for anything else she
might find useful, and there was nothing she could think of that
       they had not already grabbed.
She then lets out a soft sigh, slowly lifting a hand to rub her
eyes with the sleeve of her clean jacket, not that she had
started to cry again, or that was anything in her eyes. But for
the promise to try her best to be strong.... especially now that
she had found others... Or well, they had found her!

The bag now filled with waters, and some off foods and dry cook
stuff she found, she zipped it up, and put it on her shoulders,
standing, she began to look around for anything that she could
use as a weapon that wasn't as short as her knife, she could be
heard rummaging around the back of the store, until she would
come walking back up with a led pipe in her hand, and a new
flashlight tied to her belt, something she clearly found back
there, she even put a few extra batteries in her pockets.
She nodded to the man as he asked. "So far i've out ran wild
dogs, raiders.. a few runners.. and the normal pack of
shamblers.... You think we can out run that group out side?" she
questioned simply, glancing to the back door, and then up toward
the front glass doors. "Hey.. You said you had a gun to.. Make
sure to take it, if nothing else we could use it to protect
against other idiots with bigger guns...Speaking of let's get
out of here before they show up..."

He would shake his head, "We're going to have to, I'm not
becoming sardines." He would continue rummaging around before
sighing, removing the peashooter from his jacket pocket, "Look,
you lead her to the ladder, I'll meet up. You both might be
fast, good, then keep running." He would toss the backpack
crammed with food at the new girl before popping open the
chamber, four rounds, as suspected only two were used. Snapping
it close he would peer up, "I'll run out the door, lead them
off, fire off a few shots and high-tail it out of there. Get up
the ladder, pull it up and only drop it when you see me
running." He would nod, peering between the two.
What was he doing? He could just leave the two, but no, it
wasn't right. He had almost lead one of those creatures to the
first and well, trapped in a convenience store, that's not
exactly a pleasant way to go. He shook his head, clearing his
thoughts. "And don't disagree, unless you think bolting for it
and attempting to play survival of the fittest is the better
plan, be my guest." Again, swallowing hurt, his throat dry. It
wasn't the safest plan at all, but he did feel a bit responsible
       for these two.

Somehow she manages to catch the backpack, slinging it over her
shoulders with a small nod. It would not effect her speed to
much, she didn't think. Though, she was not to fond of this plan
already, it was never a good idea to split up... how many movies
had she seen where they died when they split up like this?
Though, with a light shake of her head, she sucks in a sharp
breath, prepaired and ready as she gazes to the other woman with
an intent blue-eyed gaze, ready whenever they were. Then
something clicks, hadn't the woman said to grab the gun? Swiftly
she spins around and nearly dives back to behind the register,
pulling out another key from her other pocket, unlocking it, she
pulls out what would appear to just be a small hand-gun. Nothing
fancy or special, with only a few rounds to accompany it. She
moves the back-pack around, stuffing the bullets into a spare
pocket, along with the small gun. Best to keep it, just in case.
She puts the backpack back on, crowbar in hand, she nods to the
       other woman, NOW ready.

Blue eyes set on the man, she shook her head, reaching a hand
forward to touch at his shoulder in objection, though she came
short to actually touching him. "Wait... This.. It can't be a
good idea... You'll never make it with that many out side.. And
what if theres a few runners out there? You won't make it." she
said in harsh concern. Staring at him with an intent gaze,
before sighing deeply, before slowly she curved herself back in,
nodding to him. "But you're right, we won't all make it if we
       just run out there..."
She huffed, looking around the building a moment, the banging it
was still loud as ever, and now there was some even on the back
door. She finally looked back at him, "I don't know you, and you
don't know me... But i expect to see you running down that alley
way, you a smart guy, and brains.. no pun intended.. is not
something we can afford to lose right now..." she reached her
free hand up, rubbing her head, before looking toward the other
woman. "Alright.. Get ready." she nodded to her. Her body now
       tensing up with anxiety.

He would roll his eyes, how many times had he heard something
like that in the movies? Thousands, yet, it always seemed the
smart ones died first, well, that was a good thought to pass by.
He would shake his head before walking to the back door, before
realizing it was locked again, he would peer to them
expectantly. "I'm slipping out first, when you hear three shots,
you know its time to bolt." He would nod, "Can I get this
       unlocked?"

Slowly she nods, key still in her other hand, she would toss it
to him. "That key will open any of the locks in this store,
aside from the one under the counter. Not that it will really
matter after this anyhow, won't be coming back here." She
mutters softly, looking to the other woman with a sure nod. She
really hoped that guy made it. He seemed pretty smart, someone
you'd want to have around in case shit hit the fan or something.
Swiftly she yanks the scrunchie that was holding her long,
dirty-blonde hair back into a sloppy pony-tail. She goes about
fixing it up into more of a bun so she would not have to worry
as much about it getting caught on anything or falling into her
face. It was the last thing she wanted at the moment, something
       to make her fuckup.

A nod came quick to the other girl, as the woman moved over
behind him. "Alright. We're ready when you are." she adjusted
the pack on her back, glancing back to the new one, biting her
lip again in habit. This was so much bullshit, what the world
had come to... She thought, her blue gaze turning to the man
again. Now waiting, her body tense once more.

The man would nod, catching the keys he would unlock the door
before slipping it into a pocket, bat at the ready. He would
throw the door open before slipping out, there were a few
metallic twangs as he obviously was knocking some hands away.
The door would close, clicking into place as it would go silent.
It would stay silent for a few moments before they would hear
him yelling something, likely causing a distraction. BANG! There
was one. Even the ones in the front were turning their attention
on him. BANG! That's two. If anybody watched they would see a
figure, likely a runner run past the front window. BANG! Three.
He would run, okay, not the smartest idea, he had a
good...twenty on him, three runners. He would pant as he didn't
let his legs stop, going as far as clambering over dumpsters as
he ran, whatever to slow them down. He was running the opposite
direction from his shelter, but he had to lose them somehow.
