       Vampires [Vamprism Included]
By: Overlordnim Date: February 23, 2013, 5:33 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The vampires of the world are a strong demanding race, the race
has been around since before the Devils, and were living when
the humans still had the world, and survived when the world fell
out. Though after the first devil queen took order, the vampires
were pushed back from many of the main lands, and when the
Angiles took place in the world, they, and few other races, were
pushed back to the darkest unknown corner of the world, the
north. This is where the vampire clans now reside, though it is
low on food sources, many clans still hold strong, and they feed
off of whatever they can get, making them wild, and sometimes
extra aggressive to get food under a fear of starvation.
       Abilities.
Vampires have the ability to see in the dark, all have this
ability, they see fine in soft lights, such as candle light, or
other light sources, however they can not see in day light, or
day light like light sources, such as Angile light, it not only
hurts them, but has a chance to hurt their eye sight
       permanently.
They also have a very sensitive sense of smell, in their
territory they can smell prey miles away, and even more intently
if there is fresh or dry blood involved.
They have sensitive hearing too, their long ears acting rightly,
trying to sneak up on a vampire with good hearing, is unwise.
Some vampires have the ability to float, mostly this ability
lies within queens, or females in general, it seems to be due to
the nesting need they have, usually taking their young to high
places in a cavern to raise them, or it could be a higher energy
build when the females become of age, and they begin their heat
       cycles.
Other vampires may have the ability to bend shadows around them
to take the form of an animal for a short time, such as a bat,
or black wolf, other animal forms are rare to be seen.
Sometimes it can be seen that vampires have the ability to go
invisible, this is an act few have mastered, it is an ability
much like masking their shape and replacing it, it involves
wrapping themselves in a layer of shadows, making them invisible
for a few moments, allowing them to quickly lose anything
hunting them, or hide themselves from prey, however this ability
       only works in the shadows.
Males have an ability of berserk, causing them to go into an
aggressive state in which will keep fighting, until they kill
themselves, the enemy, or killed by the enemy.
       --
       Powers.
Vampires have many powers, under their abilities, changing
shape, or going invisible count as power/abilities. Powers
however are something can come natural, but it is more then
likely it must be handed down. Vampires have all that it takes
to learn many things, such as magics, or shifting abilities.
A power that is basic and will come natural to any vampire, is
their ability to suck life from their enemy, this is what could
be known as a form of blood bending, it rips the prey's blood
from all their skin pours, and into the vampire's palm, or body,
giving them energy, and keeping them alive for a time. This
ability can occur when the vampire is threatened in a direct
way, most of the time when the vampire lifts it's palm toward
the incoming enemy the power will go active. This DOESNOT count
as feeding, any energy gotten this way, will be quickly used up
in the slightest movements if it is not use getting away, or
taking their enemy down, afterwards the vampire will feel a
heavy drain, and will grow hungry quickly.
Another power they have, its an ability in which a vampire may
talk another being into doing their bidding with a charm like
magic, it can be from, demanding, to very seductive, they can
simply make the being of same sex, or opposite sex, do something
simple for them, or become their slave for a select time frame,
depending on the vampire's needs, or strength.
[more powers will be covered in updates soon]
       ---
       Behavior.
       [Queens and Clan behavior]
Vampires work in clans, which our large groups of their kind,
ranging from the low to the most elite, large clans, become
known as Varrs once they adopt a queen, when a queen is adopted
into a clan, she will be forced to mate with as many males as
possible to ensure max fertilization, smaller clans, will have a
sub queen, however, she is the same as an alpha female, she will
only mate with the alpha male, and bare his children, unlike a
queen, she is not forced to such a dull life style. Queens are
forced upon so much, that sooner or later, their minds will be
warped by the abuse they suffer, or will be destroyed to the
point where they are nothing but a child machine, they will tend
to their young, but share no emotion, and will have no feeling
toward anyone, only aggression toward those who come near their
young, and in their dens that are not of their clan, and after a
       time become very territorial.
Females that have the blood of a queen, will go through a shift
when they hit of age, usually they will gain an odd marking on
their skin, their eyes may change color, and even their hair,
their powers will become more powerful, and they will gain new
abilities they may not be able to control fully, females that go
through this shift, will become heavily attached to a male that
is of affection to them, a child hood friend could become a
mating target, or just a hang out buddy, it doesn't have to be a
friend either, so long as it is someone that made themselves
       important in their life.
Once females become queens, they will release a pheromone
unintentionally, this scent will attract males of the vampiric
nature, from sometimes miles. When a male comes in close range
of an unmated queen, he will instantly start to become
aggressive, no matter how controlled he is, it is lined in his
DNA to desire to mate a queen, and to mate one first is an alpha
move, if a female is left alone, and a male is in range of her,
the male, rather a friend or foe, will instantly try to force
himself upon the queen, usually a fight occurring, the males
will try to grab the female by the neck with their fangs, in
order to give them a shock bite, to stun the female into
allowing a sure mate, as it was said before, later on after many
matings the female will no longer need this bite to ensure no
       violence.
It is rare to have a dominant queen, but if a queen is dominant,
males will often avoid her, rather then trying to mate her into
       submission.
       --
       [Male behavior]
Male's can be aggressive, and usually are territorial, the alpha
males will be the most aggressive, and will kill other males on
sight if they see them as a threat, or if they come near their
       females.
Males when females are in a mating season, they will have scruff
battles, for a normal dominant chain, to see who will get the
best female, or if a queen is involved, they will battle for who
has the rights to be her primary mate.
       ---
       [Vampirism.] ((Updated))
[note that people infected with vampirism do not share the same
aggressions as born vampires, or the same mating habits.]
Vampirism is a disease in category, how it is started, is
sometimes through a bite to a main artery, or at even lower
chances a blood vain. With a bite to an artery or vain, the
chances are low to start the progression of true vampirism,
around 20%, the other percents that are taken from this, can
have a high chance to make the being bit go into shock, or
worse, promote a different type of toxin and kill them with a
       slow painful death.
Now many may question why some vampires have mortal mates, or
thralls that are not affected by this 'infection' that over
takes many and kills them, well how vampires get around this, is
they can form a bounded bite, this means that the bite was not
meant in anyway to be venomous, it is a bite made from a magic,
it is a form of the vampiric blood magic, this magic is an
instinct to young vampires, and it is a bonding spell. The way
it works, the vampire intimately puts him, or her, self in an
embrace on their 'suiter' and affectionately, will bite them on
a spot of their choosing on the neck. This bite is a binding
bond, often for life. The vampire afterwards will have an
instinct to stay near, or protect that being. Sometimes a bonded
relationship can work both ways, as the vampire has the suiter's
blood within them, and the being holds the bite, it has been
known to happen that the two can sense where each other are, but
it has also been known to happen that the being marked has no
ideas of the bond, and can often shun the vampire that is
       showing affection.
In order to truly change a mortal into a vampire, the being must
drink from the vampire's blood, or be given it by mouth, the
being must accept the blood, and then receive a bite to the
neck, the blood that would be accepted is to ready the body, as
the blood acts like an unexploded bomb, but when the bite is
made, it is like setting off a trigger, the blood pretty much
explodes within the being's body, and starts it's assault. The
blood attacks organs, and shells, and even the brain in some
cases. Once that is done, the being literally dies, the being
will stay dead, for about three minutes, in some cases it has
been recorded that the dead stage however can last up to an
hour. Once stage two of the attack is over, the body will kick
start it's self once more, the brain and heart will start, and
the lungs will shortly follow, the person is- in a sense -
reborn as a vampire. [the stories of vampires being dead most
likely comes from the rebirth stage.] Once the being is back
alive, their body will have to settle, but truly they will be a
vampire, after a day, they will show signs of true vampirism.
Such as coming a bit paler, [sometimes getting a blue tent to
their skin, or becoming slightly colder when it comes to their
body heat.] their days changing color, or growing brighter in
color, and/or glowing, their nails growing out like claws, new
muscle growth, [in some cases] pointed ears, and finally fanged
       teeth.
The ability, even this way, to turn a mortal into a vampire, is
only 95% the other percentage, will lead to something that in
instances, can be worse then death. The being can turn into what
is known as a ghoul, unlike human legends or stories about
ghouls made by vampires, these ghouls are not slaves to said
vampire, infact, they become blood lusted, as a vampire after
transition would be, only this ghoulish transition is one of
permanently changing, once a being is turned into a ghoul, they
can not be saved except for death, humans actually have a higher
chance of becoming a ghoul rather then the other races that can
       take vampirism.
Ghouls are like freshly changed vampires, they seek out blood
and always hunger, only where a fresh vampire will stop this
craving and go to a normal standing of hunger after a few weeks,
a ghoul's hunger never stops, and often they go to eating the
flesh of their victims as well as their blood, ghouls also seem
to have low intelligence, they do not speak, except for growls
and groans of ferality and attempted dominance. They live on
instinct, and their bodies can and will grow deformed.
Deformations can be from, large permanent wings, to a full body
over hall, to scale like armor to a leathery skin, even their
       bones can change.
[thats all for now. Here is a link to where i got the idea and
       was inspired by the ghoul.

       [Vampire Surviving Numbers and Locations.]
You have the vampires, yes this is true, they all sound the
same, because many mortal races call them the same name.
Vampire. Well.. That is not all true.
You see, you have the North Vampire, which at the moment, has
the highest numbers of them, the north vampire live in covens of
families, numbering from usually small [around 20] to very large
on rare instances [around 50 - 80] There have been clans known
to each into the hundreds, but usually they die out quickly or
break in half to insure they do not starve. The north is a harsh
place, with tundras that can go months without a single living
creature. Vampire covens usually stay near human settlements, or
places that have good quantity of large game animals. The north
is known for the large herds of Winter Stags, and around human
settlements furry cows, and large horned sheep. They often feed
off of the town's life stock, instead of the villagers them
selves, because they treat the mortals as more of an emergency
food resource. However, from time to time mortals will go out to
the coven's home when close to death, or while ill, and ask to
be freed of a harsh life, and thus offer to be thralls for
feeding until death, or ask for a quick and painless end. Some
covens in the north have been known to take in mortals who wish
to live like them, first they go through the steps, and then are
turned by either a female [if the suitter is a male.] or a male
[if the suitter is female.] of their choosing.
Then you have the 'Main' Vampire. The main is a term used to
describe Vampires from the main lands, it in no way means that
they are leaders, or somehow more powerful. However, main
vampires share a more direct blood and in some cases can have
powers that are special to their DNA or family line. The only
true way to be a main vampire is to be born one, being changed
by one will not root in any transfer of the family or DNA
bloodline's powers or abilities. Once one is changed into a
mainlands vampire however, they may learn or pick up these
things from their master. [A master is a term used by vampire's
turned, as endearment to the one who turned them. Some that have
been turned may even refer to their 'Master' as a lover, or
parent. Depending on the relationship.] Main vampires are one of
the more rare to find, the few that are lucky to make a coven
stay in it for life usually, and try to parent kin, they find
this harder then their cousins to the north due to a defective
gen, it makes the male's sperm broken, or, at rare times, makes
the female's eggs none existent, or 'cracked'. But there are
times when the main vampires can have younglings, it is rare,
and few, and it usually ends that the children do not last until
adulthood, but it happens. Many vampires of the main result to
changing a mate, and having children with them instead, the
child is usually born only half, and pre-transed. [Pre-transed
is a term used to describe a being, that has vampiric blood, but
is not yet a vampire, a full and forced transformation is
usually called for, but at times when they hit the egg a normal
vampire stops aging, their transformations will hit, and it
wrecks the body, which can kill a pre-trans without the proper
help of either their parent, chosen mate, or elder vampire.]
Where the northren clans have a tight nit family mentality, the
main vampires rarely have this, infact many will push their
young out into the world in their teenage years, and move off on
their own again, others will get together and mate with as many
different suiters of their own kind as they can. [This is also
sometimes shared with the Vampire's cousin Umbrakin.] To ensure
there will be a better chance of a larger population, it is a
normal thing that main vampires will commit incest at least once
in their life span, this is due to the fact their race is low in
number, and they will often take what they can get, this could
be another reason for their defective gen. [Main vampires
usually live in the stretch between the high Mountains of
       Dragarr, and the Ash Bay.]
And then there are the Ancient Vampires, these are rare in
today's world, they are often referred to by the other Vampires
as relics of the past, due to their age. The Oldest one in
records known, dates back to the mid 2000s, in the ages of
humanity. These vampires are usually turned ones, well that is
all that is left, no one knows who or what turned them exactly,
but it is known they are very powerful, and are highly
       intelligent.
Finally the feral kin of the Vampire line, they live under
ground, in a large colony of feral vampires. These vampires have
no eyes, their skin had grown over them long ago, so they
evolved without the need, this makes their hearing on an amazing
level, along with their smell, their noses are long nostrils,
somewhat flat on their face. Their maw has evolved to the point
of just needing their upper and lower front fangs, not needing
to consume actual food or meats any longer, they only feed on
blood. They will often feed off of each other, and in many cases
kill each other over the rights to feeding. They could be
considered a mix of bats and ants, living off of a sort of echo
location, and living under a queen ran colony, their queens are
not like the other vampire queens, unlike the higher vampires,
the queens in feral colonies work like a bee or ant queen, born
and nourished within the colony by the queen and her private
workers, the queen, and her private female workers, are often
much more intelligent then the rest of the colony, but the queen
still is just a body to give birth to more, over and over again
she chooses a male, and mates him, [depending if it is apart of
the colony or not, this often contains of forced submission and
rape from the queen, where in a normal higher Vampire
environment the queen would be the one forced upon.] After
mating, the queen often kills her 'victim' and holds onto what
he had to offer, producing another line of the colony. Feral
Vampires do not live long lives, the queens can live up to
several thousands of years, depending, but the rest of the
colony has a short life expectancy of about one hundred years at
max. [Feral Vampires live in ancient tombs or under ground
caverns that many people do not wander to, they prefer to live
alone with their colony. They usually can be found in the lower
plains and desert areas, but some can be found in odd places.]
