Eilik would turn quickly with the whispering, eyes darting
around, he would peer to the throne, where Derius was behind it,
"Uh...did you hear that too? Or am I going crazy as well?" His
gaze wouldn't rest as his eyes scanned the room.

Derius just kind of blinks, offering a small shrug. "I can
hardly hear anything right now. I woke up to someone screaming
in my ears." He mutters softly, peering to the imp. The small
creature merely offers a small shrug, snuggling against Derius'
neck.

Eilik would perform another scan of the room before making his
way over to the throne, eventually just plopping down in
it,because why not? It's a dang chair. He would rub his eyelids,
"Is it me or our luck...just horrible? I was hoping to retire
actually." He would let out a dry chuckle, "I know, I know,
break a seal, regain power, retire. Who would have thunk?"

Suddenly a thud could be heard from the entrance to the stair
case, echoing a bit in the hall.

Derius himself would let out a bit of a laugh. "Waaaay to soon
to be talking about retiring! A kings job is never done until
his death, or something like that." He shrugs, smirking a bit.
"And yes... Our luck is insanely terrible. A day of sleep was
nice, though-... And boom. It strikes again!" Hopping up swiftly
he prepares to charge off to the stairs...

The man would blink, his crimson eyes narrowing as his form
dropped into the shadows, the shadowy blob shooting toward the
staircase. As added hilarity he would catch Derius' leg along
the way, dragging him into the shadows before spitting all three
of them out wherever the thud was, Eilik landing on his feet
like a boss.

They would land at the mid point of the stair case, Talia would
be laid out onto it, seemingly sleeping, perhaps she just
couldn't make it in time? though it looked back like she just
fell backwards, her head back on one step, her long fire like
hair lying out around her, it looked like something literally
hit her in the chest to make her just fall backwards but she
seemed fine.

Derius blinks as he is pulled along. Upon exiting the shadows,
he seems a bit dazed at the sudden pull. "W-what the..."He looks
around as the confusion would fade, a look of near anger coming
across his face. "What the hell is going on here..."

Eilik would peer around, noting her position he would slowly
creep up the stairs, motioning a hand for Derius to keep quiet.
One of his swords materializing in his hands as he would clear
the stairway. There's likely nothing there, but Eilik's still
smart enough to make sure.

There would be nothing around, nothing up the stairs or in their
room at the top, just Eilik Derius and a seemingly sleeping
Talia, though she would begin to twitch.
