       Taking back over.
By: Overlordnim Date: August 5, 2013, 2:22 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It was still night fall upon the north, far between the
mountains of the edge of the spireing mountain, lied the Umbra
Chateau, the castle of shadows, once more to the fabled so long
ago. It now lied mostly empty, but inside there was life, a
small group of Umbrakin stayed to secure the castle, this place
was once home to one of the greatest darknesses on the main. And
now it was an empty cold castle.
In the grand entrance sat three umbra, they sat around a small
fire, the flame was blue that shifted to a yellow like red, so
it would light the area around them, umbra were never shy of the
shadows, they lived and basked in it's ever so gentle embrace.
But there was something about this castle that was unnerving,
even to them, the darkness was to dark, as if it twisted with
thousands of merged souls. At night the halls screamed and
cried, the yards seemed so haunted, and cold, yet no ice grew,
and the tombs that lied here, needless to say, it was far to
       much for anyone.
One of the umbra looked up, seeing a shadow go by from the
corner of their vision, "Hey.. Did you guys see that?" the male
murmured, his other two companions rose a brow, and looked to
each other, quickly their hands snapped to their weapons, as the
three quickly to off to investigate. "Why did we even get this
duty? For crying out loud, we don't even change shifts for a
year and a half, after the lunar cycle, i hate it here during
that time.. I'd rather be inside the capital, nuzzling up to our
women." another male behind him let out a laugh, "Ah.. Yeah
right, like you're good enough for one of our women, if you
were, you wouldn't be out here in the pissing-an-ice-sycal cold.
What last i checked your mom was what?.. Oh yeah a human whore
from a brothel in no man's land." The one in front let out a
growl, "Shut your mouth.. Im as good as our all great leader,
and anyone else back home... Phuck, i should just challenge that
kiss ass and show everyone what a 'great' one he is." The male
who had mocked him before rolled his eyes, as they walked and
turned a corner down a hall, "You challenge him, he'd have you
dead in a blink... Don't be stupid.. even if you can't hook up
as a suiter for one of ours, theres plenty of other nice females
in this world.." The third male stayed rather silent, not caring
for the trash talk, his eyes pined to the ceiling, and walls.
It didn't take long as they turned another corner for all three
to be silent, and the one infront, was shivering in his boots a
bit, the howls that came from inside the castle were haunting,
and made a chill run down his spine. Though as they came to a
dead end, they stopped, the male in front looking around, "I.. I
don't remember a wall being here...." he murmured, looking back
to the others, "There's something not right here..." the one
that had stayed silent finally spoke before he turned, looking
back.... What was this? another wall, they were now closed in a
box in seemed, and soon mortal panic took over, as all three men
backed their backs to each other, holding tightly on to their
weapons infront of them. All three now shaking, this place was
wrecking to the mind, and this.. this did not help matters. It
went deathly silent, so much so you could hear a pin drop.. And
thats just what happened as in the far end of the castle an ice
sloop shifted, and echoed through the halls, before suddenly,
screams were heard from inside the boxed in hall way, inside the
males were turned inside out, and twisted to be part of the
thousands that already made the walls of this castle...
A deathly man stalked the hall away from the twisted shades, his
bare feet making soft fleshy slaps on the cold stone, his robes
dragged the ground so softly, his long gray hair hanging from
his shoulders would flow out with each step. Finally after a
turn or two, the golden eyed spector reached the throne room,
stepping up, and wiping the ice webs from his large throne, it
was made of stone, and had an odd symbol in the back of the
chair, the lich like male turned, and sat gently and easily in
the throne, the marking appearing just above his head on the
back of the chair, it wasn't a fancy chair, a simple stone
thing, squared out too. He sat there, staring out into the dark
hall, the candles that use to light the glass painted windows
were covered in frost, no light lumming from them. So he sat,
now awaiting in thought, his hands brought together, staring at
the two large doors at the end of his hall.

The doors would suddenly fall, the hinges having exploded, the
candles lining the room lighting as a man in a broken gas mask
walked forward, hands buried in his heavy coat, the edge of his
hood lined with fur. He stepped on top of the large doors,
peering around the room as he walked, mumbling to himself a bit.
His glowing blue eye settle on the man finally, before he
removes his arms from his coat, gloves on of course. "By the
Titans it's cold, how can you stand it in here? You're wearing a
robe for devil's sake." He stops just short of the throne,
waving his hands in the air. He raises his gas mask as a cup of
hot tea appears in his hand, raising the teacup to his lips he
       sighs in delightment.
"Ah warmth, but yes, sorry about the entrance. They got in the
way." lowering his mask it would be apparent he may be smiling
behind the thing. "Nice, roomie, eeeeeevvvill, but is
       it...homey?"

The elderly looking male leaned up in his chair as the doors
came flopping down, he looked a little irritated so suddenly,
his eyes glanced up with a slight cringe as the lights were
turned on so suddenly, though they were just candles, a nice dim
light for his eyes to adjust, "And just who..." he said in a
weesie dried voice, "Are you...?" he murmured, adjusting his
weak body in the chair a bit, before tapping his fingers against
the stone arms of the chair.

The man blinks, raising an eyebrow before pacing a bit. "Who am
I? Who am I..." He mutters to himself a bit before shaking his
head, raven hair falling a bit over his mask, the hood still on
his head as he paces. "Well, there are many answers to that
question, and I would ask the same, but I already know the
answer for you. you may know me, but that is not for me to
judge, however, you, may call me Xenith." A hand waves out again
before he produces a kettle this time, shaking it at the man,
       "Tea?"

The man rose a long thin brow, his skin had started to reform
upon his features a bit, a hand reached up to rub at his boney
jaw, "No thank you.... Stranger... I have just waken, how.. do
you know of me?" he murmured in question, his legs hanging
limply on the chair. The hall was old looking, all stone, what
little cloth was left, was frozen stiff, the candles started to
warm themselves and soon the air around them a bit, but it was
not much in this forever cold. The ceiling was also rather
square, and shot up a bit, a chandelier made of iron hung from
the middle of the hall, these candles went unlit, due to the
fact most of them were missing, or there was no wick left.

The kettle disappears as Xenith shrugs, letting a little yawn
out, "Does that really matter? I mean yes, so it was a secret
not a lot of people like to talk about, but it still exists
within certain grapevines. And -I-, am not one without
connections nor does many things happen that I do not know
about. ESPECIALLY, in my line of work." He gives a curt nod,
"So, I am supposing you are wondering why I have come here, and
what do I want." His head tilts a bit as his mask quickly raises
and he takes a sip before it lowers again, this time without him
touching it. "I propose a partnership, think of me, like an
adviser. I don't do underling work, however, I can get your
plans rolling and maybe make them ten times better." He clears
his throat, "As for why? Life needs a bit of entertainment."

The elder tapped a long nail to his chin, eying the new comer a
bit, "I see..... Well.. Xenith, i won't trust you... but.. As i
am now, i am not going to make a move right away without much
help... So i do need allies... Few Allies..." he nodded, leaning
back in his chair, he moved slowly, as if like he were about to
break. "I... Suppose i should.. Accept.." he murmured, so
softly, he was a tired being, having just woken from a very long
nap, his flesh visibly reforming infront of the young looking
       man.

The man grins behind his mask, the teacup being whisked away to
who knows where. "Precisely, it's foolish to put blind faith
into someone you have just met, however Allies are of great
importance. Especially in your situation." He would walk to one
end of the room, trailing a finger along the wall as he gathers
a layer of dust before pinching it in between his fingers,
letting it fall to the ground. "And I assure you, I bring
surprises to the table. Such as, I have an idea, right off the
bat, but you've got to have an open mind, this little duo here
we're putting together. It's missing something, something with
flair. It's missing a third." He peers over to the elderly man,
"I mean, I've got the brains, you've got..." His eyes would scan
up and down the man before he let the word drip like molasses,
"Experience." He would walk to the other side of the room,
repeating his actions, "I'm thinking, we need a bit
of...fireworks, if you will." He blinks for a moment before
shoving his hands back into his pockets, "Forgive me, I do tend
to rattle on quite often, it appears I like the sound of my own
       voice."

The elderly mancer stared at the man as he went on about this
third party they needed, he brought his bone hand back up, to
stroke his short ragged gray beard, "A third?... And.. If i may
ask, just who did you.. have in mind.." he took a pause between
the words to take in a weakened breath, it was deep, as if it
had been the first breath he took in ages, and it was probably
       among them.
He waved his hand dismissively, as if just throwing off Xenith's
words, however, he did listen intently, after all, this man
seemed to have a great some of intelligence, the talkitive ones
       usually did.

Xenith brushes a few hairs from in front of his mask, taking a
moment to think, he smirks under the mask, "Oh, you'd love her,
though she's currently dead, I have no doubts that someone like
you would be able to return her to perfect working order." The
red lens in the mask seemed to glow brighter for a moment, or
was that a trick of the light. "Someone that's already succeeded
in the past of completely remaking the world, with that kind of
experience, think of it. The world, and anyone who stood in our
way, would tremble in fear before even thinking of crossing
you." He lets out a dry chuckle, his words moving faster as he
talked, the man truly seemed like he was excited. "I am of
course talking about, The First Queen."
