       Favored son, shining,
       Golden god of muscle and flesh.
       Warrior, battle tested and tried,
       Crowned in Hera's glory.
       Mortal born, son of mankind,
       Deathless god on Olympus high.
       Savior, friend to humanity,
       Herakles I sing to thee.
       Praise tumbles, slipping from my lips,
       In jumbled heaps upon your altar now.
       Listen, hear my prayer,
       Do I fall to my knees or raise my hands up high?
       I give to you, hero,
       I give to you, theos.
